Chapter 124 Never Peace (7)

Chen Yihan asked the police to take Qin Yijuan back to the police station, while he got into Chen Xiaoqiu's car and asked her to drive to the police station.

I sat on the passenger seat, feeling Chen Yihan's sharp gaze from behind, and felt like I was on pins and needles. Chen Yihan said nothing the whole way, and I was sweating all the way. Chen Xiaoqiu was not relaxed either, and his knuckles holding the steering wheel turned white. While I was enduring the pressure brought by Chen Yihan, I was also afraid that Chen Xiaoqiu would get into a car accident.

When I arrived at the police station, one of my worries faded away. After feeling relaxed for a while, I suddenly became tense again.

There was a bloated man walking slowly in front of the police station. In the light, the man looked gray, as if shrouded in a layer of fog. It wasn't that I was dazzled, or that I saw a ghost, but that the man was in a very bad state, lost his mind, and looked like that. The man is not a ghost, the ghost is following the man.

I widened my eyes and stared at the girl behind the man. The girl was wearing rustic clothes and braided hair. She was two steps away from the man and followed him every step of the way. As she walked, some of the clothes or skin on her body lit up with fire, turned into ashes, fell with a rustling sound, and disappeared on the ground.

Chen Yihan noticed something strange about me before Chen Xiaoqiu, and asked, "What happened to that person? What's behind him?"

I almost jumped up and hit the roof of the car, looking back at Chen Yihan in horror.

Chen Yihan's eyes moved from the girl to me, and asked again: "What's behind that person?"

Normal people would ask what's wrong with that man, but Chen Yihan clearly couldn't see ghosts, but he could find that what I was looking at was not the strange man, but the girl behind the man.

Chen Xiaoqiu reacted with a strange expression on his face, "Have you... seen a ghost?"

Chen Yihan frowned, "Xiaoqiu."

I froze for a long time, then looked at Chen Xiaoqiu and nodded with relief. Rather than feeling relieved, it's better to say that the jar has been broken.

Chen Yihan's expression became strange.

I guess he thought Chen Xiaoqiu was rude before. Chen Xiaoqiu was indeed a rude person, but he was not vulgar, but sharp, direct and merciless. Chen Xiaoqiu would not say sarcastic words. She said hell, I nodded. A person like Chen Yihan would realize something was wrong, but he couldn't turn around in a short time.

A hint of joy flashed in Chen Xiaoqiu's eyes.

I can't perform ghost catching like the people in Qingye, but God opened my eyes and I happened to meet a ghost who can prove myself and let Chen Yihan understand that Chen Xiaoqiu and I are doing serious things.

Chen Xiaoqiu opened the car door and urged me to quickly enter the police station, and asked Chen Yihan to follow me.

Chen Yihan remained calm, her posture was just to see what tricks the two of us would do.

No longer caring about Qin Yijuan, Chen Xiaoqiu took me to chase the man first.

The man was very conspicuous, standing at the reception desk of the police station. There were only police officers on duty in the police station in the middle of the night. The man's voice stood out as clearly as his presence in the empty police station.

Chen Xiaoqiu asked me in a low voice: "What kind of ghost?"

Chen Yihan looked at me and Chen Xiaoqiu inquiringly, but hesitated to speak.

I bit the bullet and said: "A little girl, sixteen or seventeen years old, dressed very old-fashioned, with sparks on her body. Ponytail, round face, single eyelids..." I tried my best to describe, wishing I could suddenly learn sketching.

Chen Yihan looked at me no longer as a lunatic, but as a liar.

The man over there also got to the point: "...I want to report an arson case twenty-three years ago, the arson case that killed thirty-four students in Class 3 and 5 of No. 18 Middle School."

My voice broke.

Chen Xiaoqiu looked at the man in shock and let go of my hand.

Chen Yihan said to herself: "Eighteenth Middle School..."

I opened my mouth wide and listened to the man continue: "My name is Jiang Yongning. I was a student in Class 5 of the 3rd grade of high school. I have found evidence over the years that the arsonist was our class teacher Qin Yijuan."

I seemed to be struck by lightning from the sky, and my body shivered.

"What's going on?" Chen Xiaoqiu turned to look at me.

"I don't know... Qin Yijuan is a prisoner? How is this possible? If it was her, why didn't they burn her to death?" I said absentmindedly.

Is this Jiang Yongning falsely accusing Qin Yijuan? But that female ghost...

I saw tears streaking down that girl's face, along with her burnt, peeled off and regenerated skin.

"Who is the prisoner? Who is the prisoner?" I couldn't help but step forward.

The policeman on duty and Jiang Yongning noticed me and looked over. The policeman saluted in surprise and called, "Hello, Chief."

Jiang Yongning's face was deathly silent, and his eyes were dull and lifeless.

The girl also turned her head. She has a round face, single eyelids, smiling lips, and the corners of her lips are naturally upturned. She looks very happy, but she is crying and heartbroken, and those lips do not give people any feeling of happiness.

"Who killed you? Why..." I looked at the girl, feeling a little dazed.

The sparks on her body were like neon lights on the street, dazzling. The temperature in the police station was rising, and I felt dizzy from the heat.

I saw her open her mouth, and black flames came out of her mouth. She was anxious to say something, but she could only spit out black smoke, her expression becoming more desperate and sad.

"Write, find something to write on." I muttered to myself, my voice was vague, and it didn't even sound like my own voice.

The girl suddenly realized.

"Lynch!"

I suddenly heard Chen Xiaoqiu yelling, as if I had been pricked by a needle. I clearly felt that the heat wave was not the temperature of the air conditioner, not the girl in front of me, but coming from behind me.

I turned around and saw a worried Chen Xiaoqiu and a frowning Chen Yihan. Behind them, several fireballs lingered and gathered at the door of the police station, burning with anger and unwillingness.

call!

Crackling!

I heard the sound of flames, and when I turned around, I saw that the girl had also turned into a ball of flames. Her body twisted, and the flames swelled and then dissipated. The ashes formed the character "Qin" and disappeared after landing.

I stared blankly at the disappearing girl, feeling the increasingly hot temperature on my back, and there seemed to be a breeze whispering in my ears.

"Please... help him..."

The girl's voice faded away, and there was no trace of her presence in the world.

"Round face, single eyelids, smiling lips, wearing a beige sweatshirt and black overalls, with braids, you..." I looked at the man.

The man's lifeless expression changed, and his lips trembled, "Zhang Xue..."

Zhang Xue, is your name originally Zhang Xue?

Suddenly my mind sank and I fell down.

I felt no pain, only heard Chen Xiaoqiu's voice fade away, and my consciousness left my body, falling rapidly into the abyss.

Suddenly, the feeling of darkness and emptiness disappeared, and I heard noisy voices.

"Zhang Xue, what are you looking at?"

"No, it's nothing."

A panicked girl's voice came out of my body.

My vision turned and a boy disappeared from view. That man had delicate features and a timid and fawning expression.

"Jiang Yongning, go buy us potato chips!"
