Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs
Chapter 95 The True Dark Lord
Dumbledore shook his head "I'm fine..."
Lu Ke looked at him and sighed, "It doesn't seem like that..."
Dumbledore smiled bitterly, "What we should worry about now is whether we are late."
Lu Ke nodded.
Nurmengard is a solitary tower towering over the wasteland. It is surrounded by a towering wall and a small room next to the door.
All the buildings were dark, and Lu Ke felt as if there was some special black stone mine nearby.
Dumbledore lowered his head and strode towards the door of the wall.
The small room next to the door was empty.
Lu Ke was a little surprised, "Grindelwald...he didn't have a guard?"
Dumbledore shook his head, "There should have been, but now there isn't..."
Lu Ke nodded, understanding.
Maybe someone thought he was old enough and could be left here to fend for himself, or maybe Grindelwald's remnants drove away the guards.
When the two passed through the doorway, Lu Ke looked up. There seemed to be a sentence engraved on the top of the door, in a language that Lu Ke didn't recognize.
"Then what does it say?"
Dumbledore sighed "For the greater good."
Lu Ke smiled, "How conceited."
Dumbledore turned around and glanced at Lu Ke, "Why do you say that?"
Lu Ke couldn't help laughing. "I would say this because I felt that the interests that everyone was striving for at that time were not great enough. If a person wants to deny the entire world, even if he is right, he is still conceited."
Dumbledore smiled, "So you are definitely different from him, and that's for the best."
Lu Ke smiled, and the two walked into the tower together.
All the way up the narrow and dark steps, it was pitch black wherever you went. There was no light in the entire tower, no windows, no lighting. It was like a dark hell.
Lu Ke shook his head, "Is it necessary to be so exaggerated?"
Dumbledore was silent for a moment, and then answered Lu Ke's question, "Because this tower was originally built by Grindelwald for his prisoners."
Lu Ke couldn't help but laugh, "Wizards are really...traditional."
Dumbledore said nothing more, and the two of them walked to the top of the tower in silence.
Here is a small room with a crack in the wall and a weak light falling from it.
There was an old figure in the light, sitting on a stone.
Dumbledore stood at the door of the room and was silent for a long time.
Lu Ke turned sideways and looked past Dumbledore, and saw the old man in ragged clothes.
He has eyes that seem to see through people's hearts.
"You came to see me with a Squib, Albus..."
Dumbledore shook his head "I..."
Grindelwald interrupted him and turned to look at Lu Ke, "What's your name?"
Lu Ke replied, "My name is Lu Ke."
Grindelwald nodded, "Master of the Philosopher's Stone, it seems that my men have indeed succeeded."
Lu Ke was silent.
He originally thought that Grindelwald would abide by the agreement and not interfere in external affairs, but now it seems that this is not the case.
But this is not something Lu Ke needs to worry about.
Dumbledore sighed, "This is why I brought Lu Ke here."
Grindelwald nodded "They will be here soon."
Dumbledore nodded silently, and then the darkness was enveloped in deathly silence.
Lu Ke stood quietly, looking at the desolate Grindelwald in front of him.
He was indeed a very handsome man, whose beauty was difficult to describe. Lu Ke could see that he would have been able to easily win anyone's kindness when he was young.
And it's unreserved.
In comparison, Dumbledore is a little worse.
The air was filled with an aura that made Lu Ke very embarrassed.
Then the footsteps of a person suddenly appeared, interrupting the silence of the three people.
Lu Ke smiled.
There is no doubt that they are the remnants of Grindelwald.
"Your guys are really professional."
Grindelwald looked at Lu Ke and was silent for a moment. "They are so outstanding, but you only give such an evaluation?"
Lu Ke smiled and said, "There are almost no wizards who specialize in war. I think this is a high compliment."
Then a wand quietly landed on the back of his head.
"Put down your wand..."
Lu Ke smiled and raised his hands, "I don't have a wand in my hand... just like you."
The moment he spoke, he turned around and broke the wand in the wizard's hand behind him.
The wizard looked shocked and angry, but before he could do anything, Grindelwald interrupted him.
"enough!"
That voice was not the voice of a ragged old man huddled in the shadows. He stood up. At that moment, Lu Ke was shocked to realize that he was standing in front of a very tall wizard.
And extremely powerful.
"You stole the Philosopher's Stone from Hogwarts. That's amazing."
Lu Ke took a step to the side and opened the door so that the wizard behind could see Grindelwald clearly standing in the light.
"Now, give him back the Philosopher's Stone."
Lu Ke smiled and stretched out his hand.
The wizard who lost his wand trembled in the darkness, not knowing whether it was because of anger or sadness, but he finally took out the magic stone and put it in Lu Ke's hand.
Blood-red light flashed in the darkness.
"Thanks."
Lu Ke turned around.
Dumbledore nodded in the darkness. "We are already people of a bygone era...Thank you, Gellert."
Grindelwald waved his hand casually, "You have created two Dark Lords. Now it's the third one's turn. Don't worry, it will be soon."
Dumbledore fell silent.
Lu Ke glanced at Grindelwald: "You actually have such high expectations for a squib?"
Grindelwald smiled for the first time. "Slytherin himself can't be sure whether the end of the path he chooses is darkness. Do you really think you can reach a bright ending by following him?"
Lu Ke turned around and glanced at Pallas on his shoulder. "Thank you for your support, but I don't need it. I am very confident in myself."
Grindelwald nodded, then sat back and waved his hands.
Dumbledore nodded, turned around and led Lu Ke down the stairs.
Walking out of the wall, Dumbledore let out a long sigh, "Forget what he said, he's just too boring."
Lu Ke shook his head, "Is Grindelwald a person who talks out of boredom?"
Dumbledore stopped and turned to look at Lu Ke. "If it were someone else, I probably wouldn't have to explain it. If it were you, maybe I could understand."
"You know how wary I am of Grindelwald, and how powerful he is, so I take this sentence seriously, and I believe I will take it seriously too."
Lu Ke was stunned for a moment, "That's why he said that..."
