American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker
#56 - Borrow a knife to kill, weapon meme [two in one]
“Mr. Dario Agger.”
At the airport near the factory, Dario Agger, accompanied by his staff and bodyguards, ran into Nick Fury, who was leading a fully armed combat squad. The squad included five Iron Giants, and Fury himself was holding a large, sci-fi-looking metal weapon, making him extremely intimidating.
“Isn't this Director Fury?”
Having just remotely handled some urgent matters and sent out orders based on the information he had gathered, Dario Agger, still anxious to personally go to New York Harbor to resolve the issue, saw Nick Fury striding towards him, his black trench coat billowing, protected by fully armed S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers. He couldn't help but feel a sense of trouble.
Although the two had never explicitly dealt with each other, they had met once or twice and had a few indirect confrontations. Several of Roxxon's major deals with the government had been disrupted by S.H.I.E.L.D., so Dario Agger hated Nick Fury to the core. However, he was also aware of how thorny and difficult the man in front of him was.
Relatively speaking, they might have different pursuits, but in terms of their actions and methods, they could be considered the same kind of person. Both were the type to use any means necessary to achieve their goals! So-called morality and laws were difficult to restrain them. They always had various ways to bypass those things and achieve their objectives at all costs.
He, however, was a businessman, pursuing profit.
Nick Fury belonged to the government, pursuing so-called [order].
Essentially, Dario Agger didn't think there was any difference between them. And the person he hated most was someone like himself! Especially when that person had the status and strength to threaten his interests, that made it even worse!
“I have some matters I'd like you to explain at S.H.I.E.L.D. Are you coming with me willingly, or should I take you?”
Nick Fury didn't mince words. At his command, the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers and elite combat squad, including the five Iron Titans he had specially brought, all raised their weapons, aiming at Dario Agger's people, who had also revealed their various weapons. The atmosphere was tense.
Dario Agger's expression darkened slightly, uncertain about Nick Fury's strong stance.
Mainly because he currently only had a small amount of information. He had been notified that Roxxon's space-based satellite had destroyed a S.H.I.E.L.D. base, and that this base was painstakingly managed by his old friend in secret.
Had Roxxon Corporation launched a space-based satellite?
Dario Agger could say very clearly: Yes!
But that was a powerful weapon built by opening up a large number of connections, using a large amount of technical disguise, and spending a large amount of manpower, material resources, and financial resources! It belonged to him, to Roxxon Corporation's ultimate trump card! It was a weapon that only he could decide and authorize to use!
Had he authorized its use?
No!
Dario Agger knew very well that he had not issued an order to use this hidden space-based satellite!
Once this kind of thing was exposed, even with Roxxon's size and connections, plus the help of his old friend, it was uncertain whether they could smooth things over.
Oh, he forgot, the Roxxon space-based satellite had just destroyed his old friend's painstakingly managed base.
Fuck!
Dario Agger couldn't help but curse in his heart. He realized that someone had created a big trouble for him! A trouble so big that he might have to huddle up and accept investigation for a long time.
Could he and Nick Fury have a firefight here right now?
Looking at the five intimidating Iron Titan series armored suits, then at the elite squad Nick Fury had brought, and finally at his own bodyguards, he realized that the other side was well-prepared, while his side was responding passively. If they resisted, the other side could easily eliminate his people. He wasn't afraid, but he didn't want to inexplicably go from being the head of a business empire to a wanted man.
He didn't like or accept that kind of heaven-and-earth change in status!
“Have you thought about the consequences, Director Fury? Taking me away here is not a good thing. The pressure you'll receive afterward will be enormous.” Dario Agger leisurely straightened his collar and smiled at the expressionless Nick Fury.
“That's my business, Mr. Agger.” Nick Fury said coldly, signaling the two soldiers behind him to go over and bring Dario Agger over.
“I need a moment.” Dario Agger raised his hand. He wasn't afraid of Nick Fury doing anything to him. He had enough power behind him to put pressure on the other party. As long as the other party hadn't collected enough evidence in a short period of time, they would inevitably release him due to pressure. He wasn't like those ordinary people with no background who could be arbitrarily disappeared, captured, or whatever in S.H.I.E.L.D. missions.
The world was so unfair.
Of course, no matter what, this matter couldn't be easily passed over. Even if he could safely escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. this time, subsequent troubles from the government would follow him like a shadow. The various hearings, the cost of using connections, and the strict supervision that Roxxon might face in the future, even his position in Roxxon might be shaken by this, and there was even the possibility of spending some time in prison.
Thinking of these things, Dario Agger hated the person who designed him to the core. He had always been the one to design others, but this time he had been secretly designed into a bottomless pit that he might not be able to climb out of!
“Don't make any extra moves, Mr. Agger. Do you know what you've done? Maybe someone will speak up for you, but that should be your lawyer. This is the greatest courtesy S.H.I.E.L.D. can give you!” Nick Fury rudely signaled with his one eye, and the two soldiers who stepped forward immediately moved again, walking to Dario Agger's side and grabbing his arms on either side.
“Don't do this, it makes me feel like I'm a criminal.” Dario Agger struggled slightly, looking at Nick Fury with both eyes.
“Until you prove yourself innocent, in my eyes you are undoubtedly a criminal. Listen, I know what kind of person you are, and I know your style of doing things. You're a bad egg, a rotten person, someone who uses any means necessary. Maybe you want to cover up something, but you shouldn't have destroyed that base!” Nick Fury stepped forward and said fiercely in front of Dario Agger.
“I didn't destroy that base, it wasn't me.” Dario Agger raised his head, met Nick Fury's one eye, and explained as sincerely as possible.
“Who believes you? Who can prove it?” Nick Fury shook his head.
“Listen, someone is designing me to frame me! No matter how stupid I am, I wouldn't use Roxxon's space-based satellite weapon to destroy a S.H.I.E.L.D. base! I know this will bring more trouble! Even if I did it, I would definitely clean up the mess afterward, it's impossible for you to suddenly stand in front of me like this.” Dario Agger argued.
“Sounds reasonable.” Nick Fury shook his head again under Dario Agger's gloomy gaze: “But I choose not to listen. No matter how you deny it, that is Roxxon's space-based satellite weapon. Don't tell me you didn't put a lock on the control of this weapon or something?”
After saying that, Nick Fury retreated while signaling the soldiers to take Dario towards the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport plane. The fully armed soldiers pointed their guns at Dario Agger's bodyguards and employees while retreating step by step, shielding and protecting their commander.
“I think there may indeed be some unknown secrets here.” Agent Hill, who had boarded the plane and began to retreat, leaned to the side in her seat and said to her commander, Nick Fury.
“So what?” Nick Fury glanced at her: “Agent Hill, you need to know that S.H.I.E.L.D. has lost a base! And obviously, the higher-ups won't easily allocate funds for us to make up for this loss.”
“Roxxon?” Agent Hill tentatively looked at her director. She believed that her director had taken note of the huge company Roxxon.
“Remember, Agent Hill, if the evidence is conclusive, then Dario Agger must be criminally charged, and Roxxon must also compensate for the corresponding losses. If something unexpected happens afterward and we have to release Dario Agger, then both Roxxon and he must bleed a lot in terms of reason and law. This is what the higher-ups are willing to see.” Nick Fury shrugged.
“That sounds like something you shouldn't be saying in your position.” Agent Hill was speechless at her director's shamelessness.
“I really like a saying, you don't know the cost of living until you're in charge.” Nick Fury crossed his arms and placed them on his chest and abdomen, closing his eyes and pretending to sleep: “If we can get some guaranteed additional benefits in the process of implementing the target plan, why not? The base's reconstruction funds and the soldiers' pensions should be the responsibility of Roxxon and Dario, who caused all this.”
……
“All information has been inserted and sealed.” The White Queen's voice rang in Luke's laboratory.
“Traces?” Luke asked.
“No traces.” The White Queen replied.
“Nick Fury should thank me, after all, I helped him throw out so much information. As long as he can get or crack Roxxon's mentally retarded intelligent system, the intelligence information in Purple Man's memory is enough for him to be invincible.” Luke, who designed all this, shrugged. Shamelessly praised himself.
Although Dario Agger is cautious in his work, he is at most using loopholes in the rules, so that people can't temporarily catch his big handle. In fact, the methods are still quite rough in Luke's view. Perhaps in the other party's eyes, he, who has great power, doesn't need to be so cautious, as long as he can get by on the surface, then he has no worries.
What this idea brings is his unscrupulousness. Especially the things in Purple Man's memory, Luke didn't add fuel to the fire, he just compared the intelligence information that Purple Man had, and some things he collected from Roxxon's intelligent system, which was relatively mentally retarded to the White Queen, and unified them together, playing a trick of killing people with a borrowed knife.
It's not often that there is an opportunity to use a tool person like Nick Fury who is easy to use and doesn't cost money.
As for that base, almost all of the people inside were brainwashed Hydra agents, and Luke had no pity for these people.
I think that for a long time in the future, that unscrupulous Mr. Dario Agger will be unable to protect himself, and he will not be in the mood to add obstacles to his energy plan.
Especially now that Luke's research has just made a new progress, he has no intention of wasting his precious time on intrigue and deceit. Originally, these things should have been handled by Ina Sandra in the past, and her methods may be more fierce in business. But since he has a good method here, Luke doesn't mind doing it easily.
“Let Snoke come over.”
Luke gave instructions to the White Queen.
“Mr. Snoke has been notified, and it is estimated that it will take ten minutes for the other party to arrive at the laboratory from the training ground.” The White Queen, who was monitoring the entire industrial park, quickly gave the answer.
Ten minutes passed, and Snoke had already walked in. Jessica Jones, who had been in Hebron for several days, also came in with him.
“BOSS.” Snoke stood next to Luke, and when he saw his eyes fall on Jessica Jones next to him, he explained: “Jones has been following us for training these days, and she plans to join the security department of Hebron. I think she is very good.”
“Stay in Hebron?” Luke didn't care. After all, Jessica Jones' life has been very miserable. Of course, Luke would not force her to stay if she wanted to leave, as long as she kept some information confidential for the time being. But if she wants to stay, Luke won't drive her away.
“I can fight very well.” Jessica Jones looked around, and then strangely took out a solid metal rod from the clothes on her back, which may have been used as a weapon. Under Luke's eyes, she used her arms to bend it into a U-shape.
Luke looked at her speechlessly. He didn't know what was so good about this performance.
“I have no home to go back to. My parents died in a car accident, and my adoptive parents were killed by me under Purple Man's control.” Jessica Jones' voice trembled a little later.
“I remember you were a high school student before you met Purple Man.” Luke asked.
“I'm an adult.” Jessica Jones thought Luke was referring to her being underage.
“Forget it, you will get a job.” Luke planned to throw the other party to Ina, who was about to return, anyway, this was her management scope, and Jessica Jones had also experienced the memory review of synesthesia. His eyes turned to Snoke next to him, and he took out a glass syringe from his pocket. The tube was transparent, and a starry blue liquid was flowing inside.
“Science Fiction Particle - Weapon Meme, a new enhancement, would you like to experience it?”
PS1: Today's chapters will not be divided and finished in one go.
PS2: This book is not an invincible flow at the beginning, but a slow upgrade flow. This is the keynote of this book. In addition, I know the current American comic trend, comics and anti-hero anti-American side. But I still want to add more of my own things here, such as my request for the company to replace the official and lead and manage the heroes. Of course, except for the main line, other parts of my outline may be changing. Therefore, some readers say that with Luke's talent, he is still so aggrieved, why doesn't he do this or that, and I can't understand it. What is he aggrieved about? The development I set is to take it slowly. Don't quarrel about this kind of question in the future. I don't want to change the outline.
P.S. Next week is the fourth round of recommendations, which is the so-called 'competing for Sanjiang' recommendation. It's generally quite difficult for the multiverse genre, so I hope that those who are following this book this week and are willing to continue reading will read the latest chapters more and vote, etc. Whether it succeeds or not, it's likely to be on the shelves soon. The author will try to save up a few chapters these days and see how to add more updates at that time. If anyone wants the author to add more updates.
