Beach (3)

“Ugh, those guys are really something.”

Finally, Seo Ye-rin and Yoo Ah-rin have detached from me.

The two are happily splashing around in the sea, laughing brightly.

Seeing them, it feels like watching kindergarteners play; it’s just so cheerful.

Choi I-seo gives my shoulder a light tap as she stares at them.

“Let’s go over there; there are a lot of fish near the rocks.”

Since we decided to go snorkeling together, I swim after Choi I-seo.

Once I dive down, the clarity of the sea feels much more detailed.

It’s definitely not for nothing that it’s Hawaii. The stunning blue scenery I’ve only seen in movies or shows unfolds right before my eyes, and I can’t help but feel excited.

I put on my snorkeling goggles and dive deeper.

My feet can’t touch the bottom, but I still want to explore further down.

“Wow, this is no joke.”

I feel like I’ve caught a glimpse of why people get so deeply into snorkeling.

Even in relatively shallow waters, I can see various kinds of beautiful fish like this.

It feels like I’ve entered a well-maintained wealthy person’s aquarium.

As I start to feel a bit breathless and swim back up, I still see Choi I-seo submerged at the surface, gazing below.

She waves her hand at me.

“Hm.”

From below, it feels like that.

‘I’m really fucking angry.’

Isn’t this something that should be legally prohibited? Just a moment ago, my mind was clear and pure, and now it’s been turned into a mass of desire in an instant.

“Phew!”

As I come up and catch my breath, Choi I-seo lifts her head.

“Are you good at swimming?”

“I learned when I was young. They said swimming is for survival.”

She mentions that both her older brother and younger brother went through the same process, and I also spent a lot of time at the pool when I was a kid.

It wasn’t just for fun; I learned it as a form of education, so swimming is one of the things I’m quite confident in.

“Are you good too?”

“In high school, I used to go to the pool often in the summer. You know, those places run by the city.”

“Ah, I see.”

“There, the entrance fee is still 3,000 won. Like that.”

It’s a place where people go to swim strictly for exercise, not just for playing in the water.

It suits Choi I-seo.

“Should we try scuba diving later? Now that we’re here, we should give it a shot, right?”

I didn’t have much interest at first, but experiencing this makes me curious.

Choi I-seo’s eyes sparkle at my words.

“Really? I’ve always wanted to try that!”

I didn’t expect her to be this excited.

“Today’s a bit tough, so let’s go tomorrow. If we make a reservation, we can do it quickly.”

“Wow… I’m really looking forward to it.”

“I have to make good use of having a rich boyfriend.”

As I give a thumbs up, Choi I-seo laughs uncontrollably and puts her goggles back on.

Choi I-seo continues snorkeling.

I dive deep again and look up from below.

After repeating that several times while playing, when I come up to the surface to breathe, Choi I-seo approaches me.

“Why do you keep staring at me?”

Caught.

“…I’m not.”

As I turned my head to respond, Choi I-seo grabbed my cheek and restored it to its original state.

“Look at the fish. The sea. Do you really want to do that after coming all the way here?”

“But! I feel like you won’t wear that again after today!”

“…….”

Did I hit the nail on the head? Choi I-seo fell silent. No matter what, she probably wouldn’t wear that swimsuit twice.

So I thought I should keep watching today so I wouldn’t regret it later.

“Ugh, fine, just stop staring. I’m already embarrassed to death.”

“Then can I take a picture later? I brought my camera, and I want to take your photo.”

Splash!

Choi I-seo splashed water at me and swam away like she was escaping to another spot.

“Look at this! This!”

I was about to follow Choi I-seo when I heard Yoo Ah-rin’s spirited voice.

She was standing on a surfboard, somehow managing to balance.

She looked quite skilled, standing there while wobbling.

The way she was trying to keep her balance made it look like she was dancing, which was amusing.

Seo Ye-rin in front of her was clapping and laughing.

“Ah-rin! You look like you’re doing a strip dance!”

I had a similar thought.

Wearing a bikini and shaking her waist to maintain her balance gave off exactly that vibe.

“Damn it?!”

Yoo Ah-rin jumped off immediately, executing a flying dropkick. Her form was so clean; it was no wonder she practiced Taekwondo.

“Gah?!”

Water shot up high.

Seo Ye-rin, who had been submerged, hurriedly resurfaced and shouted.

“Ugh! I swallowed water! You idiot! You’re not my friend!”

“Who tells their friend they’re doing a strip show?!”

Why do they seem so childish now that they’re at the beach?

No, were they always this childish?

As their playful bickering grew louder and attracted attention from those around us, I raised my hand and called out to them.

“Hey! Who wants to go get something to drink?”

“Me! Me!”

“Ugh, I’m tired. Let’s go together.”

Choi I-seo is still underwater.

She seems completely absorbed in the natural scenery beneath the sea, so I decided to leave her be.

As we stepped onto the sandy beach, my gaze was momentarily fixed on the two figures soaked in seawater.

In the case of Seo Ye-rin, she was bundled up tightly, but her chest, which couldn’t be hidden, made her rash guard look like it was about to burst.

In contrast, Yoo Ah-rin’s smooth, athletic body glistened with moisture, leaving a strong impression.

I felt like I might get angry again, but I managed to hold it in.

“Let’s dry off with a towel before we go.”

“Haha! I don’t need to dry off because I’m wearing a rash guard!”

“It’s over by our spot.”

Isn’t there the paid sunbed and parasol we borrowed earlier?

I thought places like that usually keep an eye on your stuff, so when we went to check, what do you know.

The women we saw earlier were casually sitting in our spot.

There were even a few big guys among them.

“Hm, should we just give that up?”

As I suggested with a smile, Yoo Ah-rin frowned and stepped forward.

“Shut up. Hey!”

Yoo Ah-rin immediately started shouting something. Indeed, it seems like a person should be good at fighting first.

‘But I wonder if we can win against those big guys.’

They looked like serious gym buffs.

Not just regular gym buffs, but they seemed to be on steroids or something; they were quite impressive.

“Wow, Uji-na. I didn’t know Ah-rin was good at English.”

“Right? I didn’t know she was that fluent. She looks so clueless.”

“Hey, I can hear you!”

Anyway, their ears are sharp.

“More importantly, can those guys not understand us?”

It wasn’t even that fluent.

As Yoo Ah-rin said, they seemed to be talking about something, claiming they couldn’t understand us.

“Hmm? Are they talking trash about us?”

At that moment, Seo Ye-rin shot a suspicious glare, as if she had heard a specific word.

Then one of the guys turned red in the face, embarrassed, and looked away.

“Wow, it’s Seo Ye-rin. Even foreign guys are charmed by just a glance. Her face is a national treasure.”

“Eh, what?”

“Only the face, though. Inside, she’s just a middle schooler going through puberty.”

“You’re a middle schooler in terms of body!”

“You b*stard!”

Suddenly, Seo Ye-rin and Yoo Ah-rin started to fight, and the foreigners looked even more flustered.

Honestly, if I were in their shoes, I’d be bewildered too if a foreigner suddenly came over speaking awkward Korean and then started fighting among themselves.

“Excuse me. Um, so, what should I say? Go away. Go away. You b*stard.”

“b*stard” just slipped out automatically.

The way they were looking at me was oddly contemptuous.

But then they still didn’t understand and kept insisting I say it again.

‘Hmm, is this racism?’

I heard somewhere that people would pretend not to understand on purpose to keep the conversation going.

‘Nah, it can’t be.’

“Go away. This is our spot.”

With machines doing all the work, I wondered why I even studied English literature. Now I was sure.

Those b*stards were deliberately trying to pick a fight.

“Dumbass, I’m Korean.”

“I’ll call the police if you don’t leave.”

Just as they were really about to call the police, Yoo Ah-rin strode past me and approached them.

Then she suddenly snatched the phone that had been hidden between their towels.

“Are you guys filming? Are you YouTubers?”

“Ah, so you came to me for some strange reason earlier.”

I know there are quite a few YouTubers abroad who do things like hidden camera pranks.

“Hey! Give me that, b*tch!”

“b*tch? Did that guy just call me a b*tch?”

“No, you idiot. He’s saying ‘beach’ here. It means the shore.”

“Ah-ha.”

Seo Ye-rin must be doing that on purpose, right?

To avoid starting a fight for no reason?

Or maybe it’s a bit serious.

Nodding as if in understanding, he suddenly pulled his hand back dramatically and threw his phone into the sea like a pitcher tossing a ball.

Splash!

“Who’s the b*tch, you b*stards? I’ve only had one experience!”

“What the—!?”

Seeing their phones being swept away by the waves, the guys were startled and began to panic.

I thought they were finally getting up, but a muscular man approached Yoo Ah-rin and swung his fist.

Thud!

I stepped forward and took the hit for her.

“Hey!”

“Woo Ji-na!”

Considering his size and muscles, I thought I might get knocked back with one punch.

“Do you use steroids? That’s one hell of a punch.”

“……!”

The man started cursing furiously and raised his fist to hit me again.

But a woman stepped in between us.

I naturally thought it would be Yoo Ah-rin, but it wasn’t.

Standing there, wearing a black hat and black sunglasses, was Senior Joo-hee, who had caught his fist with her hand.

“Captain Joo!”

As I called out to her with a quivering voice, she sighed.

“See? I told you it could be dangerous.”

The senior pushes away the man’s fist and coldly stares at the thugs.

I quickly threw them my final mercy.

“Hurry up and apologize! Otherwise, you’re really going to die!”

“…….”

The senior looked at me in disbelief, but honestly, isn’t it true?

The senior has a record of winning against Hwang Sang-ji, who wields a weapon.

“An opponent like this steroid-pumped idiot isn’t worth fighting!”

It’s only natural to feel sympathy for someone who is too weak.

“I heard that using steroids makes you unable to get it up. Is that true?”

“How would I know? Ask that b*stard.”

With the arrival of Senior Juhui, Seo Ye-rin and Yoo Ah-rin were already chatting comfortably among themselves.

Anyway, despite my merciful warning, those guys couldn’t get a grip and lunged at Senior Juhui again.

Bam!

As the senior’s fist buried itself into the guy’s solar plexus, he crumpled up and collapsed onto the sandy beach.

“Yamuchiiiii!”

Seo Ye-rin is really pretty, so I’m glad.
