Colonial Suit
#557 - ruthless
Before the words could fade, the space around the altar suddenly twisted, forming wave-like undulations. Under the intense distortion, light refracted erratically, and the entire cave instantly transformed into a nightmare realm. Yet, Shadow stood on the altar, the only area unaffected, a faint, cold smile playing on his lips.
His right hand, still clenched before him, was swiftly retracted, casually patting the void beside him.
This pat was devoid of any dramatic flair, as if brushing away a speck of dust, but with this single action, the entire space shuddered violently, as if struck by the hammer of a giant god from the endless starry sky. All undulations and distortions ceased abruptly, the contrast as stark as if a corrugated iron sheet had been forcefully straightened!
But this wasn't just any iron sheet; it was space itself!! One of the highest-level rule structures in the universe!!
So, in the next moment, several dark figures were seemingly squeezed out of the space, appearing out of thin air before the altar. They landed clumsily on the ground, their bodies erupting with countless points of light.
These were pure energy light points, and they were not human. Instead, they were several humanoids enveloped in intense orbs of light.
Armored Warriors!!
If Blood瞳 were here, he would recognize these individuals as the most famous powerhouses of the Third World. Their most distinctive feature was their perpetual encasement in layers of energy, their forms indistinguishable within the light spheres.
However, in Shadow's eyes, they elicited only a disdainful smile.
"So, a few ants from Moloch. Has the passage of time eroded your memories, causing you to forget reverence? Daring to step into this sacred domain... it seems the ancient lessons were not profound enough."
"You… who are you? How dare you offend the great Moloch warriors!" One of the armored warriors struggled to his feet, emitting a bizarre sound like mechanical friction.
He spoke in an ancient, high-frequency language, vastly different from the common tongue used in lower worlds. This was the Moloch language, a high-level language inherited from ancient civilizations. It was only prevalent above the Third World.
Strangely, Shadow seemed to understand, first pausing in surprise, then bursting into laughter.
His laughter was exceptionally hearty, his voice unusually loud, as if he hadn't laughed like this in a very long time. As his laughter echoed, the surrounding cave walls grew restless, undergoing violent writhing and trembling.
Amidst the laughter, the armored warrior's face, hidden beneath the light screen, was clouded with uncertainty. He felt a vague sense of unease. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he roared.
"What are you laughing at! Before the great Moloch warriors, you should learn reverence. Shut your mouth and kneel, begging for forgiveness! Lowly creature! Your flesh is merely the most useless trash in the universe! Beg for my forgiveness, and I might allow it to last a little longer! Otherwise, I guarantee it will be annihilated in the next moment by the energy torrents of Moloch, along with your insignificant soul!"
"Lowly? Insignificant?" Shadow's laughter ceased, and he lowered his head, glancing at the armored warrior with an ambiguous, unsettling gaze.
"Are you sure you're talking to me?"
"Silence! Insignificant life! You should submit immediately!" The armored warrior still seemed immersed in his own arrogance, loudly rebuking. "Do you wish to be annihilated? Like those lowly races who dared to defy us…"
Shadow touched his nose, his smile finally gone. He quietly observed the armored warrior, lost in thought. "You don't recognize me… Didn't Iminas Soya mention me? What about Barogir Yariad? Didn't he say anything either? Nasha Tushria, Spelgir Gorsol…"
Shadow rattled off more than a dozen names, leaving the armored warrior stunned, then enraged!
"Shut up!! How dare you directly call out the names of the great sage-kings!! You lowly creature, you are challenging the dignity of the Moloch race!! I vow to strip you of your flesh and turn you into a crystal disc for the Eternal Pillar, sealing your soul for eternity!"
The armored warrior was clearly enraged, and with a roar, he lunged forward. Even while his body was still in mid-air, violent energy spread like a storm. He was even able to maintain a certain level of combat power in this relic with chaotic binary energy rules. And judging by the energy intensity he unleashed, it was at least at the meteor level, or even… touching the edges of the planetary level.
However, Shadow didn't even glance at him, simply raising his index finger, sending an invisible wave that instantly swept through the entire cave, freezing the armored warrior in mid-air, preventing him from moving an inch no matter how he struggled.
Only then did Shadow raise his head to look at him, sighing softly.
"It seems… it's not that you're stupid, but that the long passage of time has caused you to lose your heritage. Or perhaps, the most basic taboos. You don't know me. Of course, you don't know our race, and you certainly don't know that in the distant past, you were merely a stopping point on our path of conquest, and your so-called sage-kings were just executors we drove."
"Bold! You are slandering!" The armored warrior, though unable to move, could still speak, immediately retorting furiously. "The great sage-kings led us to rebuild the glorious Moloch civilization! Allowing us to stand at the pinnacle of the universe! How could your lowly being possibly understand their greatness? Be smart and release me quickly, or I will make you regret it!"
Amidst the angry shouts, the other armored warriors also stood up, assuming attack stances against Shadow.
Looking at these humanoids exuding pure energy, Shadow first frowned slightly, then sneered.
"Lowly!? Noble!?"
"What a joke! In this universe, there has never been innate nobility or inferiority, let alone insignificant souls. When you were conceived from the Molochstein factor, you were no more sublime than our biological embryos. In the end, you are just a wisp of dust in the universe."
"You… you actually know our sacred source!!" The armored warrior was immediately startled, his voice even trembling.
Because Shadow had mentioned the Molochstein factor.
Few people know that the Moloch people are not actually carbon-based life forms, but a variant of silicon-based life. Their emergence was the self-evolution of the Molochstein factor! And the Molochstein factor clusters that can evolve life are the sacred objects of the Moloch race, also known as the sacred source! However, this secret is only known to a few civilizations in the Third World, and Shadow unexpectedly revealed it.
"You… who exactly are you?"
The armored warrior no longer dared to be arrogant, his voice containing fear. Anyone who knew about the Molochstein factor could not possibly be a nobody, and even though the Moloch belonged to the energy civilization of the Third World, they were actually just a small group, and would never dare to compete with high-level races.
However, Shadow was too lazy to talk to him anymore. Looking at the slightly apprehensive armored warrior, he shook his head.
"Ants are ultimately ants. Even after these endless years, you have failed to shed that vulgar shell. Considering that your sages once served us, I will grant you eternal rest."
Saying that, Shadow brought two fingers together, about to snap them.
But just then, another voice suddenly rang out.
"Wait!"
"Hmph." Shadow paused his fingers, his gaze sweeping past the previous Moloch warrior, towards the void behind him. "I thought you would keep watching. Isn't it better to be a quiet observer? Why insist on appearing before me?"
"I have no intention of offending your majesty, respected Overlord." As the voice spoke, the distant void twisted again, and another armored warrior walked out. However, unlike the previous individuals, his body was not covered in a turbid energy light screen, but a dazzling golden energy coating. The pure energy flowed gently, like a suit of golden armor. It was indescribably brilliant and noble.
Looking at his strange appearance, Shadow's gaze became serious, as if recalling something. After a while, he softly asked.
"You… know me?"
"I do not recognize you." The man replied, his face hidden in the golden light, making it impossible to see clearly. His tone was extremely respectful. "But the elders of my clan have long conveyed to us the ancient taboos, and let us know that in the distant past, there was a group of great warriors standing at the pinnacle of the universe. Their greatness is beyond words, and can only be expressed with respect. If we encounter such a powerhouse, we must maintain sufficient reverence."
"I think, you… are the legendary great Overlord. A powerhouse who can destroy the starry sky. In your presence, any words become pale and powerless. I have no intention of challenging your majesty, I only want to save these foolish subordinates of mine from your hands."
Saying that, the golden armor of the armored warrior swayed slightly, revealing a void in his face. Through this void, one could clearly see that the man's face was not human skin, but a silhouette composed of blue crystals. In particular, there were no eyeballs in his eye sockets, but two bright orbs of light.
Seeing this scene, Shadow's face finally changed, revealing a hint of surprise.
"You are… an Aiertian!"
Shadow's voice was somewhat cold. This was not surprising, because the Aiertians were not the same as the previous Molochs; their civilization was so strong that they had a place even in the distant Great Chaos era. Back then, there were many contacts between the Crodir and the Aiertians. They were also one of the few civilizations that could sign a secondary agreement with the Crodir.
But today, across endless time and space, two powerhouses from top civilizations met again, it had to be said that fate was wonderful.
But…
Looking at this glorious Aiertian armored warrior, Shadow's gaze gradually cooled down.
This was the Crodir's Path of the Honored King! No matter what the other party's purpose was, being here was a challenge to the Crodir. Did he think he could change anything with the name of Aiertian?
Shadow secretly shook his head, then snapped his fingers.
In the next moment, a scream came from the sky, and the previous Moloch armored warrior instantly exploded into countless streamers. rq!!!
