Chapter 327 – My Daughter Is Likely A Green Tea (part 16)

When Li Su took Su Jing’an to apologise, the other’s parents were very kind and friendly. After all, the Yang family had already looked for them in advance. Su Jing’an did this for Yang Luoluo’s sake. Yang Luoluo did not have any sense of existence, and she was also a child of the Yang family. If she was pointed at and scolded, the Yang family would naturally not ignore her.

The fight ended just like that, but Su Jingwan assigned Su Jing’an a lot of homework during the winter vacation. It saved him from having nowhere to vent his excess energy.

Su Jing’an dared not speak out about this. He could only cry and scribble on the table.

Yang Luoluo also went home and Luo Heng went back on the 28th.

But late on the night of the twenty-ninth, Su Jingwan received a call asking her to go downstairs to get a cake. Su Jingwan went downstairs, suspicious. It was an employee of the cake shop, holding a box of small cakes. “Are you Ms. Su Jingwan? Here are some cakes that Mr. Luo Heng ordered for you. Please take them.”

Su Jingwan took the cake, turned around, and went upstairs. After returning to her room, she took out her cell phone and sent a message to Luo Heng: ‘Did you send the cake?’

As in the past, Luo Heng replied almost instantly: ‘I asked the cake shop to deliver some to you. You can eat it without worries!’

Su Jingwan snorted, not knowing what to say. It took a long time before she sent out: ‘Thank you.’

Luo Heng smiled, and immediately replied: ‘Mm, wait for me to come back!’

Su Jingwan suddenly felt a little heat on her cheeks. She quickly sent a message: ‘Who’s waiting for you to come back!’

But even if she had thrown her phone, Su Jingwan was sitting at her desk. She was unable to calm down and read her book. She looked around and felt that the cake had disturbed her. She stood up, took the cake, and knocked on Su Jing’an’s door.

“As you have been well-behaved recently, I’ll reward you.” Su Jingwan put the cake on Su Jingan’s table and tapped on the table with her fingers. “Sit up straight and write better!”

Su Jing’an put down his pen and picked up the cake. “What do you mean you are ‘rewarding me’? This was clearly sent by your suitor. You gave it to me because you are afraid of gaining weight. Don’t think that I don’t know that.”

Su Jingwan glanced at him. “Can’t you stop talking with food in your mouth?”

Su Jing’an quickly took a bite of the cake, then shut up.

After Su Jingwan returned to her room, she looked around and felt that there was nothing bothering her anymore, so she finally settled down to read a book.

On New Year’s Eve, Li Su’s family of three had a reunion dinner and sat on the sofa to watch the Spring Festival Gala. Li Su and Su Jingwan’s cell phones rang non-stop. They were all WeChat messages from friends sending them New Year’s greetings. Su Jing’an sat on the side and enviously said, “Mum, can you also buy me a cell phone? You and older sister both have cell phones, but I don’t.”

Li Su just finished calling Aunt Zhao for New Year’s greetings. When she heard those words, she glanced at him and just said, “Hehe.”

“Mum, you can’t show such favouritism. Older sister had a phone watch when she was a child, and a cell phone in junior high school, but I don’t have anything.” Su Jing’an pestered Li Su.

“If you want a phone watch, I’ll buy one for you tomorrow,” Li Su said perfunctorily.

“Why do I need a phone watch? I’m not a child anymore. Mum, I want a cell phone. Buy me a cell phone,” Su Jing’an said.

“Your sister bought a mobile phone to study, learn English, and look up information. You already have a student computer, so why do you need a mobile phone?” Li Su sent out the edited New Year’s greeting to the WeChat group, put down the phone and looked at Su Jing’an.

Su Jing’an stopped talking. He couldn’t say that the reason why he wanted a cell phone was because the specifications of the student computer were not high enough to play Honour of Kings1!

Su Jingwan put down her phone. “Didn’t you promise that you would only play games for an hour every day? If you really want a phone, I can…”

“No!” Li Su stopped Su Jingwan’s next words. “He is not as self-disciplined as you. If you give him a cell phone, he will definitely play secretly at night without sleeping.”

Then, she looked at Su Jing’an. “Be good, otherwise, I’ll shut down the internet at home so that you won’t be able to play.”

“Tch! If you don’t want to give me one, then don’t. I don’t care!” Su Jing’an just said that casually. He didn’t expect his mother to actually buy him a cell phone. However, he also understood that what his mother was doing was actually for his own good. He was really inferior to his older sister in regards to self-control.

His older sister was really a very self-disciplined person. That’s why she was so outstanding!

“Older sister, then can you lend me your phone to play for a while? Today is Chinese New Year.” Su Jing’an giggled.

“Wait a minute, I need to send a message.” Su Jingwan originally wanted to send a message to Luo Heng, telling him that she was going to lend her phone to her younger brother to play games so that she would stop sending WeChat messages. But, she was afraid that her actions would make Luo Heng misunderstand, so she thought about it and deleted half of the information.

Then, she handed the phone to Su Jing’an.

Su Jing’an took the phone, opened Honour of Kings very skillfully, and started playing.

Li Su watched from the side, shook her head, and said, “I really don’t know what’s so interesting about Honour of Kings. People are obsessed with it.”

Su Jingwan smiled and said, “Jing’an won’t be addicted to games. Besides, I’m watching.”

Li Su nodded. Su Jing’an was not raised badly in the novel, nor was he now. Although he was a little naughty and jumpy, he was essentially a good boy. “Is there nothing to watch in this year’s Spring Festival Gala? Are there any celebrities you like?”

Su Jingwan shook her head. She wasn’t very interested in entertainment stars. As for the Spring Festival Gala, she just watched it for the excitement.

Li Su didn’t like watching the Spring Festival Gala very much either. In the end, the mother and daughter took a deck of cards and played 24 Puzzle2 against the background of the joyous and festive music of the Spring Festival Gala.

Originally, Su Jing’an started playing Honour of Kings. However, when he saw his mother and older sister playing 24 Puzzle and having fun, Su Jing’an felt a little uncomfortable. He felt a little out of place. The cell phone game didn’t seem to be that fun anymore.

Su Jing’an simply quit the game after finishing and threw the phone aside. “I want to play too!”

Su Jingwan smiled. “Okay, let’s play together!”

Li Su also laughed. “Whoever loses will get a sticker!”

The 3 of them happily played together.

They played until after midnight and the person who lost the most was actually Li Su. Li Su looked at the stickers all over her face and couldn’t believe it. It was fine to lose to Jingwan since she was a high school student, and she was at the most knowledgeable time in her life. It was fine if she couldn’t compare, but she didn’t expect to not be able to compare to Su Jing’an, a primary school student! It made no sense!

Li Su seriously doubted whether this child cheated.

Su Jing’an giggled, pasted the last piece of paper on his mother’s face, and stood up. “Mum, older sister, I’m sleepy. I’m going to wash up and go to bed!” Then, he ran away.

Li Su stared after Su Jing’an. “That little hoodlum.”

Su Jingwan smiled and helped Li Su take off the note on her face. She then wiped her face with a tissue.

Li Su nodded happily and said, “You are still the most obedient. You are much more obedient than your younger brother.”

Su Jingwan smiled.

Li Su got up and went to the bathroom to wash her face. Su Jingwan saw her cell phone that had been thrown aside. She picked it up, opened WeChat, and saw that Luo Heng sent a message. ‘Are you there? Have you eaten dumplings? I got a gold coin. I will give it to you later. I hope the new year will bring you luck.

It’s a pity that we can’t set off fireworks now. The fireworks in previous years were very beautiful.

What are you doing? Watching the Spring Festival Gala? I’m watching it too.

Jingwan, Happy New Year! I hope all goes well for you and that your wishes come true!’

Su Jingwan thought for a while as she held her cell phone. She then replied: ‘I was playing 24 Puzzle with my mother and younger brother just now, and I didn’t look at my phone. Happy New Year!’

After the WeChat was sent, Su Jingwan made a move to go  back to her room. She thought that it would be too late and that Luo Heng should have gone to bed. She didn’t expect that, just as she stood up, a WeChat message from Luo Heng would arrive.

‘Happy New Year, Jingwan. Haven’t you slept yet?’

Su Jingwan pursed her lips and smiled. She turned and went back to her room. Just as she was about to close the door, she remembered something and poked her head out. “Mum, I’m going to sleep first!”

“Wait a minute! I haven’t given you the New Year’s money yet!” Li Su hurried out of the bathroom, took out the red packets that she had prepared, handed it to Su Jingwan, and knocked on Su Jingan’s door. “Stinky boy, here is your New year’s money. Save it. Don’t just buy things!”

“Thank you, mum, you are so kind!” Su Jing’an leaned forward and kissed Li Su. He then went in with a happy smile as he held the red envelope.

Li Su shook her head with a smile, yawned, and went to sleep.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, the three of them went out to watch New Year’s movies. On the second day of the new year, the three of them went to Aunt Zhao’s house with some things.

When the three of them went, the atmosphere was a bit awkward. Aunt Zhao’s son, Wang Lang, seemed relieved to see them coming. “Sister Jiang, you are here. Please come in.”

Aunt Zhao was sitting on the sofa with a straight face. When she heard the movement and saw the three of them arrive, she immediately beamed with joy. “Little Jiang, Jingwan Jing’an, you are here! Come in! A-Lang, quickly pour some tea and get some drinks.”

Sitting on the sofa next to him was a handsome man with gentle eyes. Seeing this, he also stood up and said, “Then I’ll wash some fruit!”

Li Su recognized that the man was Wang Lang’s friend, Xiao Wen. They have had dinner together before.

Wang Lang glanced at Aunt Zhao, then at Li Su, with a pleading expression on his face. Li Su understood and nodded to him. Wang Lang smiled gratefully. “Mum, I’ll pour tea.” He turned around and went into the kitchen.

Aunt Zhao greeted her. “Sit down quickly. Take whatever you want to eat. There’s no need to be polite. Just treat it like your own home.”

Su Jingwan and Su Jing’an were not polite. They sat down with a smile.

Li Su quietly pulled Aunt Zhao aside. “Auntie, aren’t you okay with it? What’s wrong?”

Aunt Zhao looked towards the kitchen angrily when she heard the words. “I am okay with it. I just didn’t expect for that kid with no prospects is actually the one on the bottom! He is so tall and burly, but he is the one on the bottom.  That really…”

Aunt Zhao became angry when she thought about it. She originally thought that her son was tall and burly, 1.□ metres tall. Even if they were the same height, he must at least be the one on top! It turned out that he enjoyed being crushed by a gentle and thin man! She was so pissed off! A good daughter-in-law had become a son-in-law!

Li Su almost couldn’t help but  laugh out loud. “Auntie, you are so cute!”

Aunt Zhao couldn’t help but laugh. “Forget it. I’ve agreed to leave their affairs alone. Why is he so sullen?! I’ll go back tomorrow and pretend I did not see anything!”

“Okay, it just so happens that I miss the soup auntie makes!” Li Su laughed.

In the kitchen, Wang Lang and Xiao Wen heard laughter coming from outside. Wang Lang poked his head out halfway, and heaved a sigh of relief. “It’s fortunate that Sister Jiang is here, otherwise…”

Xiao Wen lowered his head and smiled. He pushed his glasses up with his fingers, but what he said was completely contrary to his gentle appearance. “Since auntie cares about this, then I’ll let you be on top next time?”

Wang Lang rolled his eyes at him. “Get lost!”
