Farmer’s Blessed Girl

Chapter 2010 On Buddha

The monk really wanted to talk to them about Zen. He led them around the guest house to his own residence at the back, sat down under a bodhi tree, and asked the three to sit down.

Four stone benches, just one for each person.

After sitting down, the monk introduced himself, "Old Na has deep wisdom."

The three were surprised, "You are Master Zhishen."

The most famous person in the Huguo Temple is the master of Zhiren, and the master of Zhiren has a younger brother named Zhishen, and I heard that he is also an eminent monk.

The three of them stood up and saluted again. Zhishen didn't expect them to salute so much, with even more smiles on their faces. After returning the salute, he asked them to sit down.

A monk brought up Zen tea and poured them tea, then bowed slightly and stepped back.

Master Zhishen turned the Buddha beads in his hands and saw that the three of them were drinking tea with their heads bowed. They were not in a hurry to find out the root cause.

Bai Shan thought for a while and then said: "I have read few Buddhist scriptures, but only copied the "Sutra of Infinite Life", "Sutra of Vajra Prajna Paramita" and "Sutra of Earth Store Bodhisattva's Vow".

As soon as Zhishen heard it, he knew that this Buddhist scripture was probably copied for the female family members of the family, because these three scriptures are the most commonly used scriptures for going up, celebrating birthdays and praying for blessings. On average, seven of the ten books are dedicated to these three books. scriptures.

Zhishen smiled and asked, "Why don't you read the Shurangama Sutra? This is the Sutra of Kaizhi,

This sutra is exquisite and brilliant. Only the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law and the Huayan Sutra can be mentioned as one. The future merits and life are very beneficial. "

The three of them sighed in unison, with a look of sadness on their faces, "Master, instead of letting us read it, why don't you tell us the subtle sentences and Buddhist principles in it. If we read it, we will be afraid in the short term. Not anymore."

Master Zhishen asked, "Why?"

"Because I'm busy!"

Man Baodao: "I want to study medical books, see a doctor in the imperial hospital, go to the imperial medical office for a class, and also take my husband's class, and read a lot of books. Now it is really difficult to find time to meditate and worship the Buddha."

Bai Shan also nodded, "That's right, and I think it's too early to worship Buddha at our age. Just meditate, and we can do it by reading other books."

Zhishen smiled slightly, "Buddha's meaning is profound, it's more than a quiet mind. I think the three donors are very eager to learn, how about I give you these three Buddhist scriptures?"

Without waiting for them to refuse, the monk Zhishen asked people to fetch them three sutras. What surprised them was that these three Buddhist sutras were not only old versions, but also had dense annotations in small characters.

Even if they don't believe in Buddhism, they know how valuable such a Buddhist scripture is, and they will refuse after looking at each other.

However, Master Zhishen was very persistent, and the smile he always carried was also very solemn. He said: "The poor monk just wants the donors to understand the meaning of Buddhism. The donors will know that after understanding, I Buddha can solve people's misfortunes and calamities. It's not a delusional cult."

When the three heard this, they knew the reason for this, but they were not at all embarrassed, and Man Bao asked frankly: "Master Zhishen is now a famous monk who has attained the Tao, and your predicament is catastrophic. Got it?"

Master Zhishen was stunned for a moment, then shook his head, "Buddhism is so mysterious that a poor monk can only learn one or two of the ten. How can we get rid of the trouble?"

Man Bao nodded, "I guess so." Otherwise, why bother to let them read the scriptures? Based on this alone, he is not only inferior to the Guanzhu of Xuandu Guan, but even Shouqing Guanzhu.

Master Zhishen was blocked on the spot by her words. To be honest, he has been famous for a long time, and he has been in contact with people and wealth, but no matter what kind, no one has ever said to him, "Hey, monk, I see you. The Buddhadharma is not deep enough to even solve your own predicament, right?"

That's right, although Zhou Man's words only have four words, that's what they mean.

Bai Shan explained with a smile: "Master, my husband said that the Tao of the world is inexhaustible, the universe is infinite, and no one in the world can know it."

Since there is no way to find out, naturally there is no so-called solution to the troubles in the world. From the book that the little father-in-law brought from the underworld, they can't even ask questions, let alone explain the troubles, so there is no way to get the truth. High monk, master of Taoism?

This is not only the view of Mr. Zhuang, but also the view of the three.

It's just that this idea will offend many people, especially those from the Buddhist and Taoist schools, so the four teachers and apprentices just talk and listen to each other in their own backyard.

But since the words have come to this point, they don't mind expressing their views.

Bai Shandao said: "There is too much knowledge in the world, already existing and unfinished, and people's lifespan, wisdom, and energy are limited, so people should focus on it, and the knowledge of the world cannot be learned and studied. "

Zhishen understood what he meant. "The three donors are neither interested in, nor understand the principles of Buddhism. How can they easily assert that Buddhism is misleading?"

Bai Shan and Man Bao couldn't help, and even Bai Erlang heard his complaints, and he couldn't help but say: "We haven't read Buddhist scriptures deeply, but it's not that we don't know Buddhism. Force the world to agree."

Bai Shan glanced at Bai Erlang with disapproval, and before he could speak, Zhishen said: "Master Zhou is talking about Buddha in the hall, let His Majesty despise Buddha, and His Majesty is leading the world, what is this not coercion?"

"It's the Buddha Way!" Man Bao emphasized: "I'm not talking about Buddha, but Buddha and Dao!"

Monk Zhishen:  …

"There have always been hidden dangers in the emperor's belief in Buddhism and Taoism. At light, he will mislead the country, and at worst, the country will be destroyed. I am an official of the court. I am a court official. I also just said that His Majesty is the leader of the world. Since he is the leader of the world, after Buddhism and Taoism, there are hundreds of schools such as Confucianism, law, military and ink, so he should not have too much bias. Whoever is beneficial to ruling the people of the world will be biased. Which one."

Man Bao looked at Zhishen who was sitting across from him and said seriously: "And among them, Buddhism is the least likely to be beneficial to ruling the people."

Zhishen didn't expect her to talk about politics directly. Seeing her so determined, he asked with a smile, "Why is this? The Dharma is so mysterious. If all people learn the Dharma and do good deeds, there will be fewer disasters in the world."

Bai Shan asked quietly, "Aren't the monks in Huguo Temple free of resentment, separation of love, flaming five yin, and inability to seek?"

Zhishen froze for a moment and then said, "Yes, even poor monks cannot escape these four sufferings."

"The monks who recite the scriptures in the temple morning and evening can't get rid of the four sufferings, let alone the people." Bai Shan said: "With these four sufferings, they can't get rid of birth, old age, sickness and death, so there are still a lot of jealousy and disputes. The calamities in the world will not be reduced by this.”
