Meng Lang's original plan was to use special effects to create a virtual Black star, and then combine it with L77 light to create a picture of the planet exploding.

But this is so time consuming!

In order to render these frames of explosions, Leo's schedule had to be postponed by 1-2 months. Meng Lang couldn't afford it, so he had to find another way.

His choice is the model!

The prop master used yellow clay to shape a mud ball with bumps on the surface. Then use various colors of paint to complete the details to perfection.

The Black Star finally presented was slightly farther away and the lights were dimmed, so it was no different from a real planet in the universe.

In order to achieve the best effect, 50% of the area inside the mud ball is buried with broken diamonds. When it explodes, the diamonds burst out and look as beautiful as a painting under the light.

Unfortunately, it was difficult to capture the moment of the explosion. Even with ultra-high-speed cameras, it is difficult to capture perfect shots.

In order to film this scene well, Meng Lang took hundreds of people from the entire crew to play with mud, knead and draw balls. It took three days to capture the beautiful moment of the planet exploding.

Then, Leo finished it!

The progress of post-production is much faster than imagined. The editing was so exhausting and the special effects overslept. This is the true portrayal of Leo's later period.

Compared to the previous games, Taro and Light King Ace, Leo not only has fewer special effects, but also has lower quality.

The early and middle stages are basically focused on fighting, with little room for special effects. The lighting in the middle and later stages is also very simple, and even if you use optical painting, the construction period is not half as long as Taylor's.
