Game of Thrones: Lord of Winter

Chapter 22: Mountain Clan Tribe

Three people died. They attacked day and night and lost three horses on the road. They originally wanted to stop and rest for a while.

They exchanged the deaths of three people for fourteen high-mountain tribesmen. Each of these high-mountain tribesmen were as skinny as firewood, and their weapons and equipment were only sticks, wooden hammers, and even sickles.

Catelyn scanned the battlefield in a daze, looking at the face that was as young as Robb. His clothes were stained with blood, as if they were engraved with bright red flowers. He called this "Lannister lackey" The child, wielding two giant swords like a gust of wind and rain, killed five mountain tribesmen alone.

He was walking through the battlefield picking something, and he picked up the helmet and tried it on his head. It seemed that it was too big and he threw it to the dwarf. He took out another set of armor and put it on himself, and picked up a bow and some arrows.

"Mrs. Stark, I beg you to leave immediately. The enemy will come again." A knight suggested.

Caitlin looked at the corpses. She was an honorable warrior. They should be given a dignified tomb instead of leaving their corpses in the wilderness to be eaten by crows and wild beasts.

As soon as her thoughts came out, she heard the mercenary named Bronn say, "You can move it however you want, but Chigen and I don't do it."

The old knight Rodrik was also trying to persuade him. He was seriously injured and looked a little weak.

Cole and the others were burying Jack, and the unlucky boy rushed the hardest and ended up standing out.

They could only continue on their way. Catelyn walked in the center of the team. Tyrion rode up to her and said something to her. Cole took back his weapon, and Tyrion also brought a dagger and ax. They didn't look like prisoners at the moment.

Along the way, Cole noticed that Mrs. Stark had been looking at him.

That night, Cole and a knight kept vigil. At this time, Mrs. Stark, who thought she had fallen asleep, suddenly stood up and walked to his side. Tyrion opened his eyes slightly in the night, but still maintained his original sleeping position. No one could really sleep at the moment.

Cole glanced at her and continued to wipe the sword.

"You look as old as my Robb. He is my eldest son." Catelyn looked at his face and said, her tone like a kind elder.

"I saw him at Winterfell, Lady Stark."

Caitlin thought of her children, and a tenderness flashed in her eyes. Cole had also seen such a look in the eyes of the farm girl named Laurie.

"Bran is the most active of all the children. I still can't forget the way he looked when he was lying on the bed, so helpless and thin. He was only seven years old. He could have ridden a horse and danced a sword like a horse." Caitlin His face was covered with sadness.

"He has woken up, my lady. Jon was happy about it for a long time at the Wall."

When Jon was mentioned, Catelyn frowned. She didn't really want to recall the bastard. "Are you the night watchman?"

Cole shook his head, "No, the Night Watch will not interfere in the affairs of the Seven Kingdoms."

"Are you a knight then? Boy."

Cole was stunned. He shouldn't be considered a knight, but no knight touched his shoulder with a sword and told him the knight's oath.

"Not really." Cole replied after thinking for a while.

"My husband is the Duke of the North, the king's prime minister, and a good friend of the king. He always appreciates young and promising young people. If you are willing, I can let him canonize you as a knight."

Only then did Cole realize that Mrs. Stark was actually trying to win over him.

"Madam, although I am not a knight, I also know what integrity is. I was hired by Lannister and will not betray you in battle. Jon is my friend, and you are her mistress. I do not want to fight with you. I love you, but please don’t embarrass me.

In fact, I feel there must be some misunderstanding between you and Tyrion, Madam."

Cole suddenly started, and then shouted: "Enemy attack!!!"

He pushed Caitlin away, drew his sword and faced the wooden ax that was attacking her. He cut the ax blade open in the cold winter night, and half of the wood hit Caitlin's body.

Cole raised his arm and slashed, and the man fell to the ground with a howl.

"Mrs. Stark, protect yourself." After saying this, Corti's sword struck into the crowd.

A man galloped forward on horseback, the hammer in his hand facing Cole's head.

He raised the hammer, only to feel a moment of failure, as if he had hit someone, but he was not sure.

There was a sudden jerk, and he seemed to be sucked by a whirlpool. He fell off the horse, and then he was surprised to realize that it was the plain man with the sword who pulled him down.

He felt a coldness in his throat, and blood spurted out instantly. In his last moments, he could only feel the heaven and earth spinning.

After Cole threw him away, he seized his horse, stabilized the frightened horse, and rode away to kill.

Two mountaineer cavalry came around from the front, stabbing the wooden spears in their hands like lances. Cole could control himself, but he could not control the horses flexibly.

A spear pierced the horse's neck, and with a scream, the skinny horse fell down. Cole also fell down. His equestrian skills were really beyond praise.

Another cavalryman stabbed at him in coordination. He rolled over to avoid it, twisted around and got up, just in time to meet the head of the charging horse.

Without the sword in his hand, Cole stretched out his arms to touch the horse's head, only to hear a long roar and the horse flipped over.

Cole bowed and retreated a few meters, his boots were worn away by stones, and his arm was bent into an abnormal arc. He stretched out his arm in a muffled voice, only to hear the bones click. His face was twisted, and it was really painful.

The two arms were crossed and pulled, and there was another click. The pain was finally relieved a lot.

He hurried up and walked up to the mountain man who was trapped under the horse. His eyes were full of fear and his mouth was begging for mercy.

Cole picked up his sword and killed him.

Another mountain man on horseback was swaying on his horse, and he was afraid.

Cole took a step forward, and he reined in his horse and took two steps back. Cole suddenly sprinted, and he hurriedly rode away far away.

The battle came to an end, and the cavalry disappeared. Afterwards, Cole killed two more mountain men. When they could relax, the camp became chaos again.

Bodies were everywhere, and there were wailing sounds. When Cole passed by a mountain man lying on the ground, he gave him a sword blow.

There were a few fewer people standing, and Cole noticed blood dripping from the shoulder blade of Tyrion's younger brother Maurice.

"Bronn, save me." The mercenary named Chigen was also seriously injured and asked for help from his comrade.

Bronn backhanded him with a sword, which shocked Tyrion and Cole's pupils.

As if he sensed that someone was looking at him, the mercenary shrugged and gave up, "He won't survive anyway, I'm helping him."

Morris looked at his master Tyrion with some horror. He was also seriously injured.

Just listen to Tyrion say, "I will not abandon you, on the honor of the Lannister family."
