For them, by selling military equipment in exchange for sufficient funds, the country's investment in the military can be greatly reduced, and more funds can be used to reform the country and develop the economy.

Therefore, the Soviet Union has long begun to promote the Su-27 fighter to various countries. Unfortunately, due to the poor performance of the Su-27 on the battlefield in Afghanistan, potential countries are not interested in the Su-27 at all, especially China, which the Soviets think is the largest buyer.
