Batman's Owl Godfather

Chapter 32 Dumbledore's Conjecture

"It seems that you, like hundreds of others before you, have discovered the joys of the Mirror of Erised."

Suddenly, a voice came from outside the door.

He was an old man with a white beard, tall and thin, with silver hair and beard long enough to be tucked into his belt, and a pair of blue eyes behind half-moon glasses.

His nose was long but twisted and appeared to have been broken at least twice.

He just stood in the doorway, looking at Bruce with a smile.

Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Bruce didn't notice at all how Dumbledore appeared, as if in the blink of an eye, he was here.

"It's Apparition, a magic of teleportation."

Katum explained to Bruce, "But there are restrictions in the school. Students cannot use it. Only the principal has the privilege."

I see.

Bruce is a little excited about this ability. If he can learn it, he can appear behind others at any time, or he can turn around and disappear.

He asked Katum in his mind: "When can I learn?"

"Sixth grade, it's still early."

Katum sighed, "I also hope you learn it soon. Once you have the ability to teleport, we can go out and deliver food. I can't even imagine how much money we can make."

The owl started talking nonsense again.

Bruce retracted his thoughts and looked at the principal in front of him.

Dumbledore walked back to his seat and motioned for Bruce to sit down too and stop being so formal.

Bruce sat on a soft chair and answered what Dumbledore had just said.

"Yes, Mr. Principal, this mirror allows me to see my family."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear such an answer." Dumbledore said gently, "The Mirror of Erised has terrible magic power. It allows us to see only the most urgent and strongest desires deep in our hearts.

"You are lonely inside and long for your family, so you see them standing around you.

"But Bruce, remember, this mirror can neither teach us nor tell us the truth.

“We can hold our desires in our hearts, but we cannot indulge in them.”

Bruce nodded: "I understand, Mr. Principal."

"So - what do you want to say to me when you come to me this time?"

Dumbledore waved his finger, and two cups of hot cocoa appeared in front of him and Bruce.

Finally getting to the point, Bruce also became serious and explained clearly what happened in the Hufflepuff lounge.

Dumbledore was holding hot cocoa and forgot to drink it as he listened.

His expression also became serious.

"Bruce, what you just said is not something to joke about."

His blue eyes looked at Bruce quietly through the half-moon lenses, "Did you really hear me?"

"I heard it." Bruce nodded firmly, "It was indeed the portrait of Ms. Hufflepuff who told me personally."

"That's right..."

Dumbledore muttered, lost in his own thoughts.

There is no doubt that it is a prophecy, but if the prophecy is true, the meaning behind it is too terrifying.

The end of Hogwarts is coming.

From the beginning to the end, from yesterday to tomorrow, the shadows of the three Dark Lords will envelope the entire castle.

Three Dark Lords?

Dumbledore felt a little headache. The second Dark Lord had not been solved yet. Where did the third Dark Lord come from?

And there is no clue, no idea who it is.

From yesterday to tomorrow is easy to understand, representing the past, present and future.

But what does it mean from start to finish?

A prophecy does not repeat the same concept twice. The two sentences must represent different meanings.

"I'm afraid the old man is paralyzed." Katum said casually, "Retirement is far away."

"Bruce."

Dumbledore suddenly raised his head and looked at Batboy, "What are your thoughts on this prophecy?"

Lao Deng is looking for more clues.

Bruce was the first to hear the prophecy and the only one at the scene. Maybe the portrait conveyed more information at the time, but Bruce himself was not aware of it.

"I have no other ideas, Mr. Principal."

Bruce shook his head, looking harmless.

"Okay then." Dumbledore sighed, "Bruce, would you mind sharing your memories of that time with me?"

"Sharing memories?"

Bruce frowned, what does this mean?

"Don't worry, it won't hurt you. It's a little magic. If you don't want to, I won't force you."

Bruce thought for a moment, then agreed.

Anyway, with Katum's Occlumency Spell, he wasn't worried about revealing any secrets.

Dumbledore smiled with relief, leaned forward slightly across the table, and reached out to touch Bruce's temple.

Then, a silver thread was pulled out of Bruce's brain and put into a test tube by Dumbledore.

"Okay Bruce, that's it."

Bruce's eyes are always looking at the silver thread in the test tube. Is that his memory?

"Bruce, thank you for coming all the way to tell me such important information, but it's already very late now. It's time for the little wizard to go back to his dormitory to rest."

All right.

Now that Dumbledore has said so, Bruce has no reason to stay.

He stood up to say goodbye and walked out the door with Katum.

Then, just as Bruce reached the door, Dumbledore suddenly stopped him.

Bruce turned around and saw Dumbledore sitting in the shadows behind his desk.

The other person's blue eyes were like a puddle of sea water, bottomless.

"Bruce, please forgive the presumption of an old man." He said, "I understand that you grew up in an orphanage. Can you tell me which orphanage it was?"

"Wu's Orphanage." Bruce answered naturally.

"OK."

The expression on Dumbledore's face did not change, and he waved goodbye to Bruce, "Then you should go back to the dormitory early!"

"Goodbye, Mr. Principal."

Bruce took his final leave and left Dumbledore's office.

Dumbledore was left sitting silently on his chair.

Suddenly, a portrait of the principal on the wall broke the tranquility: "Are you doubting that child?"

These portraits all heard the prophecy just now and saw Dumbledore's performance.

They were extremely concerned about who the third demon king was. After all, it was related to the survival of Hogwarts.

"I don't know, I don't know..."

Dumbledore murmured, "I don't want to doubt Bruce, but his eyes are really similar to Tom's, not to mention..."

He didn't finish his sentence.

What's more, Bruce and Voldemort came from the same orphanage.

Bruce walked down the corridor, silent the whole time.

He didn't feel safe until he was very, very far away from the principal's office.

"Katum, do you think there is such a possibility?"

Bruce said in his heart, "The third devil is Dumbledore?"
