If you think this is nonsense from random people, you are wrong. In order to make it clearer for everyone, Sanren will first introduce to you the five major schools in reality.

1. Accumulating good deeds.

The monks of the Jishan sect pay attention to: spreading good deeds and benevolent, accumulating merit and virtue. With the power of boundless merit and virtue, we can achieve mutual understanding between heaven and man, and cultivate the path of merit and deity. Although they are said to be immortals, they are actually just practicing semi-divine ways. After the monks of the Jishan sect have perfected their merits, they will use their merits to achieve the status of god while avoiding the priesthood. He has gained the status of a god, but has no official duties. He is as carefree as an immortal.

The Accumulating Good Sect is based on accumulating merits, giving benefits to others, treating others at the expense of oneself, sacrificing oneself for others, sympathizing with others' evil, rejoicing in others' good deeds, helping others in need, and relieving others' dangers, as the first task of cultivating the Tao.

Monks of the Jishan sect should practice the "Tai Shang Ying Pian", "Gong Guo Ge", "Yin Zhi Wen" and other good books. They should know: "If you want to become a heavenly immortal, you must do three thousand good deeds; if you want to become an earthly immortal, you must do three hundred good deeds." ”

2. Classic school.

Taoism characterized by belief in a certain classic is collectively called classic Taoism. Classical monks study and verify the classics and worship the manifestations of human and divine beings. Generally speaking, most of the classical monks practice Shinto. According to their own sect's divine system, they are inspired by heaven's heart and practice throughout their lives. They just want to leave their names in the writings of the gods and gain the incense of Shinto.

Most of the classic sects also belong to the Fulu sect. The Classical School and the Fulu School are the schools with the strongest religious color in Taoism.

3. Talisman sect.

The monks of the Fulu Sect are good at drawing talismans to drive away ghosts and using talisman water to cure diseases. They are also best at fasting and ritual rituals. Up, it can reach the heavens to achieve destiny, and send divine soldiers; down, it can reach the Nine Netherworlds, and command ghosts; level, it can communicate with life, gods and humans are the same, and immortality can be expected. The Fu Lu Sect is undoubtedly the most powerful sect in combat.

From the earliest "Five Pecks of Rice" to the now famous Maoshan Sect, and the Shenxiao Sect, which is famous for its thunder method, they all belong to the Fulu Sect. In the eyes of the world, the Fu Lu Sect almost represents Taoism.

4. Zhanyu Pai.

A Taoist sect that mainly teaches the practice of fortune-telling. The monks of the Zhanxuan sect take elixirs internally and cultivate merit externally. They are best at borrowing luck. Once they get the correspondence between gods and men and see the loopholes in the way of heaven, they will cleverly establish the Taoist fruit and become immortals. Therefore, the monks of the Zhanxuan sect are closest to the secular people.

Most of the monks of the Divination Sect are intelligent people, and they are best at fortune-telling, Qimen Dunjia, and layout and formation.

The talisman is good at fighting and fortune-telling. The practice of the Zhanxuan Sect consumes a lot of energy, and non-intelligent people will not enter the wall. It is precisely because of this that there are very few real successors of the Zhanxuan Sect. Most monks of the Fulu Sect also practice this way, but they do not study it deeply, but most schools do not Will try the way of fortune-telling.

5. Danding Sect.

The Danding Sect is a sect that almost transformed Taoism from a religion into a spiritual practice. It can be said that the decline of Taoism is largely due to the Danding Sect.

The Alchemy Sect teaches dual cultivation of life and life, using oneself as the furnace, essence as lead, and spiritual consciousness as mercury to form the golden elixir avenue.

The monks of the Danding Sect do not practice the way of fortune-telling or the art of talismans, but only practice the power of life. What is pursued is immortality and the true immortal way.

The Danding Sect pays attention to escaping from the world and practicing self-sufficiency. It does not do evil to others, and will never do good to others. It only seeks to transcend itself and does not care about the sentient beings in the world. Although the monks of the Alchemy Sect only cultivate golden elixirs and do not practice talismans, it does not mean that they are weak. On the contrary, they can be said to be the monks closest to the way of heaven among the five major schools!

There are naturally differences between reality and novels. Rather than saying that there are five major schools, it is better to say that there are five schools. The world is narrowed and it will be difficult to join such schools as Wu Gu Dao and Zhen Dao. Therefore, it was adapted into a novel.

After reading the description, you must have noticed that the five major schools are not distinct. As San Ren said in the book, the five major schools have some intersections and learn from each other's strengths, but the core remains unchanged.

The Alchemy Sect is divided into the inner alchemy way and the outer alchemy way. The fundamental difference between the two is whether the golden elixir is refined internally or externally. In layman's terms, it means seeking internally or externally. The cultivation realms of inner alchemy and outer alchemy are the same. Realm division (taking Yiqi Sect as an example, each sect will be different due to the difference in the fundamental method): Qi refining (qi refining, gathering qi, receiving qi, condensing qi, changing qi, transforming qi, quenching qi, nourishing qi, nurturing qi ), Foundation Building, Golden Pill, Nascent Soul, Dongtian, if Dongtian understands a trace of the original way, he will be a half-immortal. Zhenzhen Sect: Channeling (refining Qi + building foundation, can calculate changes in spiritual energy), Tongxuan (Jindan, can predict the growth and decline of Taoist rhyme), Tongyou (Nascent Soul, can peek into the underworld, and attract the dead), Tongming (cave heaven) , can calculate the Qi number of a side's boundary).

Classical school: Generally, it depends on which level of gods it can summon.

Finally, there are the Cunsi sect added by Sanren themselves: Yun Ling (Qi refining + foundation building), Outer God (Jin Dan + Nascent Soul), and Inner God (Dongtian).

In the setting of Sanren, the major sects are just different in the paths chosen by monks before they become immortals. They all have the same understanding of Taoism and practice the Tao. Once they become immortals, all dharma will be unified. As for why there are so many sects under immortals , the scattered people will be led to the end of the second tribulation of the great background of the Great Desolate Current.
