The same company car.

"Sixty percent? Ha, how dare he even say that?" Tony Stark said sarcastically in the car.

They had just left the cocktail party, and the discussion with Dario Agger was not pleasant, to say the least, ending on bad terms. Although the reason Luke and Tony came here was not to seek cooperation, there was no doubt that Dario Agger's greed exceeded their expectations. This wasn't just a simple case of price gouging, but an attempt to suppress Stark and Hebron, directly allowing Roxxon to become the leader in the new energy company!

"So we left, didn't we?" Luke also witnessed Dario Agger's extraordinary greed.

What Roxxon Corporation offered was indeed a rare and generous pie for a new company. If it were someone with only technology and nothing else, they might have been overjoyed and agreed. But unfortunately, whether it was Stark Industries or Hebron Technologies, their funds, technology, manpower, and connections could all be handled and managed independently. This made Dario Agger's seemingly generous conditions not very helpful in reality.

Of course, if it were someone with only technology and nothing else, Dario Agger probably wouldn't have asked for just sixty percent; he had plenty of means to demand one hundred percent.

"Agger will definitely try to stop us in every possible way next." Although Tony said this, he had a smile on his face. Although he had restrained much of his personality after experiencing death, that untamed spirit could not be suppressed or worn down.

"You don't need to worry about obstacles in the right direction; Ina and Miss Potts can handle them very well. But Dario Agger doesn't seem like a proper and law-abiding businessman. If I were you, I would increase the protection around the people you care about." Tony Stark's eager fighting desire made Luke feel relieved, but out of caution, he still reminded him.

...

"As you expected, both of them rejected my proposal."

In a dimly lit room, Dario Agger held a phone and said to the person on the other end of the line.

"..."

"Of course I won't give up. This is a technology that can seize a huge amount of wealth! It must be in the hands of Roxxon, or rather, in my hands!" Dario Agger's tone was filled with a strong possessiveness.

"..."

"You also need to put in some effort, at least to create some obstacles for them on the official level."

"..."

"I don't need you to guarantee one hundred percent success, and I never expected you to suppress Stark and Hebron. I just want them to know that refusing me will come at a greater cost."

"..."

"What will I do? Do you know my methods and philosophy for running Roxxon?" Dario Agger grinned, revealing a chilling smile. "I have never had a bottom line in my actions, and I have always used any means necessary. Just like you."

"..."

Dario Agger hung up the phone.

"Where's Purple Man?" he asked in the dimly lit room.

"You're looking for him?" A male voice sounded in the darkness.

"Find him and give him a mission. Have him approach either Stark or Luke, and use his ability to control them, making them hand over the energy technology they possess. If he can do it perfectly, the reward will be very high this time. Very high," Dario Agger instructed.

...

A hotel room.

"This is the target for this mission." A man completely covered in a black cloak handed out an envelope.

The man known as Purple Man, whose real name was Zebediah Killgrave, and whose skin had a purplish hue, took the envelope and tore it open roughly, pulling out a pile of photos. The photos clearly showed Luke Field, Tony Stark, as well as Ina Sandra and Pepper Potts.

"Wow, look who we have here? The famous inventor Iron Man Tony Stark, and the other one, Luke Field." Purple Man flipped through the photos in his fingers, clicking his tongue and feigning surprise with a smile.

"They have each invented a new energy technology. Your mission is to obtain them," the cloaked man said, stating the mission requirements.

"What's the reward?" Purple Man put down the photos and looked at the man, who was completely wrapped up, wearing a cloak that even had a gas mask peeking out, with eyes filled with icy laughter.

"Sixty million dollars," the cloaked man offered.

"Too low!" Purple Man shook his head in dissatisfaction. "This is the new energy technology that has been making headlines recently. Even people who don't understand technology can know how much profit they will generate after these days of media coverage! Sixty million dollars?" Purple Man curled his lips and smiled contemptuously.

"How much do you want?" The cloaked man was not surprised by Purple Man's dissatisfaction, but instead asked him what price he would accept.

"At least one billion dollars, and some shares in the new energy," Purple Man demanded a high price.

"Shares are impossible, Killgrave, but considering our many previous friendly collaborations, and the friendly collaborations we will continue to have in the future, I can give you fifteen billion dollars! Provided you bring me the technology!" A voice familiar to Purple Man, with a unique electronic tone, sounded from inside the cloaked man's cloak. Clearly, the mastermind had been listening to the conversation through a communicator.

"Roxxon's technical methods," Purple Man irritably found the signal jammer that he didn't know when he had tampered with and threw it away.

"So, do you accept this mission?" the voice with the electronic tone asked again.

"Of course," Purple Man nodded affirmatively. "I will make them hand over their technology willingly. I will contact you then." Purple Man said confidently, and the cloaked man immediately placed a large safe on the table.

"Sixty million dollars, deposit. The password is the same as before," the cloaked man said.

"Very good." Purple Man skillfully opened the box and checked it. He didn't lack money. With his ability, he could have a lot of money. But that money would definitely bring him trouble. And Roxxon's money was easy to earn and had no worries. This behemoth would protect him like a trump card, allowing him, a wanted criminal, to enjoy everything in any city without being disturbed by the authorities.

Of course, the biggest reason was that he couldn't beat the current leader of Roxxon, that pervert named Dario Agger. For the sake of his life, he could only accept the other party's employment conditions.
