Chapter 80: Fury Brand Tool, Once You Use It, You'll Love It! [Supplement 1]

The file wasn't large, and the information wasn't extensive. Nick Fury scanned through it in just a few minutes. After reading, he leaned back in his chair, thoughtfully looking at the paused screen.

The paused screen displayed information alerts about experimental subjects losing their lives.

He wasn't feeling regret or any other emotion for these lost lives. Perhaps these people were pitiful in the eyes of Eddie Brock and Dora, worthy of sympathy, and worth standing up for. But Nick's mindset was destined to be different from Eddie's!

Did Nick care about the deaths of a few people?

Or the deaths of a few homeless people?

Even if ten or eight of these people went missing, or ten or eight died, even if the number was multiplied tenfold and the experimental scenes were ten times more tragic, so what? What did it have to do with Nick Fury? It wasn't something he should manage or worry about! He didn't have that much sympathy or kindness to spare.

He had seen worse events in his life, more tragic and unbearable ones. Someone with a weaker mentality or a stronger sense of justice would have already developed psychological problems! But him? His heart had long been hardened into iron. Even if there was still a little so-called sympathy and kindness left, it was impossible to release it to these homeless people. So, expecting him to stand up for justice because of the tragic deaths of a few homeless people was wishful thinking!

Nick wasn't that free!

So, his attention never lingered on the bodies of those homeless experimental subjects for more than a second. What he valued were the strange symbiotes in the videos and pictures! That was what he was interested in and needed to pay attention to and take seriously!

After hesitating for a few minutes, Nick finally called Luke. He felt that Luke should have some more important information. With just these things, what decisions could they allow Nick to make? He felt he should at least communicate with Luke and test his intentions. If possible, Nick wouldn't mind helping.

After all, the relationship between the two was indeed in its honeymoon period. There was also a relatively solid foundation for future cooperation. That's what Nick believed! If Luke did have a decent excuse and reason, he might be able to offer some advice or put some pressure on the other party, depending on the situation.

"Have you seen the information, Director Fury?" Luke's voice was as relaxed as ever.

"Of course. If you want me to do something, then I need more information." Nick held the phone, emphasizing, "More substantial information! Otherwise, you shouldn't come to me for this kind of thing. SHIELD isn't responsible for upholding justice, that's the police's job."

"Those symbiotes are not the product of some technological experiment, but alien life forms."

Luke's words instantly changed Nick's expression.

"Alien life forms?" Nick asked back. He was a bit allergic to alien life forms recently. If he remembered correctly, his capable officer Phil Coulson was currently in Texas dealing with trouble from alien visitors! Nick had even dispatched Hawkeye Clint Barton. Now, this was happening in California again?

What? Were aliens planning to come here on group tours recently?

"A special kind of alien life form. As a parasitic organism, they have intelligence, strength, and potential, but they need a suitable host to be a perfect entity. In general, they are a very peculiar alien life form," Luke replied.

"Intelligence?" Nick always grasped the key points of a sentence.

"Yes. According to intelligence, the host's personality can affect them, but they can also affect the host's state and emotions. If they have parasitized evil life forms, then they like to parasitize villains, or transform their hosts into villains," Luke reminded. "Unfortunately, the ones captured by the Life Foundation like villains."

"Motherfucker!"

Nick cursed. Then Luke's next sentence completely broke him.

"According to my informant, Dr. Dora Skirth, the Life Foundation discovered these life forms on a comet. And that comet reportedly has millions of individuals. The truth cannot be determined. But Mr. Carlton Drake of the Life Foundation intends to launch a rocket again in the near future to bring all the symbiotes on that comet to Earth.

Does Director Fury have anything to say about Mr. Drake's ambitious and great goal?"

"He's courting death!" Nick Fury gritted his teeth. "If he dares to launch a rocket, I dare to turn him and his rocket into fireworks!"

"So?" Luke's tone carried a hint ofๆˆ่ฐ‘.

"So?" Nick sneered, "Wanting to introduce millions of alien creatures into this planet without official permission, his actions and plans seriously endanger world security! He's dead! This happens to be within SHIELD's jurisdiction!"

"As the price for giving you such important information, Director, I want to study a few symbiotes. Is that okay?" Luke began to patch things up.

"I can give you this authorization." Nick nodded. As long as it wasn't as insane as wanting to bring in millions of uncertain and dangerous alien lives into this planet all at once, then everything was negotiable.

Hanging up the phone.

Nick Fury smiled wryly. Why did he feel that ever since he started dealing with Luke, the other party was using him more and more smoothly?

However, as a tool person, he still had to accept the other party's favor. That was what made Nick the most helpless.

"Agent Romanoff." Nick thought for a while, then dialed Natasha Romanoff's number and assigned the task to her.

"In other words, prevent the other party from launching a manned exploration rocket, and ensure that not a single symbiote goes missing. If that Carlton Drake resists, his life or death doesn't matter, right?" Natasha repeated Nick's task requirements, nodding. She had already asked about the manpower involved in the mission this time. There would be at least three elite tactical teams to cooperate with her in dealing with the Life Foundation's problems.

"At that time, you can first contact Luke's security head, Snoke. He will introduce Dr. Dora Skirth, a former internal employee of the Life Foundation, to you. Dr. Skirth knows a lot of relevant information. You can make a mission plan based on the other party's information. My requirement is speed! Don't let the other party successfully launch the rocket, otherwise the subsequent impact will be too bad," Nick instructed. If possible, it would be best if the rocket didn't go to space.
