Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs

Chapter 8 Harry's Travels

Summer vacation has just passed two weeks.

Harry sat in front of the window and fell asleep with his face against the glass.

He was waiting for Dumbledore.

Of course, it was already very late, so Harry tried hard to hold on, but still fell asleep.

At eleven o'clock, the alarm clock rang.

Harry woke up from his sleep. He quickly adjusted his glasses and looked outside through the window.

There, the street lights on the street dimmed one after another as if they were malfunctioning.

Harry jumped up and stuffed everything he could get into the box, but by this time it was already too late, a tall and thin figure had already walked out of the darkness and arrived at the door of the Dursley's house.

That's Dumbledore.

In fact, Harry had received a letter from Dumbledore a week ago.

Dumbledore was taking him to the Burrow, and there were things Harry needed help with on the way.

Although he didn't know what to do, Harry was filled with joy as long as he could leave the Dursleys' house.

The only problem was that Harry couldn't believe that he was leaving the Dursleys in just two weeks.

But Dumbledore finally showed up on time.

He didn't lie to Harry, which frightened Harry a little.

Then Harry heard a knock on the door.

Vernon Dursley complained as he walked towards the door.

It occurred to Harry that he had forgotten to tell the Dursleys that Dumbledore was coming: or in fact he had done so on purpose, even Harry could not tell.

Then Fenon opened the door.

He was very surprised when he saw Dumbledore.

Dumbledore nodded: "Hello."

With that said, he walked into the room minding his own business.

The Dursleys were very uncomfortable when they saw Dumbledore. They obviously didn't like Dumbledore.

But it was obvious that Dumbledore didn't care.

He turned to Harry and nodded, "Good, you're ready to get out of here."

"Have your things packed?"

Harry shook his head sheepishly.

He rushed into his room and stuffed everything into the box.

Dumbledore nodded to Harry who rushed out of his room, then turned to face the Dursleys.

"I have something to tell you..."

He looked at the three Dursleys in front of him and his face became serious.

"I let Harry stay here because the spell his mother bought with her life can protect him."

"I once wrote a letter asking you to take care of Harry the way a normal person would take care of a relative, but it seems like you haven't done so even once..."

Dumbledore gave the Dursleys a cold look: "But at least Harry didn't suffer the same torture as the boy among you."

Fenon said angrily: "What did you say? You said we abused Dudley?"

Dumbledore nodded: "Until Harry turns seventeen, he must stay here to be protected by that curse. Until that day comes, you let him stay here."

With that he put his hand on Harry's shoulder and led him out of the house.

"Remember what my letter said?"

Dumbledore smiled at Harry.

Harry felt a little uncomfortable.

Ever since he received the letter, Harry had been looking forward to this moment, but when he actually stood with Dumbledore, Harry suddenly discovered that he had never been alone with Dumbledore.

He didn't know Dumbledore.

"I need your help with something. You know that every summer I worry about teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for the next school year..."

Harry nodded.

Of course he knew that the curse in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was well known in Hogwarts. Some said it was a curse cast by Voldemort himself, but others said it was just an accident.

Dumbledore stopped at the intersection, then stretched out his left arm: "Grab my arm, Harry, you haven't learned the Apparition lesson yet."

Harry reached out and grabbed Dumbledore's left arm.

Then the world began to twist.

When the world settled down, Harry looked around and found that he was in a neighborhood or town, surrounded by several houses and a tavern, and a towering church bell could be seen in the distance.

"Where is this?"

Harry looked around blankly, wondering why Dumbledore had to ask him to come here.

Dumbledore smiled: "Badley Barberton Village is a perfect place to spend your days after retirement."

Harry was stunned for a moment: "But you need to find a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. The wizard after retirement may..."

Dumbledore nodded: "Not very suitable for teaching this class, yes."

"Actually, I have already found a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, but this also means that Hogwarts needs a new Potions professor, so..."

Harry suddenly understood something, but he couldn't help but shake his head: "Snape wants to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts? But he can only do it for one school year. Will he be in danger?"

Dumbledore smiled and shook his head: "Not all Defense Against the Dark Arts professors left Hogwarts because of injuries or something like that. You remember Moody and Lupin, they are all fine now. "

Harry fell silent.

He has very mixed feelings about Snape now, not just this summer vacation, but they haven't spoken since that memory of seeing Snape.

So many things happened in between.

Dumbledore didn't seem to know this. As he led Harry towards the village, he asked casually: "Has your scar hurt recently?"

Harry shook his head: "I can't feel Voldemort's thoughts anymore..."

Dumbledore was not surprised: "Lu Ke taught Voldemort a profound enough lesson. He now knows that you may also spy on his thoughts, and Voldemort has begun to use Occlumency on you."

Harry felt a flash of frustration.

He nodded: "This is best."

While the two were talking, Dumbledore stopped in front of a room and nodded: "We are here."

Just as Harry was about to raise his head and say something, he found that Dumbledore had raised his wand.

"Harry, hold on to your wand."

Harry took a look and saw that the house seemed to have been broken into.

Although there were no traces of anyone entering, the door to the house seemed to have been violently opened.

Dumbledore walked quietly to the door and opened it.

This was a very chaotic room. The first thing Harry noticed was almost a full circle of blood stains on the wall. It seemed that a very fierce battle had taken place. He felt that maybe there was a cold body hidden behind the sofa or table. corpse.

"Death Eaters have been here?"
