Chapter 587: Leaving After Accomplishing the Task (Part 2)

After the ground stopped shaking, Wang Sheng released his ears and said to the still-shocked Lingxu Old Daoist, "Alright, now we go back and kill!"

The old Daoist was practically dragged by Wang Sheng onto the back of Big Snow. By the time Big Snow flapped its wings a few times and returned to the mountain where the Dai King's palace was located, they couldn't find a single complete building within the palace.

The previously towering council hall had long disappeared, leaving behind only a pit several dozen feet deep. The smell of gunpowder filled their nostrils. Within a radius of two miles, not a single building stood intact; everything had been reduced to rubble.

Having prepared in advance, both of them wore goggles and masks. Even with this preparation, the old Daoist was taken aback by the scene. The power was so great, no wonder Wang Sheng had Big Snow fly twenty miles away. If they had stayed here or flown in the sky, who knows what terrifying consequences would have occurred.

"Let's do it!" Wang Sheng called out to the old Daoist, preparing to jump off Big Snow's back.

"Don't kill women and children!" The old Daoist hurriedly reminded Wang Sheng, then jumped off Big Snow's back before Wang Sheng could.

Wang Sheng was a bit slower, landing directly on the plaza in front of the main hall.

The plaza was large, with many people. The guards who had been trying to protect the Dai family head and the Grand Elder had mostly gathered in this direction. Of course, they were also the closest to the ten-ton explosive package's blast, aside from the servants and guards in the council hall.

As long as they were within the palace grounds, Wang Sheng and the old Daoist wouldn't hold back on anyone except for the women and children the old Daoist had mentioned. They didn't even spare some of the female guard experts, as they had combat ability and didn't fall into the category of women and children.

The most elite group of experts in the palace had just been concentrated on the plaza and visited by ten tons of explosives. Now, the strongest ones left were only at the Legendary realm.

Occasionally, there might be a few strong ones, perhaps even at the peak of the Legendary realm, but they had already been filtered once by Lingxu Old Daoist. The old Daoist killed according to the level of cultivation, starting with the higher ones and then killing the lower ones.

After that, the strongest opponent Wang Sheng encountered who could fight was only a late-stage Legendary expert, whom Wang Sheng discovered in advance in the darkness and finished off with an arrow. In this situation, Wang Sheng and the old Daoist were only two people and had no intention of fighting the Dai family's experts head-on.

As for the old Daoist, he was there to establish the prestige of the Old Lord's Temple and the Daoist sect, and he had no intention of holding back at all.

The two of them only stayed on the plaza for two minutes before Big Snow flew over from who knows where. Before Big Snow landed, Wang Sheng and the old Daoist both jumped onto Big Snow's back.

The Dai Kingdom's capital palace had been completely reduced to ruins. Countless people in the capital were awakened and were rushing towards the palace, intending to put out the fire and rescue people. No one noticed that in the dark sky above, there were two people and an eagle, covered in blood, flying towards who knows where.
