Everyday Players at Hogwarts
Chapter 191 Simple Line of Defense
Time, 5:15.
Harry and the other two were standing in another room.
There were colorful keys, circling on the ceiling like birds.
Damn, with so many keys, it was a problem to dodge their attacks. Harry had only recently mastered the protective spell of Armor.
This was a spell that senior students and even some Ministry employees did not know. Was his level really good enough?
Harry could not help but think sadly.
Draco on the side also had a bitter face. The evil spells he knew were at most used to tease others. Was it really okay to use them on keys?
"Alaho!" Ron's chanting interrupted Harry and Draco's contemplation.
"Ron, how did you get there!" Draco said what Harry wanted to say in advance, pointing to Ron who had already walked to the other side of the room, next to the heavy wooden door.
"Just walked over there." Ron looked at Draco with a puzzled look, wondering why he asked such a simple question.
Then, Harry and Draco followed carefully.
The two of them covered their faces with their arms, as if they thought sharp mouths and claws would tear them apart at any time, but in the end, nothing happened.
Fortunately, Ron didn't notice this. He pulled and pushed there, but the wooden door didn't move at all.
"It seems that we need a key, but how do we get up?" Harry frowned, and Ron next to him shook his shoulders in a sly way.
"What should we do? Ron, stop it - where did this come from!" Harry was stunned, looking at the flying broom handed to him by Ron.
"It's in the corner, there are three, one for each of us." Ron said proudly.
Harry looked at Draco again. By now, he had doubted whether there was really Voldemort or Quirrell.
Could all this be a test from Dumbledore? Maybe the last level would be Dumbledore himself?
Harry began to give up on himself, "I can do it. I saw a silver key with its wings drooping. I'll try it - armor! - Oh! - That's it?"
Harry looked at the silver key struggling in his hand, with a look of doubt on his face. Was his armor useless?
Ron below had already applauded, only Draco had a complicated expression.
"Maybe when we open the door, the key will attack us?" Draco comforted.
"Malfoy, you are still jealous of Harry at this time." Ron helped Harry get off the flying broom and walked to the wooden door.
Draco had to suppress his emotions and understand - understand Ron, he was just thick-skinned.
And Harry took a deep breath. The simplicity in front was probably just to let them relax their vigilance.
Harry carefully inserted the key into the keyhole and twisted it hard - the door opened.
Then with a click, the door lock just popped open, and the key flew away again.
However, to Harry and Draco's disappointment, it just flew away, and did not call friends to find a group of keys to attack Harry and them.
"Are you ready?" Harry held the door handle with his hand, looking at Ron and Draco with a smile on his face.
"Harry, it's the third level, be happy." Ron comforted.
Harry did not answer, and when he saw Draco nodded, he pushed the door open.
The room was dark and nothing could be seen.
But Harry was not afraid of anything. The flying broom just now had already foreshadowed the identity of the professor who arranged this line of defense - Professor McGonagall, who loved Quidditch the most.
Even the most strict Professor McGonagall's defense line was like this, what else was there to be afraid of, Harry thought.
Sure enough, as soon as he stepped into the door, the lights came on.
A large wizard chess set?
I guess I just need to walk over quickly, it can also attack - oops!
Harry squatted down suddenly, and the white pawn almost hit his head.
"Great!" Harry and Draco said in unison.
"Harry, are you and Malfoy both crazy?" Ron looked worried. In his opinion, his two friends had been crushed by the pressure.
Now, he was the only one who could play. This was the wizard chess he was best at. "It's obvious that we have to play chess to get to the other end of the room."
Ron's chess skills were much stronger than in the original world line.
Whenever Harry was annoyed with Ron and wanted to change the subject, he would mention Ron's excellent chess skills, which made Ron consciously hone his chess skills.
Logically speaking, he should not have to sacrifice himself like in the original world line and be hit in the head by the White Queen.
However, he unfortunately said something - the silver-eyed wizard was Voldemort.
"How could I be that ugly ghost of Voldemort!" Ryan, who took over the faceless chess piece of the white side, thought so.
In this way, Ron sacrificed himself again and was hit in the head by the stone arm of the White Queen. Ron seemed to be knocked unconscious.
Harry, trembling all over, moved according to Ron's instructions before his sacrifice. The White King took off the crown on his head and threw it at Harry's feet.
They won.
The white chess pieces bowed and stepped back, making way for them to walk towards the door smoothly.
Harry and Draco didn't dare to look back, they were afraid that if they looked back, they would have to play chess again, they couldn't let Ron's sacrifice go to waste!
They looked at Ron worriedly for the last time, then rushed through the door and walked along the next corridor.
"I clearly used armor to protect myself! How could Ron faint!" Harry said tremblingly in the corridor.
Ryan, who was hiding aside, nodded.

Indeed, Ron would have been fine, because unlike the original world line, Harry used armor to protect himself.
But this way, it's no longer fun, so Ryan slightly increases his strength to the point where he just knocks out Ron.
It can't be too heavy, after all, Ron can be considered Ryan's friend.
"With your protection spell, Ron will be fine." Draco called out Ron's name, but also to convince himself.
"Yeah, it's okay." Harry nodded.
For the first time, he began to feel regretful. If he hadn't found these levels too easy, maybe he wouldn't be like this.
Maybe the level can feel their attitude. It will be easy if you stay prepared, but it will be difficult if you don't like it.
Although this was just Harry's illusion, he still couldn't help himself.
So much so that when he reached the new level, where there was a smelly monster and a fainting giant with a big bump on his head, Harry still didn't react.
Draco was the same, they were breathing freely, how could this stench hinder them who had been taking the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for a semester, and how could it affect their worries about Ron!
Soon, they came to the next room.
They had to be quick, someone was already one step ahead of them.
There was nothing scary in the new room, just a table with seven bottles of different shapes arranged on it.
"This should be the defense line set up by Professor Snape." Harry forced a smile. He was very good at potions.
As soon as the two of them crossed the threshold, a flame rose up behind them and sealed the doorway.
The flame was unusual in that it was purple.
At the same time, black flames burst out from the door leading to the front.
They're stuck in the middle.
