Another person died in the lab.

Repeated experimental failures had made Carlton Drake somewhat impatient for quick success. His trusted bodyguard, Terry, brought him one tramp after another, disheveled and with faces full of beards. They were lured to this lab with just a meal, some meager money, and a hollow promise of a bright future.

Dr. Dora Skirth also witnessed the demise of life before her eyes once again. This time it was faster, more swift. She wanted to stop Carlton, but didn't dare to take that step easily.

In the end, Dora couldn't suppress the guilt in her heart. She didn't dare to disobey Carlton Drake's orders, nor did she dare to stop Carlton herself, so she turned to Eddie Brock.
