American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#248 - Galaxy: Convergence, Disintegration, Power

The mechanical giant's seemingly clumsy body and slow movements were actually quite swift. General Corvus Glaive and his companions barely had time to run far before the chilling sense of danger behind them made their bodies numb.

The hammer, shimmering with a purple aura, slammed into the ground. The metallic surface, as if made of paper, turned into flying ash and fragments. Centered on the point of contact between the hammer and the ground, a ring-shaped shockwave swept outwards.

General Corvus Glaive and his companions had no time to escape further. They realized that their lives had reached a critical point of life and death, and they all used all their power to resist the sweeping purple shockwave.

General Corvus Glaive was the first to face the shockwave. He didn't even have time to turn around, and could only use all the power within his body to construct layers of defense behind him. However, his hastily made defenses crumbled instantly under the shockwave containing the power of the Infinity Stone. The purple torrent swept over him, and his body was cut like flesh under high-speed rotating blades, festering with blood and flesh beneath the skin. After the flesh was worn away, his bones were exposed, and eventually he disappeared into the purple torrent.

The Peerless Blade, along with the death of its master, was thrown far away by the shockwave, spinning as it landed and pierced into the ground.

Supergiant used her powerful telekinesis to create layers of heavy mental barriers around herself. With her mental strength, the mental barriers she erected could easily withstand the main gun of a civilization's mothership. However, facing the purple shockwave, she couldn't help but feel a darkness before her eyes, her mind reeling and shaking as if struck by a hammer.

But she gritted her teeth and persevered. Even though her mind was on the verge of collapse, she stood firm like a boulder splitting the waves, barely managing to avoid the fate of her companion, General Corvus Glaive, whose body was completely annihilated.

Ronan didn't hesitate to use the ultimate ability of his universal weapon – the "Time-Displacement Field." He used the weapon to shift the time around him, bringing himself into the torrent of time, skipping past the dangerous moment, causing him to disappear from the spot and evade the surging shockwave.

When the danger dissipated, Ronan's somewhat disheveled figure reappeared on the field.

Yondu and his companions in the distance almost turned around and ran. However, by the time the shockwave reached them, its destructive power had been reduced significantly compared to the central area. Even so, the Ravager group, whose physical or technological defenses were insufficient, suffered another wave of casualties. This made Yondu once again regret coming to Knowhere and participating in a battle that they shouldn't have been involved in.

[This is the power of a god!]

Inside the mechanical giant, Raitar, whose nanite wings connected tens of thousands of data chips and served as the brain, felt the immense power surging within this mechanical body, and couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.

He controlled the range of the energy explosion to the surrounding area, without letting it wreak havoc in more distant areas. As the predecessor of the Chitauri, he was bloodthirsty; the rules and culture of the Chitauri were like that.

But after being converted into a God-Machine, he still disregarded life, but would no longer casually engage in planet-level massacres. Because the Lord needed life, needed a large amount of life to provide him with energy and inspiration.

With this mechanical body comparable to the power of a god, it was enough to tear apart this metal "planet" called Knowhere. It was difficult to control his power so as not to cause irreversible damage to this planet.

Especially since the data transmission in his mind made him understand that this was not a complete Mechanical Apostle, but more like a test version used for verification. The real Mechanical Apostle, whether in terms of size, power, or utilization of the Infinity Stones, was at least one dimension level higher!

"Go! We have to leave!"

Yondu stood up from the ground, covered in dust. He had just laid flat on the ground, reducing the area of impact, and after withstanding the aftershock, he jumped up from the ground, spat out a few mouthfuls of dust, and said anxiously.

"Where to go?" Star-Lord also jumped up from the ground. When it came to running away and saving his life, he was better than Yondu. "The entire Knowhere is sealed off, and there are flying ships everywhere."

"Did you notice? Those mechanical bodies were all separated into fragments, and then became part of that mechanical giant and the mechanical bodies around him. This is a matter for their group! The other party also obtained the Orb. This is none of our business! Compared to the Kree Empire and the Black Order, we are just a bunch of insignificant trash. As long as we seize the opportunity to rush out, they won't bother to encircle us." Yondu said quickly as he swung his arms and ran back the way he came.

Speaking of which, they had rushed here to save their lives, and now they were running away from here to save their lives. This dramatic scene made the Ravagers who were running back along the way feel a little strange. But they still ran as fast as they could.

"Let's split up to find flying ships, and then meet up to see what happens." Star-Lord wanted to take the opportunity to get rid of Yondu and his companions.

"Don't think about running away, kid. I've suffered a big loss this time, and you have to find a way to compensate me." Yondu saw through Star-Lord's plan at a glance, moved closer to Star-Lord, and threatened, "If you dare to leave my sight, I'll give you a yaka arrow. You know I mean what I say."

"I still have a few partners, and I can't leave them behind. I'm not thinking about running away alone." Star-Lord saw Yondu pull open his coat, revealing the yaka arrow pinned inside, and raised his hands to signal.

"I'll go with you." Yondu said without hesitation.

……

"Let's join forces, otherwise we may die here." Ronan gasped for breath. Using the ultimate ability of the universal weapon to walk in the torrent of time was also a huge burden on his body, which had been modified many times. He couldn't use this ability as a regular power. The universal weapon couldn't handle it, and his body couldn't handle it either. Moreover, although the universal weapon had the function of absorbing cosmic energy to supply itself, the power of absorption was also limited, unless it was inlaid with an infinite energy source similar to the Infinity Stone, otherwise it would not be possible to use its powerful abilities at will.

Supergiant didn't speak, just nodded with a solemn expression. She wasn't afraid of death, and even longed to embrace death, but the premise of death was that it had meaning and was unique. Moreover, she couldn't die yet, and still needed to provide her master Thanos with intelligence and information. When needed, her powerful mental power could connect to Thanos's mind, allowing him to see everything she saw.

"Where are the other three of the Black Order?" Ronan looked at the mechanical giant and subconsciously wanted to find more helpers.

"Proxima Midnight has lost contact. This situation should be that she has fallen into some unknown space fragment or dimension. My mind cannot connect to her. Black Dwarf, that incompetent guy, is being hammered into the ground by a strange life form. Don't count on him. Ebony Maw, he can come over to help. The cage that is trapping him is about to break. He told me that he needs a little more time. As for the Chitauri and Outriders brought by The Other, I am already mobilizing them to gather here. But don't expect them to be of any help. It is the greatest role and significance they can play to buy us a little time as cannon fodder," said Supergiant.

As the two major legions of the Black Order, the Chitauri and the Outriders were not as incompetent as Supergiant said. At least compared to the legions of other civilizations in the universe, they could be said to be on par. Especially the Outriders, who had been subjected to various gene modifications and possessed various abilities, were numerous and powerful enough to make ordinary civilizations turn pale and have a headache.

They were biological weapons that Thanos had created after collecting the genes of various races in the universe. The Outriders could always play a considerable role in large-scale wars. Although their brains were not very good, they were powerful, obedient, and could understand simple commands, and were not afraid of death, which was considered qualified.

In the past, Supergiant alone was enough to easily wipe out an army. Her mental control and telekinetic abilities were a great threat to any life form. However, facing the mechanical giant, her proud ability was severely hindered and sealed.

[Data: Sandbox Space]

The purple energy core in the chest of the mechanical giant vibrated, and the purple light overflowed throughout its body, like a mist of purple light lingering around the mechanical giant.

The entire Knowhere was included in the coverage area of the sandbox space.

At the moment when the sandbox space opened, Supergiant's face changed drastically. She found that she had disconnected from her master Thanos. She could no longer communicate with her master and let him borrow her perspective. Her mental tentacles could not even leave this Knowhere. This unprecedented situation made her understand that she had probably entered a strange space. Even if it looked like they were still in Knowhere, in reality, they might no longer be in the original universe.

What made her guess this was Proxima Midnight, who had been disconnected before, but was now reconnected.

A golden light shot from the distance, and when the golden light landed, it revealed Proxima Midnight's tall body.

"Where is Corvus Glaive?" Proxima Midnight didn't see her lover and asked Supergiant. Her face was a little ugly. Before, she had been trapped in a circular, looping space. No matter which direction she left in, she would eventually return to the same place. When she thought that she could solve this dilemma by solving the Translator, she was disgusted.

The Translator's combat power was not strong, at least compared to her. She could easily abuse him. But the disgusting thing about the Translator was that this form of life had no so-called vital points. It was a pure damage accumulation type of physique. Unless a certain amount of damage was reached, even if you stirred his heart into pieces, it would be useless.

He would not bleed, would not have wounds, and had no restrictions such as the limbs of other lives leaving the body. Cutting off the other party's hands and feet could only be regarded as bringing damage to the Translator, and not really making the other party lose his hands and feet. Attacks on vital points such as the heart and head were the same.

If it was just like this, it would not be anything to Proxima Midnight. She could not kill with one blow, but she could still cause damage. As long as she attacked for a period of time, this life form similar to a data form would still die.

But the disgusting thing was that the other party had almost terrifying recovery power in this space! Before the damage you caused had time to accumulate, the other party had already recovered. Your attack was not even as much as the other party's recovery.

Proxima Midnight used various methods, and even went all out, disregarding her body being injured, and broke out thousands of attacks in an instant, wanting to achieve instantaneous accumulated damage with high-frequency attacks, but it was still to no avail. The other party's recovery speed did slow down, but it could not give the Translator a real fatal injury.

So Proxima Midnight was disgusted. She couldn't kill the other party, and the other party couldn't beat her, but she couldn't leave either. Proxima Midnight had fought for Thanos for so many years, and had never encountered such a disgusting battle.

So after suddenly re-sensing Supergiant's mental connection, she almost couldn't wait to rush over in the direction indicated by the mental connection. Sure enough, this time she didn't enter that damn loop, and successfully met up with Supergiant. And she was surprised to sense many other life auras, instead of the emptiness and silence of before.

"Be careful!" Supergiant didn't have time to answer, and mentally controlled Proxima Midnight's body, pulling her towards her side.

A huge hammer landed in the place where Proxima Midnight was before, and the hammer body like a hill fell on the ground. This time, Raitar didn't hold back at all. Under full power operation, the purple halo on the hammer was so strong that it seemed to form a solid state. The hammer body smashed into the ground, and half of the hammer's body sank into the ground. The energy on the hammer directly penetrated into the depths of the earth.

The entire Knowhere began to tremble like an earthquake. At the center of the energy burst, the ground directly cracked, and deep cracks cracked on the ground, and then expanded with a click, forming deep abysses.

The energy shock wave mixed with the vibrating sound wave swept across the ground of Knowhere. Looking down at this area from a high altitude, it was directly like being directly flattened by a circular stamping hammer from a high altitude. All the buildings were swept away, and layers of metal pillars began to break. The brain marrow that the Celestials were collected and sold as rare minerals fell like a torrential rain to the lower layers.

The entire Knowhere began an irreversible separation and fracture from the center as if it had been split open by an axe. Next, what they had to face would not only be the mechanical giant, but also the various natural disasters brought about by the disintegration of Knowhere!

"Madman!" Ronan and his companions continued to raise their bodies, looking at the messy scene and the ground that was still collapsing and cracking, shocked and devastated. The other party's attack almost destroyed this Knowhere, causing it to begin to tear and disintegrate from the inside!
