#180 - May your blade always remain sharp
Selina sat in the cockpit of the Zero, looking around with curiosity.
"Haha, little girl, touch it if you want."
Hemit laughed heartily while manipulating the Zero.
Hearing the old dwarf's rough laughter, the girl lowered her head shyly.
"Mr. Hemit, where are we going?"
Elan sat behind Hemit, asking with doubt. After hearing the instructor issue the order to launch a general attack on Hinterlands, the trio couldn't wait to leave Natasha and return to Hinterlands.
"Next is the time for us to show our skills! It's time to let those troll bastards taste old Hemit's power!"
The old dwarf did not answer Elan's question, but laughed loudly and pulled the control lever, manipulating the Zero to run.
…
Just as Hemit drove the Zero away, two sneaky figures appeared on the vast expanse of snow.
"Young Miss, do we really have to go… to go to the battlefield?"
The little maid, wearing thick cotton clothes, said aggrievedly.
"Of course! Didn't you see that shameless little hussy from the Eclipse family has already followed the big beard? They must have gone to find Al! If we stay any longer, we really won't have any chance!"
Lianda pouted unhappily, panting as she walked on the snow.
"But… but won't those trolls…"
Seeing that Lianda didn't stop, but instead quickened her pace, Lola could only jog to catch up.
"Fool! My future husband is a hero! According to that big beard, the trolls are about to be finished, and Hinterlands will soon be our Quel'dorei's territory!"
The young lady rubbed her red cheeks, saying excitedly.
"Not your husband."
Lola muttered softly.
And so, the two inexperienced young girls followed the huge footprints of the Zero, beginning their "husband-seeking" journey.
…
Silversong.
This originally peaceful city of withered trees was already covered in smoke and flames.
The trolls in the city were once again completely annihilated by the Allied forces (the last time they were killed by gryphon knights and high elf rangers).
"Where is the supply train?"
Salorean sat upright in the temporary command room, with a group of high-ranking officers sitting below him.
"Although Aerie Peak is already prepared, due to the hasty nature of the preparations, our supplies are only halfway there."
Lusk lowered his eyelids, answering Salorean's question in a deep voice.
"How long will it take?"
"It will probably take three days… no, only two days."
Lusk wiped the sweat from his temples, saying nervously.
Salorean's aura was too strong; even Lusk, who had held a high position for hundreds of years, dared not easily provoke him.
"We don't have much time to wait. This is your dereliction of duty. Take thirty lashes!"
Salorean's eyebrows shot up, saying sternly.
"Yes… Yes."
Corps Commander Lusk didn't dare to have any objections, and walked out of the tent in disgrace. Before long, the crisp sound of whipping rang out outside the tent.
After this operation, the somewhat lax dwarven officers immediately sat up straight, all concentrating on listening to this temporary meeting.
"Is the mage legion ready?"
"Reporting, Marshal, the Second and Fourth Mage Legions are ready to depart at any time!"
Lusk's adjutant stood up straight, saluted, and then said loudly.
Salorean nodded and continued to ask:
"What about the ranger legion?"
"The ranger legion is ready!"
…
"The dwarven gryphon legion is ready!"
The last red-bearded dwarf, Kurtaz, shouted loudly.
"How is your foot?"
"Reporting, Marshal, I have no problems!"
The red-bearded dwarf said loudly, sticking out his neck.
"Very good."
A trace of a smile appeared on Salorean's serious face.
"Everyone listen up! The entire army advances! Tonight, I want to have dinner with you all in Shadra'Alor! Can you do it!?"
"Roar!"
"For An'owyn!"
"For the glory of Quel'dorei!"
"Quel'dorei is invincible!"
Listening to the roar of the crowd, Salorean couldn't help but nod in satisfaction, and took the lead in walking out of the tent.
…
"Hahahaha! Burn you Hinterlands vermin!"
Hemit laughed wildly while driving the Zero, frantically spewing flames over Shadra'Alor.
"Has he always been like this?"
Calaine looked at the frantic old dwarf speechlessly, spread her hands, and looked helplessly at her companions.
"Ignore him, we have more important tasks to do!"
Ansirem pointed to the altar of Shadra'Alor, saying softly to the three people beside him.
"That's right. This decapitation mission seems simple, but the workload is huge. I hope you can all do your best and not be slack at all."
Elan took a deep look at Selina, who was wearing a hood, and said in a deep voice.
Selina nodded. This was her first time performing a "mentor's" mission, so she was naturally very nervous.
"Okay, let's act according to the plan. Calaine and I will be in charge of the east, you and Selina will be in charge of the west. Relax, with Hemit creating chaos here, I believe the mission will not be too difficult."
Ansirem comforted the girl, wanting to pat her on the shoulder, but Selina deftly dodged it.
"Haha… haha."
Laughing awkwardly, after a wave of magical fluctuations, Ansirem's figure disappeared.
The remaining three looked at each other and disappeared at the same time.
…
"Bang!"
A headless corpse fell to the ground with a bang. Selina wiped the magic wand in her hand, stepping indifferently over the troll priest whose head she had just blown off.
"Sixteen…"
Selina murmured to herself. Just as she was about to continue, a slight noise behind her made her alert.
She turned around swiftly, pointing the magic wand in her hand towards the direction from which the sound had come.
A ball of cold, icy magic quickly took shape and shot out.
"Selina… damn it!"
Looking at the ice arrow flying towards him, Elan could only helplessly avoid the vital point, taking it on his chest.
"Bang!"
Elan staggered back two steps, touching his chest with lingering fear.
If he hadn't exchanged for this Ar'yuo Robe in advance, the girl's powerful ice arrow would probably have cost him half his life.
Elan couldn't help but think.
"Sorr… sorry… I didn't know… didn't know it was you."
After seeing who it was, the girl twisted the hem of her clothes, apologizing softly.
"It's okay, your alertness is very high, I was being presumptuous."
Elan grinned, then continued.
"How's your harvest here?"
"16"
"Not bad, any alive?"
"No… no"
The girl shook her head, saying shyly.
"Sigh, I didn't catch any alive here either. Hopefully Ansirem and Calaine had some success."
Elan shook his head helplessly.
"Wa… want to leave?"
"Yeah, I just received a signal from His Excellency the Marshal. The Allied forces are less than 50 miles away from Shadra'Alor. It's time for us to retreat too."
…
Two hours later.
Salorean rode on a magnificent highland warhorse, watching the ancient city in front of him. Behind him were densely packed Allied soldiers.
After a moment of silence, Salorean looked at Romans and Kael'thas beside him, nodded slightly, then drew Quel'Delar from his waist and raised it high, roaring loudly:
"Warriors, may your blades always be sharp, charge!"
