Blue Sword

Miscellaneous remarks at the end of the volume

Volume 5 ended sooner than expected.

I originally wanted to write more cyberpunk plots, but now the policy does not allow it, because you know the nature of the cyberpunk world, and the huge gap between rich and poor can easily be understood as ezy, thus further triggering potential censorship risks.

So we still try not to cause trouble to the platform.

Regarding the description of the gap between the rich and the poor in Solomon City, the original outline was to write about three poor and three rich.

The three poverty refers to "gang gangs", "drug abuse" and "human experimentation". This is a portrayal of the life of the poor at the bottom of the city.

The "drug abuse" part is not written because of the sensitive policy. I just touched on it a little bit with the help of sister Eleanor's narration, letting everyone know that narcotic abuse does exist in Solomon City.

In fact, most of the lower-class poor in Solomon's outer cities usually struggle to make ends meet in difficult living conditions and rely on alcohol and drugs to anesthetize themselves on a daily basis.

Some of the people who were unwilling to accept the status quo joined illegal gangs and tried to seize wealth from the rich inner city, which caused instability in Solomon City.

Another group of people are willing to sacrifice themselves as "paid volunteers" for the Holy See's experiments, thereby obtaining the first wealth that can be invested in the future, hoping that the next generation will achieve a class jump.

After taking stock of the entire volume, at least "gang gangs" and "human experiments" have corresponding plots. Directly witnessing these phenomena caused a severe impact on Nora and Mier's outlook on life. However, under the guidance of different trends of thought, the two of them gradually embarked on different paths.

Nora's route for the Holy See is to carry out gentle reforms from top to bottom, ensuring that social conflicts are alleviated while striving to develop production capacity and technological levels to ensure that the Holy See can survive the next wave of evil - after all, they are facing at the same time Facing the dual threats of extraterrestrial forces and suppressed contained objects.

Mier's revolutionary line is to carry out radical changes from the bottom up, interfere with and destroy the Holy See and trust enterprises, and oppress and exploit the citizens of Solomon City and even the people of the world.

This involves a classic proposition: the conflict between labor and capital.

Countless economists in the country are advocating cutting labor protections to "increase the vitality and profitability of enterprises." Of course, let’s put aside for the time being the theory that “employers are a vulnerable group” proposed by some professors. If we do not adopt any labor protection at all, it will probably be a good thing for corporate organizations, and it will be absolutely beneficial to workers. bad thing.

But what about humanity as a whole? Then you can't tell.

In some harsh situations, such as the scenes described in the Polish "Ice Vapor Age", in the extremely cold environment of ice and snow, humankind's own survival is seriously threatened. At this time, let alone 996, we can do 687 (6 a.m. to 8 p.m., working 14 hours a day) without any psychological pressure - everyone will say that these sacrifices are all worth it.

What if it’s not a bad situation? As living conditions improve, more and more people will oppose the "exploitation of laborers." If one day we climb to the position of the number one superpower, and no one in the world can beat us, and our productivity and supplies are extremely abundant, why do we still work 996 hours overtime? What a joke! Didn’t we say we were going to do those four words?

Then we return to the world of this book.

I would like to ask: Has the scientific and technological civilization represented by the Holy See reached an existential crisis? So that the exploitation of the people of Solomon City and even the entire Christian world was necessary and worthwhile?

Nora saw the dangerous underground containment and the dangers of extraordinary mutations, so she believed that the situation was critical and could only accept the status quo by default and make gentle improvements;

Mi'er saw the Vatican's human experiments and the suffering of the people at the bottom, so she felt that "you, the Vatican, are a jerk" and "all must die, all must die."

Obviously, due to different class origins and receiving different deliberate guidance (both the Holy See and Antichrist only show part of the truth and conceal other parts of the truth), they have formed different political opinions.

Similarly, I believe that the readers of this book also have different views, different political opinions, and even different sexual preferences, so their opinions and choices are also different. Some support copper smelting, and some support rich women. These are normal and expected.

After talking about the three poor, then there are the three rich.

The three riches refer to advanced science and technology, a life of extravagant wealth and trusts controlling everything. This is a portrayal of the life of the upper class rich in the city.

The purpose of writing this aspect is much simpler, which is to tell everyone that Nora’s family is super rich.

In fact, simple "money" can no longer be used to describe the wealth of the Licinius family. Liquidity is only a small part. The big part lies in the control of the world's most cutting-edge industrial production means. The value of this part of the assets is almost inestimable.

As for whether the Holy See's human experiments are an abuse of science and technology, and whether a society where trusts control everything is too cruel, this is a matter of opinion.

————————

The "split" and "palace fighting" triggered by the above description.

The term palace fight is not accurate because these girls are not owned by Aske, so they are not counted as palace fights.

It might be more appropriate to say "Shura Field", but this Shura Field seems a bit bigger. It's not like what you see in Japanese light novels. The hero and Girl A went on a date, and then Girl B came out and beat the hero violently. A meal... This kind of rough and tumble is like a child playing house.

Rather, it is a highly complex confrontational situation mixed with political differences, class struggle and other factors.

Of course, I must admit here that whether it is political differences or class struggle, the main contradiction between them is still the struggle for Aske's "belonging".

Perhaps this just fits the differences between men and women. Just like many male-oriented novels like to let the single male protagonist fight against the sky and the earth, and he will be invincible in the end before he is satisfied; while the ending of female-oriented novels is often the fruition of love.

For the girls of Cang Qing Sword, the fruition of their love is much more important than the realization of any political ideas.

Remembering this sentence, those book friends who are more worried that palace fights will lead to "dead girls" need not worry that Aske will one day be unable to control the situation, causing the girls to kill each other.

As long as he is here, this situation can be suppressed.

Even if he leaves and causes chaos in the world, as long as he comes back, all the secondary contradictions will disappear - "getting the leader" will become the main contradiction, and this contradiction cannot be solved by killing.

Because Ask wouldn't want that to happen, and the girls have to respect his wishes.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t be considered the leading actor (laughs)
