Colonial Suit

#133 - Meteorite-class battle

It was already night when the Gemini twins returned to their residence. The space station had begun a new round of rotation. Outside the window, the dim streetlights lit up one by one. Through the window, one could see prostitutes posing under the streetlights and swaying pedestrians. In the shadows of the street corner, several hooligans lay sprawled, a pungent bloody smell emanating from beneath them.

Posche didn't kill them. In fact, after taking down their leader, the Gemini twins lost interest in the remaining guys. They were tired and just wanted to rest well.

The Gemini twins' residence was a dilapidated apartment. This kind of apartment was common in Black Corner, but not many were clean. The Gemini twins' residence naturally belonged to the clean kind. Otherwise, it wouldn't be on Third Avenue.

The apartment's utilities were normal. Posche and Mia first took a shower, then, dressed in pure white pajamas, sat on the head of the bed holding dolls, sipping sweet milk tea while watching the plasma display wall opposite them. It was broadcasting the latest news from the space station, as well as thousands of film and television programs.

"So boring," Posche said lazily, hugging her knees to her chest and leaning against the headboard. Her skin was very white, and her delicate feet were painted with pink nail polish, like blooming flower petals.

When not dressed in men's clothing, Posche was a real girl.

Opposite her, Mia was just as lazy, but she was forcing herself to stay awake, typing something on her personal smart device.

"Sister, what are you doing?" Posche asked curiously.

"Organizing the gains from this mission, seeing how much money we made," Mia replied without looking up, then thought for a moment and took a sip of milk tea. "We got five thousand star coins and seven hundred contribution points this time. Brother Blood瞳 took good care of us. He transferred almost all the reward to our names. With this money, we can buy two new sets of armor."

"That's... Brother Blood瞳 is the best..." Posche's eyes narrowed with a smile. It was as if hearing someone praise Blood瞳 made her happier than praising herself. "This time, thanks to Brother Blood瞳, otherwise we would have probably failed. Meteor-level warriors are really scary."

"Yeah. That's why I think Brother Blood瞳 is taking too much care of us. This mission was almost entirely completed thanks to him. But we took most of the reward. It's not fair," Mia continued typing, her brow furrowing. "He gave us so many star coins, doesn't he need to replenish his supplies?"

"Yeah. What should we do?" Little Posche's face fell. "But he doesn't seem to be injured this time, so he shouldn't need a lot of replenishment, right?"

"But he just advanced to probationary mercenary. You should know how much he needs money at this time," Mia raised her head and glanced at Posche. "How about we return some of this money to him?"

"Okay," Little Posche perked up. "Anyway, we're used to being alone, and we don't need any escorts. For this equipment replenishment, let's just prepare one set of high-level armor. We'll transfer the saved money back to Brother Blood瞳. I think he'll be happy."

"That's hard to say," Mia shook her head with a wry smile. "Speaking of which, I really wish there wasn't that golden contribution point. That way we could follow Brother Blood瞳 for a while longer. Although we will eventually have to leave him, I'm really a little reluctant..."

"Me too," Posche's expression dimmed, then returned to her lazy state.

The two sisters were silent for a while. The whole room became quiet, with only the sound of the program on the plasma display wall. After a long while, Posche sighed.

"Will we... always be like this?"

"Yes. Until the curse is lifted, or we are killed," Mia continued to fiddle with the smart device. Today she was the older sister, so the supply work had to be arranged.

"It's so far away... When will we be able to collect enough blood of the strong?" Little Posche raised her head and looked at the ceiling. "I'm really fed up with this kind of life."

Mia put down the smart device, then also hugged her doll. "I'm fed up too. But we have no choice. From birth to now... we have had no choice."

"Unless, we die."

"Then let's die," Little Posche said without turning her head. "Sister, don't you think living like this is more painful than dying?"

"Maybe," Mia also raised her head and looked at the ceiling. "But Brother Blood瞳 told us that we must survive."

"What he says must make sense. So we can't die yet."

"Hehe," Little Posche didn't know what she was thinking of, and suddenly laughed. "If... we can always be with Brother Blood瞳... then living is also happiness, right?"

"You're right," Mia also seemed to have thought of the same thing, and a lovely blush appeared on her face.

The two sisters looked at each other, and then suddenly rolled together. They giggled and tickled each other's armpits, making bell-like laughter. After a long while, Posche pinned Mia down. Their movements stopped at the same time.

Posche cupped Mia's face and gently kissed her lips. "Sister, I love you."

"Me too, brother," Mia responded warmly, muttering dreamily.

In the gentle like water, the two sisters were a little sleepy. But just as they were about to fall asleep, suddenly... the whole room shook, and a violent tremor came from under their feet.

"What's wrong?" Posche reacted the fastest and jumped to the window.

She saw the streetlights outside still swaying. Many pedestrians were panicking in a mess.

"It's not an illusion. It's an earthquake."

"This is a space station, how can there be an earthquake?" Mia got up and started putting on her combat suit, while saying in a low voice.

"Could it be an enemy attack?"

"Don't joke, this is Space Station T6, to attack here, at least the Star Pirate Alliance would have to take action."

"Then what is it?" Posche was also puzzled. "It can't be a malfunction of the space station's balance system, right?"

As she spoke, a strong tremor came from under her feet again. This time it was even more exaggerated, even the road surface showed ripples. At the same time, a terrible aura suddenly came from below, like an emperor reigning over the entire sky.

"This is..." The two sisters were shocked and exclaimed at the same time. "Cosmic mercenaries are fighting!"

"This intensity... is Meteor-level!!!"

As they spoke, the entire street began to tilt. With the naked eye, clusters of purple lightning appeared in the sky above the space station. These lightning bolts seemed to be born from nothing, arrogantly tearing the sky apart. Even at a great distance, the Gemini twins could feel the destructive energy contained within.

"Too terrible," Posche was so frightened that her face was pale. She stared intently at the purple lightning in the sky. "It can directly condense the energy of the void. Is this the combat power of a Meteor-level?"

"If he fights here, the entire space station will be destroyed," Mia threw a set of combat suits to Posche, then rushed out the door. "I'm going to take a look."

"Wait, sister, I'm going too," Posche began to dress in a flurry. At the same time, she hopped and skipped to catch up with Mia.

When they walked out the door, the entire Black Corner was in chaos. Everywhere was filled with panicked crowds and screaming voices. But the Gemini twins were not ordinary people after all, they jumped directly into a dilapidated flying car on the roadside, and threw the car owner out.

"Borrow your flying car for a moment."

In the next moment, the flying car was like an arrow leaving the string, rushing onto the street.

With the flying car, it only took the Gemini twins a few minutes to rush out of Black Corner. But the scene above was even more exaggerated than Black Corner, even many buildings were skewed. Along the way, the Gemini twins saw many mercenaries gathering at high speed. Armored figures streaked across the sky. When they arrived at the mercenary branch, many mercenaries had already gathered here.

Above the huge branch building, purple lightning was dense, forming huge networks. At the same time, waves of tremors came from underground. That aura was even more powerful, so powerful that even the mercenaries could not bear it. Many mercenary dependents were trembling all over, with frightened looks in their eyes.

"What happened? How can there be such a terrible aura."

"Who is it? Where is the person in charge of the branch? We need information."

"Damn it... I can't stand it anymore. Give me a mental stabilizer!"

The scene was a bit chaotic, but the Gemini twins couldn't care about that. Although they also felt dizzy and their minds were shaken under the influence of that terrifying aura, they still braced themselves and rushed into the lobby of the mercenary branch.

It was already crowded with people, and the Gemini twins immediately looked at the data holographic image above the hall.

Immediately, they were stunned.

On the holographic image, the magnetic field pattern representing the stability of the space station was already in a mess. The lines of gravity began to distort, destroying the original balance. Even more terrifying was that the pattern representing the space station's flight attitude had also tilted!

This meant that the space station was unable to maintain its normal orbit and was being pulled step by step towards destruction by the power of the void!

"What kind of power is this... Quick... quickly find Lord Hensel. This intensity is not something we can resist!"

In the crowd, someone shouted this. Only then did people wake up from their dreams and rushed towards the door.

But just as they rushed out the door, suddenly... a loud noise. The ground in front of the building suddenly rose. Everyone at the door was shaken and flew out.

In the deafening roar, the raised ground cracked inch by inch, then suddenly exploded. A figure as brave as a tiger rushed out, rushing into the air with an emperor-like oppression. And behind him, there was a figure closely following. He was wearing a black and red armor, looking agile as a leopard. Although his aura was completely suppressed, he still clung on tightly.

Only a burst of dense, rain-like striking sounds was heard, and the two exchanged countless blows in mid-air in an instant. The later figure was kicked down by the previous figure, and crashed into the ground like a meteorite.

"That's..." Looking at the two familiar figures, Posche and Mia couldn't believe their eyes.

"Lord Hensel and... Brother Blood瞳?"
