The merchant spoke impolitely, his eyes filled with disdain.

This was not surprising, as Xue Tong and his companions looked rather disheveled at the moment. Due to a lack of supplies, their clothing was vastly different from the merchant's luxurious attire. Jules was even wearing a set of ordinary combat gear. Furthermore, their ignorance of the Royal Hotel's rules made the merchants feel superior.

However, Xue Tong didn't care. He came from the apocalyptic world of X35 and had seen plenty of people who judged others by their appearance. Besides, the East District was a safe zone. Xue Tong was too lazy to argue with these fools.

Unfortunately, his tolerance was mistaken for weakness by the merchants.

Seeing Xue Tong still arguing with the hotel attendant, one of the merchants snorted coldly and waved over another attendant. He spoke loudly, making sure Xue Tong and the others could hear him.

"How do you maintain this establishment? Are you allowing inferiors to enter at will? Is this the Royal Hotel or a common inn? If it's the latter, I'll file a complaint!"

"Yes, yes," the attendant replied, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He looked at Xue Tong and his companions with pity.

As an attendant of the Royal Hotel, he didn't actually judge people by their appearance. However, if these merchants complained, it would be troublesome. It would mean they would be punished. The Royal Hotel had strict rules and was merciless towards attendants who displeased guests. He had a friend who lost his job for upsetting a guest.

"And what do you think you are?" Jules finally spoke. How could she, with her pride, tolerate the merchant's discrimination? She spoke without reservation.

"A few fat, pig-like idiots, acting all high and mighty here. Don't you know how uncultured you are? People like you couldn't even enter the Fourth World, let alone the Fifth. And you think you're so noble?"

"You!?" The merchants' faces immediately fell. Jules's words had hit them where it hurt. They were indeed merchants from the Sixth World, but their wealth had earned them countless admirers. They had never been subjected to such harsh criticism. Moreover, although Jules was dressed plainly, her noble aura was undeniable, making the merchants feel ashamed and enraged.

"A lowlife is a lowlife, you'll soon see who's uncultured!" A fat merchant shouted angrily, then screeched in a shrill voice.

"Are you joking?" The guard captain's gaze turned cold, his voice becoming stern. "This is the Camille Royal Hotel, not your playground. Everyone who comes here is a guest. I cannot simply arrest people based on your accusations."

"Is that so?" The fat merchant's eyes darted around, a sinister smile appearing on his face. He scanned Xue Tong and his companions, realizing they didn't have anything of value. Just as he was beginning to regret his outburst, he spotted Lie Ya, and his eyes lit up.

"My pet! They stole my pet! That big cat is mine!!"

The guard looked at Lie Ya, his expression becoming even more serious. "Sir, that's a leopard."

"Yes, yes, yes..." The fat merchant nodded repeatedly. "That's right, a leopard! That leopard is mine! They stole it! I demand you get it back for me immediately!"

"Are you sure?" The guard captain was experienced and not as foolish as the fat merchant. He could tell at a glance that Xue Tong and his companions were not to be trifled with. After carefully observing Lie Ya, his expression changed drastically.

"I'm sorry, sir, but allow me to be frank. That leopard cannot possibly be yours. And if you really owned that leopard, I doubt you would still be alive."

"Shut up! That's not your concern. I'm filing a complaint! You need to take this seriously!" The fat merchant was furious, screaming.

He never would have imagined that the guard's words were actually saving him. As an experienced guard captain, he recognized Lie Ya as a Nether Leopard. How could such a king beast be someone's pet?

To put it bluntly, if the fat merchant were to get close to the Nether Leopard, he would probably be torn to pieces in an instant!

"I'm sorry, sir. You're being unreasonable." Seeing the fat merchant still shouting relentlessly, the guard captain finally became angry. He glared at the guard captain and suddenly pointed at one of his guards.

"You, go and bring that leopard over here!"

The guard's face turned pale. He knew that the fat merchant was causing trouble, but he couldn't contradict him, having accepted his money. He could only humbly try to dissuade him. "Forget it, sir, don't bother with these lowlifes. Let's just go into the hotel."

"Don't interfere, I'm telling you to go over there now!" The fat merchant remained arrogant.

"This..." The guard glanced at Xue Tong and his companions hesitantly, finally gritting his teeth and starting to walk over.

Just then, the guard captain stopped him, giving the fat merchant a cold look. "I'm sorry, sir. I must remind you that everyone here is a guest of this hotel. Your current behavior is disrupting the order of this hotel. If you allow your guard to disturb our hotel's guests and cause a dispute, I will immediately arrest you!"

"You're dreaming! Can't you see I'm catching thieves? That leopard is mine! It's mine!!" The fat merchant screamed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"Please provide proof!" The guard captain said coldly, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

"You!?" The fat merchant's face turned green with anger, and he finally roared, disregarding everything. "Does this really need proof? Look at their clothes, look at their faces, they're all low-class citizens from inferior worlds! What ability do such lowlifes have to own that big cat! It's mine, only the noble me is worthy of that big cat!"

"It's a leopard!" The guard captain corrected.

"That's mine too! They're thieves, a bunch of thieves, filthy animals! Their presence in this hotel is an insult to us guests! Don't you understand? As a guard, your first priority is to protect the interests of us noble guests! We are the owners of this hotel!"

Having said that, the fat merchant no longer cared about his image, roaring recklessly. His face was red and his neck was thick, no different from a fighting cock. By now, many other guests had gathered around, pointing and whispering about him. This made him even more unbearable.

"Noble? Inferior?" Hearing the fat merchant's constant insults, the guard captain shook his head slightly. He was too lazy to argue with the fat merchant any further. "I knew it was you! I saw you a long time ago! Haha, it's so good to see you!"

"Thump..." The fat merchant fainted to the ground, convulsing and foaming at the mouth.
