#695 - Tolerance of the Universe

Ice Blue Star Territory, Star of Deep Radiance.

Blood瞳 submerged his body into the dark alcove beside the house, feeling the icy aura flow into his body, and deeply exhaled.

Liquid nitrogen rippled around his body, emitting a dense chill. In the ultra-low temperature of -196 degrees Celsius, Blood瞳 felt his blood almost congeal, and his thoughts nearly cease. He transformed into an ancient statue, unmoving, unthinking.

Silently, a group of crystallized small fish swam to Blood瞳's side, delicately pecking at his hair. But Blood瞳 remained motionless, as if he had fallen into a deep sleep.

The liquid nitrogen was cold, so cold that it seemed to freeze the soul.

But it was precisely this cold that quelled the volcano raging within Blood瞳, preventing him from being conquered by violence. In fact, during these seven years, whenever Blood瞳 couldn't control the violence in his heart, he would come here and submerge himself in liquid nitrogen, relying on its ultra-low temperature to clear his mind.

However, Blood瞳 knew that this method was nearing its end.

The volcano within him surged with violent magma, and the demon in his heart drooled with ferocity. The low temperature of the liquid nitrogen would soon be unable to restrain them. If he couldn't find a new way, even if he became stronger, he would lose his reason and succumb to instinct.

Blood瞳 didn't want that, because he knew what would happen when he lost his reason.

The will of Diabolos would reappear in the world.

To be honest, Blood瞳 wasn't opposed to Diabolos. What did it matter to him if that being destroyed the universe? People had to die eventually; it was the destiny of life, the cycle of nature. Blood瞳 never thought death was something to be feared. The only reason he dreaded death was the instinct to survive he developed as a child.

However, if this death wasn't for the purpose of recycling, then Blood瞳 would resist it. He couldn't imagine what it would be like if the entire universe was left with only death and ashes. Maybe everyone could talk about grand principles, but Blood瞳 didn't care about grand principles; he cared about the gray and cold world that made him feel fear from the bottom of his heart.

Just like the X35 he walked out of.

No hope, no despair. All that remained was endless grayness.

In the liquid nitrogen, Blood瞳 involuntarily felt a chill and sank a little deeper. However, in the low temperature of the liquid nitrogen, his sinking had no effect; instead, it made him colder and more alone.

The crystal fish pecked even more happily, seemingly wanting to fight with Blood瞳's flesh. But how could their lips peck at Blood瞳's current tough skin? They couldn't even peck off the dust on his hair.

Blood瞳 silently watched them, watching their persistent movements. He suddenly stretched out his right hand...

He wanted to touch these crystal fish. But before his fingers could open, a strong, sharp pain suddenly surged from his body, causing him to groan involuntarily.

Visibly to the naked eye, dense black fissures appeared around his right hand, stretching and extending in the void like spiderwebs. At the same time, endless dark matter swarmed out of the fissures, polluting a large area of the surrounding space. The crystal fish, extremely sensitive, wanted to escape, but before they could swim far, dark matter from the anti-space wrapped around them, instantly eroding them into nothing.

His body, finally, could no longer withstand even the sub-space.

Blood瞳 sighed. His right hand suddenly clenched into a fist. Energy from the positive space immediately surged throughout his body, annihilating all the dark matter brought by his right hand. At the same time, the rules of the universe began to take effect, gradually mending the space fissures.

A few seconds later, Blood瞳's right hand returned to its original state.

However, Blood瞳's expression didn't improve at all.

He knew very well that this sign was not a good thing. It meant that the universe's tolerance for him had decreased. In the past, the loss of control would only extend to the level of sub-space, but now it had reached the first layer of anti-space. Although it was only an invasion of dark matter, it also showed how dangerous he was at the moment.

If anti-matter were directly drawn out, even his current body wouldn't be able to resist it easily. Unless he could ignore the power of anti-space. And that... was obviously impossible.

Blood瞳 knew very well that his current power could at most extend to the third layer of anti-space, and even that was just a taste. If he really used it, his actual power should be the second layer. However, that didn't mean he could ignore the damage from the second layer of anti-space; it only meant that he could obtain power and rules in the environment of the second layer of anti-space, and could survive appropriately within it. If the anti-space rioted, he would have to retreat.

But the spatial collapse he had just encountered was another matter. This collapse was because the universe's tolerance for him had decreased, making it unable to bear his body. In other words, the positive space no longer allowed his existence and needed to use a deeper level of space to tolerate him. It was like a frozen lake; once the ice surface cracked, he would sink into the water.

However, in the universe, the ice surface of this lake wasn't just one layer but many layers.

In the beginning, he sank into the first ice surface, which was sub-space, and suffered the worst environmental attacks of sub-space. Fortunately, Blood瞳's body and power had both exceeded the level of sub-space, so he could still withstand it.

But now, he had sunk into the second ice surface, which was the first layer of anti-space. This was very dangerous. Because in sub-space, he didn't encounter much anti-matter, and his body hadn't completely left the protection of positive space. But from now on, he would completely leave the rules of positive space, thus entering the most dangerous anti-space environment in the universe. In this stage, all the experience of positive space and sub-space would be invalid, and he would face a completely new living environment.

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ say ⊥ in ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥⊥ book ⊥⊥ bar ⊥⊥ first ⊥ hair!

Especially, the most terrifying substance in anti-space, the invasion of anti-matter.

The existence of anti-matter itself corresponds to the energy of positive space; it is a negative existence. When combined with any matter in positive space, it will produce an absolute annihilation effect. This effect has a very high priority, which is why anti-matter weapons, powerful weapons that can threaten meteor-class warriors, exist.

Of course, meteor-class warriors are not so easy to eliminate. Normally, meteor-class warriors have a certain degree of anti-matter resistance, allowing them to physically traverse anti-space.

It's a pity that this resistance is a short-term measure, completely different from Blood瞳's current situation. The spatial collapse that Blood瞳 encountered directly meant that he was completely immersed in the corresponding level. To resist this cold, the only way was to live permanently in the corresponding space.

That is to say, not temporarily!

Blood瞳's current body strength is star-level, and his rule comprehension is planet-level. Of course, he can resist the power of the first layer of anti-space. This is also the basis for his current existence. If the universe's tolerance for him continues to decline, reaching the level of the second layer of anti-space, it will be dangerous.

Because even with his current strength, he can never permanently live in the second layer of anti-space. The only consequence is...

Destruction. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to come to Qidian to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets.
