Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs
Chapter 80 Death Place
"I have done everything in the agreement, now it's time for you to give me the reward."
Harry looked at Griphook in surprise.
He hadn't even thought clearly about whether to actually give the sword to the elf, let alone give it to him now.
But the expression on Griphook's face was full of impatience, and Harry even felt that he would betray him now for the sword.
Just then, Hermione walked up to Harry.
"There might be some danger in the vault. We need Gryffindor's sword!"
Griphook looked at Hermione and hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded.
Harry breathed a sigh of relief, and he couldn't wait to turn around and walk towards the door: "Open the door quickly!"
Griphook slowly followed him to the door, and then inserted the key into the keyhole.
The vault door began to function like a complex assembly designed only for show.
Even Hermione couldn't see clearly the complicated gear combination and transmission rod. The three of them stood there blankly, with continuous metal ticking in their ears.
Finally, the vault door opened.
Harry couldn't wait to take the lead and rushed in.
As soon as he entered the vault, he saw a dark shadow.
Harry raised his wand without thinking, but his movement was still a beat slower. The speed of the black shadow was incredibly fast.
At this moment, a barrier appeared in front of Harry, and the black shadow hit it with a dull sound.
Then Harry saw clearly what the shadow was: it was a large snake.
It has green scales and looks extremely dangerous.
But the prey just now was too violent, hitting Hermione's obstacle spell, and the snake was still unable to recover from the severe pain.
Harry was stunned for only a moment before he raised his wand and turned the snake into a stone statue.
Then he looked up at the vault in front of him.
There is nothing here.
Harry turned around in confusion, looking around every corner, but still couldn't find what he really wanted.
"Why is there nothing here?"
Ron shook his head: "There is still something, this snake."
Harry was stunned for a moment.
He knew what Ron was talking about.
If Voldemort left anything behind in the vault, it was this venomous snake.
It may be what the three Harrys are desperately looking for: Voldemort's Horcrux.
After only a moment's hesitation, Harry raised Gryffindor's sword, walked in front of the big snake, and slashed its head with the sword.
But there was no black mist rising, only blood slowly flowing out.
Harry looked surprised: "What?"
Ron and Hermione looked at each other, dumbfounded for a moment.
"but……"
But Voldemort went to such trouble to open a vault in Gringotts, if not to protect the Horcruxes, then why?
There was no answer to this question at all. Harry and the other three turned around in confusion before being woken up by Griphook.
"You probably don't need Gryffindor's sword now."
Harry shook his head.
But Griphook was obviously no longer prepared to wait.
"Either give me the sword, or starve to death in the vault!"
He raised the key in his hand, and the door of the vault began to slowly close.
Harry hesitated and rushed to the door: "Here you go!"
Griphook reached out.
But Harry didn't give him the sword: "Open the door first!"
Griphook shook his head gloomily: "Give me the sword first!"
Harry hesitated for a moment, but the door slowly closed in front of him, and the remaining light became narrower and narrower.
In the end, Harry compromised for the sake of Hermione and Ron.
He threw the sword out of the vault door.
"Open the door!"
But Harry was answered with a short sneer.
Then the door closed and darkness fell completely.
Harry was frozen in place for a moment.
Then a light lit up behind him: "There seems to be no air in here. We may be suffocated soon..."
Hermione's tone was full of fake calm. She looked around, trying to find a possibility of leaving, but this was Gringotts, the highest masterpiece of goblins.
"Maybe Dobby can come and save us?"
Ron was nonchalant and spoke softly.
Harry was stunned for a moment and quickly waved his wand: "Dobby is coming!"
With a bang, Dobby really appeared.
Harry and the three of them let out a cheer.
"More than!"
"Harry!"
Harry stopped Dobby's question and quickly looked down at him: "Can you take us out?"
Dobby nodded: "Of course, where is this?"
As he spoke, he stretched out his hand and snapped his fingers.
But the three Harrys were horrified to find that neither Dobby nor themselves were still where they were.
A trace of confusion flashed across Dobby's face, and then turned into guilt: "I'm sorry..."
"There must be something wrong!"
As he spoke, he snapped his fingers again.
Harry helplessly stopped Dobby from trying: "Dobby, this is the Gringotts vault..."
Dobby was stunned for a moment: "Even house elves can enter places they cannot leave... I once heard someone say..."
Harry sighed in disappointment: "I'm sorry, Dobby..."
He knew clearly in his heart that he was not far from death.
But for some reason, the clearest feeling in Harry's heart at this moment was not fear and disappointment, but guilt for involving Dobby in this.
There was dead silence in the vault, breathing could be heard clearly, and the three wizards and a house elf fell into silence together.
I don't know how long it took, but suddenly they heard a voice.
It was some very regular sound.
Then a soft sigh.
Then the first light pierced the darkness.
The three of them covered their eyes in confusion, and then they saw the door of the vault open.
Standing at the door is Griphook, with the key in his hand.
And behind Grihuan was Lu Ke.
"Fortunately, I caught up..."
In his hand was Gryffindor's sword.
Harry stood up with a surprised look on his face: "Lu Ke?"
"How did you know?"
Lu Ke smiled helplessly: "The house elf in the Hogwarts kitchen told me."
He shook his head: "There is no time, Voldemort is coming, Dobby, take them out of here."
Dobby nodded and the three of them rushed out of the vault with Harry.
Harry followed Dobby, knowing they couldn't Disapparate as long as they were inside the vault.
"Fu...how does the mysterious person know?"
Lu Ke shook his head: "It doesn't matter, you go to Shafiq Castle."
As soon as he finished speaking, Dobby disapparated away.
Lu Ke turned around, looked at Grihuan and smiled.
"I'm sorry I can't give you Gryffindor's sword, but I also want you to give me the key."
Griphook remained silent and handed the key to Lu Ke.
