Colonial Suit

#1203 - The choice of blood pupil

"How... could this be..."

Blood瞳 stared blankly, lowering his head to look at the hand piercing through his chest. The hand was very white, very slender, yet filled with power...

A destructive force surged into his body through this hand, frantically destroying Blood瞳's biological organs, blood vessels, tendons, bones, meridians... and even the crucial energy pool. Blood瞳's Abyssal power desperately fought back, but it could only slow down the destruction, unable to completely expel it. Each time one of his cells was destroyed, it shattered like a planet exploding, completely disappearing without a trace, making regeneration impossible.

And the most terrifying thing was that this power was also extending along Blood瞳's connection with the Abyss, gradually reaching into that black hole, seeping into the bottom of the Abyss...

"There's nothing impossible. I'm just carrying out a plan that was decided long ago."

The voice behind him said, and then the owner of the voice, Diajerus, moved in front of Blood瞳. He now appeared in a semi-energy form, neither completely solid nor completely gaseous. His body shape and appearance were also changing rapidly. One moment he was the deceased Saros, another moment he was Xie, and then Hensel and Muse.

All the strong individuals he had focused on and come into contact with would be simulated by him, but in the end, he settled on Muse's form.

He pulled his hand out of Blood瞳's back, along with Blood瞳's spine...

"It hurts, doesn't it?" He looked at Blood瞳's distorted face and said softly. "This is the sorrow of lower life forms. You won't have this feeling when you reach my level. But I don't think you'll have that chance. Now that you've opened the entrance to the Abyss, it's the same as giving me the opportunity to assimilate it."

"I'm sorry, but you've lost this war."

"Cough..." Blood瞳 opened his mouth to speak, but directly spat out a mouthful of blood and organ fragments. Jagged bones were visible in the large hole in his chest, with blood foam and pieces of flesh spurting out. Diajerus's destructive power was destroying his body and his soul.

"You... why..."

Blood瞳 asked with difficulty, his body convulsing as he involuntarily knelt on one knee.

Diajerus reached out to support Blood瞳, but his face remained calm. "This is the choice of nature, the survival of the fittest..."

"You are still too weak, Diabolos. Although you can use the power of the Abyss, I am an evolved form of the Abyss, a collection of chaos. The gap between you and me cannot be calculated with energy. Lacking the part of the positive universe, you are not much of a threat to me."

"Originally, if you could unleash the full power of this Abyss, you might have had a chance of winning. But it seems that you haven't even managed to unleash half of its power. That destructive force is restrained by you, making your attacks simple and direct."

"I don't know why, but I can feel your resistance to it, your rejection of it."

"It's ridiculous that the incarnation of the Abyss would resist itself. I can't imagine how foolish that is. I watched your past. You pursue power, crave power. But when true power descends, you hesitate. What are you afraid of? Are you afraid of its power, or are you afraid of yourself?"

Diajerus crouched down, his eyes meeting Blood瞳's. He was so handsome, a world apart from Blood瞳's ugly monster form. And his temperament was also extraordinary, like a god.

Blood瞳's eyes were full of violence, while his eyes were full of calm.

After staring at each other for a while, he nodded. "I understand..."

"You are afraid of losing."

"You are afraid that everything you have worked so hard to obtain, family, friendship, love, and even the care of your companions and faction, will disappear under the destruction of the Abyss. To be precise, you are afraid of losing this world. This broken, ugly, dirty, worthless world."

"This is... what is called emotion, right?"

Diajerus asked in an uncertain tone at the end, not expecting Blood瞳 to answer. As the master of the upper universe, his path of growth was different from Blood瞳's. He had not experienced a lower life form but had directly launched an attack on the positive universe in the form of a spatial life. So he could not understand the emotions and persistence of lower life forms.

But this did not prevent him from understanding Blood瞳's thoughts because he had a vast database.

"What a ridiculous idea..." He concluded to Blood瞳. "A supreme spatial life actually thinks like a lower life, is trapped by emotions. I really don't know how you evolved to this day. Don't you know that everything in the universe is energy? We can devour them, and we can reorganize them. Any life should be meaningless to us."

"Have you ever thought that as time passes, one lower life and civilization after another will disappear, and in the end, only we will be left? In that case, what is the value of emotion?"

Diajerus stood up and looked down at Blood瞳, a look of disgust appearing in his eyes for the first time. "I originally thought you were as noble as me, but now it seems you have disappointed me too much. You are no different from those lower life forms. You have the power of the Abyss, but you can't even unleash half of it, trapping yourself in a predicament."

"You want to protect everything you have, but you don't know that this is a mistake. Diabolos is a synonym for destruction. If you can't fulfill this mission, how can you be worthy of this name? In that case, give everything to me."

"I will take over your Abyss, and you will disappear in regret and pain like the lower life forms here."

"Farewell, Diabolos."

Diajerus said, placing his hand on top of Blood瞳's head. The white hand contrasted sharply with the ferocious horns, but instead exuded a mysterious power. Thick purple mist surged behind Diajerus, crushing stars and celestial bodies within it.

Blood瞳 trembled, struggling to look up. He wanted to say something, but suddenly felt that nothing was necessary.

This was the path he had chosen, and it had not changed since he understood his identity. The Abyss was the source of destruction, but he had to fight to protect it.

This was not sad, but happy.

"What I gained... what I lost..." Blood瞳's Adam's apple bobbed a few times, squeezing out a few broken syllables. "I... am not Diabolos, I am..."

"Blood瞳."

Boom...

The distant void suddenly shook, and a spatial rift opened, revealing a huge shadow. Diajerus was slightly surprised, but shook his head after taking a look.

"That dead star that Saros brought in? Or rather, Clodil's War Mother?"

"Diabolos, did you summon this? But do you think a creation of an experimental population can stop me? Don't say a War Mother, even if the entire Clodil were resurrected in front of me, what could they do?"

"What ends, must end. I can already feel the pulse of your Abyss, so disappear."

Saying that, Diajerus was about to press down his palm.

But at this moment, Blood瞳 suddenly squeezed out two syllables in a low voice. Diajerus frowned slightly, as if he remembered the meaning of these two syllables.

That is...

"Armorize..."(To be continued ~^~)
