Harry Potter and the Candy Factory

#181 - Welcome, Headmaster Dumbledore!

It seemed like it had been a long time since he had left Hogsmeade. As Charlie officially stepped out of that territory, he could feel Aberforth's breathing become heavier.

Even the hand holding the painting tucked under his armpit bulged with veins. It was unclear whether it was due to excitement, or a mixture of emotion, joy, and other different feelings...

Charlie didn't know what he was thinking at this moment. In fact, he had never been able to see through Aberforth's thoughts, just like his brother. These two centenarian brothers from the Dumbledore family were always so elusive.

It wasn't until he got into Charlie's car, quietly feeling it slowly rise from the ground and fly into the air, that his expression finally relaxed a lot, and he began to focus on studying this "Muggle product" that he had never seen before.

"Do you usually use this thing to go out?"

In the passenger seat, Aberforth's eyes sparkled with a childlike thirst for knowledge. As he spoke to Charlie, he lowered his head and fiddled with the window button on his side. Watching the window rise and fall instantly with a light touch, he couldn't help but marvel.

"Yes."

Charlie held the steering wheel, turned his head to smile slightly at Aberforth, and casually responded.

"What do you think?"

"Interesting!"

Unlike the conservative ideas of other wizards and their rejection and resistance to Muggle products, Aberforth clearly developed a strong interest in these technological products that were not magic but were better than magic.

Even though it was his first time in a car, he didn't hide his love for it.

Along the way, his eyes occasionally looked out the window, but most of the time, he stared intently at Charlie's movements, watching him manipulate the steering wheel, shift gears, and then accelerate, as if he wanted to memorize all of these things.

After the two had been driving in the sky for a while, Aberforth suddenly asked again.

"This thing... how many Galleons does it cost?"

"It's hard to say, the cheaper ones can be bought for a few hundred Galleons, and the expensive ones can cost thousands of Galleons."

Charlie raised his eyebrows, not paying too much attention, only thinking that Aberforth was asking out of curiosity, and answered seriously.

"Then... how much is one like yours?"

"Huh?"

Upon hearing this question, Charlie subconsciously let out a sound of confusion, then turned his head to look at the old man, his eyes revealing a look of surprise.

Immediately, as if understanding something, a knowing expression appeared on his face.

"If you like it, I'll ask Russell to get you one when we get to the factory. Although it won't be as good as mine, it can still fly."

Hearing this, Aberforth's eyes lit up, a smile rising, as if afraid that Charlie would go back on his word, he quickly agreed.

"You said it!"

"I said it!"

After saying that, Charlie pushed the gear lever forward sharply, and the accelerator pedal was pressed to the bottom. In an instant, the speed increased sharply, and a strong sense of pushing back suddenly came, pressing Aberforth back into the back of the seat.

In front of his eyes, the originally clear scenery suddenly began to blur. Only a "嗡!" sound was heard, and under the dual effect of the engine and magic, the black Aston Martin turned into a stream of light, breaking the sound barrier and disappearing in place.

Only alarming a group of birds in the forest below, who fluttered and scattered elsewhere...

Under the dual propulsion of the engine and magic, the car landed safely in the open space of the factory not long after.

"My respected Master Charlie, welcome back. How did things go at Hogwarts? Is everything alright?"

As a personal assistant, Russell naturally rushed to the side as soon as possible. As soon as the car stopped, he hurriedly opened the driver's door, respectfully welcoming Charlie out of the car.

"Not bad."

Charlie stepped out of the car, first nodded, and then slowly straightened the clothes that had been accidentally wrinkled while sitting in the car.

"Actually, I brought an old friend back this time. Compared to me, you'd better help him out of the passenger seat first. I drove a little too fast just now."

"Gudong..." Russell swallowed, and couldn't help but recall that not-so-pleasant memory from a long time ago. Obviously, Russell was very aware of what his master meant by "fast."

So without hesitation, he quickly nodded, trotted around the car, came to the other side, intending to help the unlucky person sitting in the passenger seat.

However, he did not expect that when he opened the car door, the guest in front of him was not as he imagined, with limp limbs and a pale face. Instead, he had a smiling face and a radiant look.

"Hahahaha..."

As soon as the car door was opened, Aberforth stepped out while laughing, and then praised Charlie non-stop.

"This is much more exciting than I imagined!! I even forgot how long it had been since I was so happy... God, even when I was playing Quidditch at Hogwarts, it wasn't this fun!!"

"Charlie!"

He remembered the promise Charlie had made to him in the car before, and hurriedly urged.

"I can do without anything else, but it must be fast! You must find me a guy who can fly and is fast enough!"

"Don't worry."

Charlie stretched, supported his stiff neck, and then yawned.

"It won't take long to prepare it for you, but before that, we'd better find you a place to live first."

He habitually snapped his fingers with a "啪" sound, and casually ordered.

"Russell... take my friend and find him a room to live in. Anything will do, anyway, he's been living in a haunted house, so he probably won't care about so many other things."

However, just as he finished speaking and was about to walk back to the office to rest for a while, he found that the response that should have sounded did not come.

Charlie frowned slightly. Just as he turned his head to look back, he only saw Russell standing by the car door, looking up, his big eyes staring unblinkingly at the white-haired, linen-robed Aberforth.

After a long time, he finally stammered and said: "Headmaster... Headmaster Dumbledore, welcome. Do you remember me? I'm Russell, I met you a few times with the master."

"............"

The scene fell into awkwardness for a while. Charlie's eyes widened slightly, he looked at the excited Russell, and then looked at Aberforth, whose face turned dark as if he had been poked at some taboo. He opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say for a while...

Okay, this is a beautiful misunderstanding.
