American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#245 - Galaxy: Heart of Power [Part 1/Happy Holidays]

“That's the Dark Quadrant fleet! Space is already blockaded; we can't escape!” Gamora, looking distraught, steered the stolen Necrocraft around, heading back to Knowhere as she watched the sky light up with countless gun muzzles.

“Find Yondu and Drax!” Star-Lord suddenly announced from his position inside the stolen multi-person spacecraft.

“Find those Ravagers?” Gamora turned her head to look at Star-Lord. Rocket Raccoon also looked at Star-Lord, wanting to hear his opinion.

“Right now, Thanos and Ronan are working together. If we want to break through, we have to gather more strength! Let's find Yondu first. The Ravagers' strength can't compare to Thanos and the Kree Empire, but they can help us break through! Drax can also help us,” Star-Lord said through gritted teeth.

If he had other options, Star-Lord wouldn't want to go back to Yondu. He had finally managed to escape Yondu's Ravager crew and had made a big deal behind their backs. According to the Ravagers' rules, this behavior was equivalent to betrayal.

Perhaps Yondu wouldn't do anything to him temporarily out of a sense of shared hatred, but once they successfully broke through, Yondu would definitely settle the score with him. His crisis would still exist then.

But Star-Lord couldn't care less right now; he just wanted to get out of this dangerous place that was about to become a battlefield.

“What about the Collector? Is he just letting Ronan's people run wild on his territory?” Rocket Raccoon patted the armrest of his seat.

“I don't know him well enough; it's hard to say whether he'll stand with Thanos or with us. Unless Thanos and his people have a conflict with him over the Orb,” Gamora said, her eyes lighting up.

Star-Lord immediately assigned tasks: “I'll find Yondu, you find the Collector, and Rocket, you and Groot find that big oaf who got us into this mess. After that, we'll find a place to meet up!”

“Okay, okay, it's always like this,” Rocket spread his hands helplessly. “Ever since I met you, nothing has gone smoothly for me!”

“But you made a lot of money!” Star-Lord reminded him.

“Yeah, a lot of money! But now I can't spend it!” Rocket grunted twice. After arriving at a certain area, he and Groot unfastened their seatbelts, jumped down, and dragged his gun, which was frighteningly large compared to his size. He looked back at the two of them at the open hatch, shook his head, and jumped down. Groot held up a cloud umbrella made of branches below, gently catching Rocket Raccoon, relieving the impact, and then the branches weaved into a slide, allowing Rocket to bounce down with his small steps.

“Wow, the big oaf is really miserable,” Rocket Raccoon grinned after finding Drax and seeing him lying on the ground like a corpse. They were currently hiding behind a building sign, and in front of them, a group of Kree soldiers were fiercely exchanging fire with swarms of flying drones. Rocket patted Groot's leg, and when Groot looked down at him, he pointed to Drax lying on the ground.

Groot, who had a perfect understanding with Rocket, immediately crouched down, his palm extending forward close to the ground, and vine-like branches spread towards Drax. As soon as the first branch touched his body, it instantly wrapped around his limbs and body, silently dragging him towards where they were hiding.

“Looks like he's not dead yet.” Rocket took out an instrument to check Drax's body and found that his physical condition was extremely good, without even a scratch on his body, only his consciousness was in a coma. He made room and tilted his head, signaling Groot to wake Drax up.

Groot immediately extended a finger, the tip of the finger as sharp as a needle, and directly stabbed it into Drax's chest. It seemed that Drax's tough skin, formed under the erosion of energy, was as flimsy as paper.

Then Drax woke up with a start, as if startled from a nightmare.

“Stop, it's us!” Rocket had Groot stop Drax, who wanted to attack.

“Where's Ronan?” Drax looked around, earning a kick full of anger from Rocket.

“Ronan, Ronan! Do you know how much trouble you caused us by attracting Ronan! Look outside, it's a mess! It's all because of you! We're now blockaded in this damn place, surrounded by enemies! We're in big trouble, you know?” Rocket kicked Drax's calf repeatedly, angrily.

“What is he doing?” Drax didn't care about Rocket's kicks; the force was painless to him.

“I'm saying you've brought me huge trouble! Is your brain full of muscles?” Rocket kicked Drax harder, but instead, his own leg hurt.

“Listen, I don't care what kind of deep hatred you have with Ronan! We must unite now and find a way to leave here first!” Rocket said, looking up and gesticulating.

“Ronan killed my wife and children!”

“Who hasn't had someone die?” Rocket's expression was still fierce, but his tone subconsciously softened a little. “We'll all help you get revenge, but the prerequisite is that we have to get out of here alive! Thanos's men and Ronan are united, and we can't deal with them now.”

……

A red light, accompanied by a song-like whistle, pierced through the vital points of the Kree, Chitauri, and flying drones. When the whistle stopped, Yondu grabbed the red light that flew towards him.

It was an arrow-like weapon. At this time, those drones and enemies pierced by the arrow seemed to recover from the paused picture and fell to the ground, exploding into sparks in mid-air.

[It is recommended to collect more unknown material data or prototypes]

[The factory has produced and deployed high-level mechanical forces into Area C11]

Leto Atreides's brain was like a high-speed server. Data from the entire Knowhere was converging on him. With the help of the surrounding virtual intelligent systems, he had to accommodate and see a massive amount of data in a second.

All the machines manufactured by the factory were his eyes, ears, and external senses to perceive all information around him. Where there were machines, there would be no data blind spots for him.

He saw Yondu's wonderful comeback, and also saw him collect the unique arrow into his arms. He also saw Star-Lord, the key target this time, approaching Yondu.

In addition, he did not invest more computing power and attention. He had already scanned and detected that the Orb was not in Star-Lord's hands, but was calling to him in another direction. Although this strong call quickly became faint, he could still determine its location.

Two powerful life forms were also rushing in that direction. In this race against time, he would of course rush towards his target.

“Yondu!” A single Necrocraft stopped in front of Yondu, the hatch opened, and Star-Lord jumped down from it.

“Aha, look who it is?” Yondu saw Star-Lord stride forward, grabbed his collar, looked around at the surrounding Ravager gang, and said with gnashing teeth.

“I know you're angry, but don't be angry. Calm down, listen to me, okay?” Star-Lord raised his hands under the guns, and persuaded him in a dry voice.

“Talk nicely? My Ravager mothership has lost its signal! She's ignoring us! All our spaceships have betrayed us, gently throwing us down, and cruelly twisting the drivers into meat paste, turning into these messy machines! As partners who once shared life and death, they now want to kill us! And these Kree and Chitauri, how much trouble have you caused?” Yondu roared angrily.

“I didn't!” Star-Lord loudly defended himself: “I just made a big deal, the Orb! And Ronan and those people are also looking for it. They weren't brought by me!”

“What about these ghost things?” Yondu kicked a broken machine head at his feet hard.

“That may be another group of people competing for the Orb. They had a conflict with Ronan! Listen, the space outside is completely surrounded. No matter what problems we have between us, I suggest we postpone them until we leave safely. Now we should become a family again!” Star-Lord shouted.

“There's no family like you who screws over their own people!” Yondu spat fiercely. “Because of you, my Ravager army, which I accumulated for most of my life, has suffered heavy losses! Look at my beloved spaceships, all turned into a pile of rebellious mechanical garbage! My mothership may even have been captured.”

“We can start all over again! As long as we have money! Selling that Orb will give us money!” Star-Lord, seeing the fierce light in Yondu's eyes, hurriedly said something very insincere with heartache.

The roar of the machines, from far to near, interrupted Yondu and Star-Lord, who wanted to continue communicating. The two looked vigilantly at the sky, and saw a pile of strange-looking mechanical swarms pressing over again like black clouds.

“Quick, we have to leave here.” Star-Lord subconsciously wanted to return to his single Necrocraft.

“Don't go there! They have the ability to assimilate and infect machines. The intelligent system of your spaceship may have been manipulated!” Yondu grabbed Star-Lord, while waving to signal the Ravagers to hide, and ran away.

As he said, after a while, the single Necrocraft that Star-Lord brought joined the mechanical force unmanned, and launched a merciless deadly attack on its former driver.

“Run forward! There's a battlefield there!” Yondu led the people to run wildly in the mechanical jungle, followed by a swarm of machines. The Ravagers' firepower did not do much damage to those machines, but a wave of mechanical fire brought them great harm. So after a group of people died, the rest learned to be smart, opened the shields on their bodies, no longer fought back, but ran wildly with their heads down.

They had to bring the disaster to another battlefield! This experience of being hunted could not only be enjoyed by them!

Besides, only with more partners could they increase their survival rate under the pursuit of these machines, right? Anyway, they didn't have many friends and allies here, and most of them were even enemies, so of course they could do whatever they wanted to screw them over.

In the process of running away, Yondu also took action several times, eliminating a wave of mechanical pursuers, but that was all. Those broken machines would soon be recycled, extracted, reprocessed, and assembled by the virtual factory.

Endlessly.

They could not be killed completely.

Yondu and the others had realized this.

More profoundly, not to mention the intensity of the mechanical firepower that was chasing them, the other party did not seem to have the idea of killing them all in one wave, but the metal strength of the machines was constantly increasing.

Yondu's indestructible whistle arrow even had a bit of lag when penetrating those mechanical bodies. This was something that would only be encountered when facing the materials of mothership-class ships.

The perception cultivated by years of Ravager career made Yondu keenly aware of some abnormality, but under the pressure of imminent life and death, this sense of strangeness was quickly suppressed by the pressure of life and death.

[Whether to consume energy to make experimental products

[Energy has been consumed to make Yaka whistle arrow]

[The control sound source of the Ravager leader's original sound has been made]

Four whistle arrows made of sound-sensitive metal were processed and transmitted to Leto Atreides's side. The melodious whistle, along with the whistle arrow control system fins manufactured at the same time, shuttled and intertwined into a red net in front of Leto Atreides.

The Kree soldiers, Chitauri soldiers, Outriders, and those chaotic people who survived in Knowhere, all fell to the ground and died violently in the whistle.

In the end, the only ones standing on the field were a few shivering lucky ones who did not attack Leto Atreides and had no malice towards him, as well as two extremely powerful monsters, and the Kree Accuser Ronan.

“God Machine?” Ronan frowned as he looked at Leto Atreides, who was like a mechanical angel. If it weren't for the Universal Weapon in his hand, he would have found those whistle arrow attacks fatally tricky. He was not sure whether the strength of his body, which had been modified many times, could withstand the other party's whistle arrow attacks and survive.

“Where's Ebony Maw?” Another of the two extremely powerful monsters, a gloomy man holding a long blade in his hand, said. According to the plan, they should have been the two to find the Power Stone and take it back to Thanos. And Ebony Maw and the others were responsible for solving the God Machine who was notified to come here.

“I feel it, the energy fluctuation of the Power Stone.” Leto Atreides ignored Corvus Glaive and Ronan, his eyes looked at the top floor of the opposite building, which was also where the Collector was.

Space rippled like wrinkles in front of him, Leto Atreides's body loomed in front of everyone, but just as he was about to escape into the space, another space force disrupted the surrounding space, forcing Leto Atreides to reappear from the space.

Leto Atreides frowned slightly as he looked at the three people surrounding him. Under the support of his hands, countless metals gathered above his head, and the mechanical sound roared and sang here again. A huge traction platform appeared in mid-air.
