Chapter 18 Wedding
Chapter 461 Wedding
This was the first time Harry saw Ginny after a day.
Mr. Weasley had changed into a conspicuous outfit, and his hair was no longer as windblown as before, but he didn't notice it at all.
At this moment, he only had Ginny in his eyes.
Ginny was wearing a simple golden dress, which seemed to shine with golden light in contrast to the white tent.
Her fiery red hair was tied on top of her head with a silver headdress inlaid with yellow gemstones, and her charming jawline was clearly visible to Harry and everyone else.
In Harry's eyes, everything around him seemed to disappear.
The same was true for Ron beside him.
Only Ginny, accompanied by the fragrance of unknown flowers and the coolness brought by the petals themselves, appeared in front of Harry at the last second of the music.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Sirius' voice brought Harry back to reality, and the friendly laughter around him came into his ears. He also noticed that in addition to Ginny, Mr. Weasley also looked down at him.
"Today we gather here to celebrate the coming together of two loyal souls. In Merlin." Sirius spoke eloquently on the stage.
Ginny turned her head and smiled, winked at Harry, and quickly faced forward.
Harry's thoughts unconsciously drifted away from the tent and returned to the leisure time when he and Ginny were alone in the empty classroom of the castle.
That seemed to be a long, long time ago.
He always felt that those leisure time were too beautiful to be real, because Ron always tried to stay by his side.
So that those beautiful times were so short and rare.
Sirius' words on the stage were still talking about him and Ginny.
But Harry couldn't help but be aroused by those memories.
Harry, who had just merged with that self some time ago and faced his dark side, only thought of one thing at this moment, pulling out his wand and giving Ron, who was just beside him, one... No, ten evil curses!
"Harry James Potter, are you willing to spend your life with Ginevra Molly Weasley (Ginny's full name)..." Sirius' words, and the eyes that were all focused on him at that moment, reminded Harry where he was and what he needed to do.
"I do!" Harry held Ginny's hand.
There were some crying and trumpet-like sounds around.
Even without turning his head, Harry knew that only Hagrid could make such a loud sound.
That should be him taking out his handkerchief as big as a tablecloth. He is always so emotional.
"... I declare your engagement over, and be happy and joyful in the future." Sirius pulled out his wand and waved it high above their heads.
The white tent top turned into a dark curtain, and dots of starlight fell from the "starry sky". A large piece of silver stars fell on them, spinning around their bodies that were tightly hugged at the moment.
Then a sound like fireworks exploding appeared above their heads, and a cake decorated like stars floated above their heads.
Mr. Weasley walked up to the stage and drew his wand as well.
He and Sirius drew their wands together, and the ten-layer cake was cut into small pieces, which turned into meteors and flew to the audience below the stage, landing on the plate-like vine leaves that suddenly appeared on the ground in front of them.
Fred and George led the applause, and the golden balloons above their heads exploded, and the birds of paradise and small golden bells flew out of them and floated in the air.
The gold flakes that fell fell on the vines in front of everyone and turned into knives and forks.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Sirius and Mr. Weasley shouted, "Please eat!"
So, accompanied by the sound of birds and bells, everyone began to eat.
Harry suddenly felt a little happy.
But it was not because of the engagement.
It was because he suddenly found that Ron was standing aside like a doorman, watching others feasting.
Harry knew that in the engagement ceremony in Gloucestershire, England, introduced by Kreacher, only guests could eat the cake.
Guests eating the cake represented their blessings for the ceremony.
The bride and groom, the best man and bridesmaid, and the person who cut the cake (usually two, each from the relatives of the bride and groom, one of whom also served as the host) could not eat it.
In such a thought, Harry took Ginny's hand and stared blankly at the stage.
In a normal wedding, the second half would have been over by now.
But the engagement ceremony in Gloucestershire, England, also had a scene of guests eating cake.
Only when everyone had finished eating would it officially end and enter the second half of the free activities.
So Harry began to pay attention to the eating sounds after getting up.
In Harry's peripheral vision, Hagrid finished eating first.
This cake was too small for him.
Although he tried his best to taste it slowly, he still swallowed it in a few bites.
After he finished eating, the vines and the knife and fork in his hand seemed to sense something.
The vines turned into a breeze, and the knives and forks turned into golden powder again.
.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Sirius and Mr. Weasley shouted, "Please stand up!"
Everyone stood up.
Perhaps because they had just eaten, everyone stood up very neatly.
Sirius and Mr. Weasley waved their wands again.
All the seats rose lightly and gracefully into the air, and the canvas of the big tent disappeared.
The manor, the fountain, and the crystal-clear house behind them appeared in front of everyone.
Then, a pool of molten gold spread out from the original center of the tent, forming a golden dance floor.
The chairs floating in the air automatically gathered around the small table covered with a white tablecloth, and floated back to the ground around the dance floor lightly and gracefully.
The band wearing golden tops walked out of the house and walked to the stage in unison.
"Amazing." Ron exclaimed.
Waiters appeared from all directions, some holding silver trays with pumpkin juice, butter beer and fire whiskey on them; some holding a pile of shaky pies and sandwiches. Ron couldn't wait to run to the table closest to him, which was already full of food.
Harry looked at Ron with a little envy, because he and Ginny were immediately surrounded by the crowd and were given one blessing after another.
What made Harry most uncomfortable was that he didn't know most of these people.
Most of them had fiery red hair and freckles on their faces.
If Ginny hadn't been by his side, he wouldn't have been able to stand it.
Dumbledore, who was familiar to him, had already found a small table to gather around.
Fred and George took out the recliner-shaped flying machine they used on the Quidditch field and flew in the air, selling mist bottles and other gadgets they invented to their relatives.
Hagrid found his giant chair that was five times bigger than the others, and sat at the table with Draco, Charlie, and Bill, discussing something.
