In fact, Dongfeng-3 is not suitable as a launch vehicle. It has a diameter of only 2.5 meters. When another stage is added to it, the body will be too long, prone to various resonances, and the carrying capacity is also limited. If another stage is added to it, the payload is only 300 kilograms, while the Long March 2 body is 3.35 meters, with a carrying capacity of 1,800 kilograms in low-Earth orbit. The subsequent models that continue to be developed will even exceed six tons and can hit spacecraft.
