American comics: Starting from the Dimensional Demon

#173 - "Let me wake you up!"

A bullet slammed heavily into the wall, creating a small crater.

The owner of the steel hand seemed startled. A flash of fire erupted beneath his feet, and with a whoosh, he soared into the vast, rainy night.

Whish!

Rainwater struck the ground, splashing up in droplets.

After a long while, a military boot splashed through a puddle, and a black man with the air of a soldier emerged from the dark corner.

Colonel James Rhodes holstered his gun and looked at the poor fellow on the ground who had fainted from fright. He then silently raised his head, gazing at the distant sky.

Icy raindrops fell from the sky, landing on him. Pulling out a cell phone, he murmured to himself.

"Tony..."

......

Time waits for no one.

Nick Fury hid outside, not daring to return to S.H.I.E.L.D., and could only urgently contact Captain America, Steve, and Deadpool.

Coulson and Hawkeye wanted to come, but they had encountered some troublesome matters and had to stay behind.

During this time, Pepper Potts personally visited Old Man's Antique Shop and met the benevolent Tony there. She found the feeling of being loved in this Tony and resolved to merge the two into one.

As for Valon's men, after the attack on the antique shop, they did not reappear, seemingly temporarily abandoning the place due to only possessing half of the Tiger Talisman.

Compared to them, the evil-sided [Tony] was having a much better time.

His new armor was complete, and the Stark Industries armor factory was being built with full support.

He even boldly declared that he would make this era the era of Iron Man, and that in the near future, everyone on Earth would be able to wear Iron Man armor and travel freely among the stars.

That's right, he was confident that he alone could advance Earth's technology to the space age!

And while his arrogance, conceit, and narcissism earned him more criticism, they also made more people look forward to the era he spoke of!

To this end, he specifically found a venue that could accommodate tens of thousands of people to host a grand futuristic party.

Party scene.

As the white armor descended from the stage with its hands held high, the fans in the audience screamed and cheered, waving their hands and celebrating the arrival of Iron Man.

Click.

Flipping up the mask, Tony spread his arms wide and shouted to everyone in the audience, "Cheer! Let us celebrate the future!"

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Huge fireworks exploded around the stage, instantly igniting the atmosphere.

"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Tony--!!"

"Future! Future!"

"Iron Age!"

"......"

The crowd cheered loudly, the massive roar almost lifting the roof of the venue.

The dancers on stage quickly walked down, and some pre-prepared white armors strode onto the stage. Controlled by Jarvis's intelligent program, they even began to dance to the rhythm of the music.

And you have to say, these armors moved in perfect unison, hitting every beat with incredible precision, with every centimeter of their raised hands being almost identical.

[Tony] raised his hands high, clapping to get everyone in the audience to get hyped up!

The people attending the party were adorned with various mechanical components, and they looked at [Tony] with fervor, believing in his ability and that he would definitely be able to advance this era.

"I believe it too!"

Wearing a red skintight battle suit and swinging his pink women's long hair, Deadpool's outfit was still a little bit flashy in this crowd of bizarrely dressed people.

"Alright, Deadpool, we're here on business, shut up."

With cyberpunk makeup on her face, Natasha wore a black skintight suit, dressed very attractively.

"Hey... don't you guys think so?"

Pointing at the crowd of people cheering wildly around him, Deadpool spread his hands and said.

"If you ask me, we shouldn't stop him. With Tony's abilities, I believe we'll be able to enter the space age in our lifetime!"

"From the perspective of technological development, that's indeed the case, but only from the perspective of technology."

Looking at the lively atmosphere, Chen Long, wearing a black tuxedo, tightened his grip on the Rabbit Talisman. To some extent, he agreed with a small part of Deadpool's opinion.

"If it were a normal development, I would agree with your statement."

Captain America, Steve, who was already strangely dressed enough, did not make any disguise. He seriously glanced at the three and said in a deep voice.

"But this [Tony] is the evil side split from the power of the Tiger Talisman. According to Old Man, he inherently lacks the part of goodness. I can't trust a plan promoted by someone like that!"

"Okay, Captain, maybe... you're right."

Shrugging his shoulders, Deadpool nodded. He had seen the benevolent Tony at Old Man's Antique Shop, and his lack of confidence and even cowardice had shocked him.

Considering that this was the effect of the Tiger Talisman splitting, the evil side would only be more extreme.

Thus, the four of them began to slowly squeeze forward with the movement of the crowd, having already agreed on a plan of action for this day.

[Tony] had a habit of going offstage to interact with fans. When the time came, Deadpool and Steve would restrain [Tony]'s body, and then Natasha and Chen Long, using Old Man's concocted potion, would take out the half of the Tiger Talisman from [Tony]'s body.

This plan was simple and crude, focusing on speed!

They had considered everything, striving to avoid any accidents......

Bang!

An accident... came!

They stared blankly as the stage shook and a silver armor appeared on it.

"Rhodey, your appearance is truly a surprise. I thought you wouldn't attend this party?"

The arrival of his old friend made [Tony] stop dancing. He turned around and greeted him with a smile.

With a cold face, Colonel Rhodes stared at him without saying a word, his eyes filled with disappointment.

"I saw what happened that night, and I also investigated what happened that night, Tony Stark, you... have disappointed me greatly!"

He took out a photo and threw it away casually.

Silence.

Watching the photo stick firmly to his hand, Rhodey repeated the action he just did with a blank expression... throw, and throw again.

"......"

That photo just loved his big hand so much, it wouldn't let go.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward.

The few people under the stage looked at each other: "What is this guy here for?"

Scratching his head, Deadpool was amused: "This old brother, I'm embarrassed for him~"

"......"

Perhaps giving up, Colonel Rhodes grabbed the photo and awkwardly walked over, silently stuffing it into [Tony]'s hand.

"Here you go."

"Uh... thanks."

After thanking him, [Tony] looked at the photo in his hand.

The white armor stretched out its right hand to grab someone's face, and a bright palm cannon began to gather energy. In the gloomy rainy night, that feeling... was like he was going to kill the other person.

"The gunshots that night, it was you!" [Tony] was a little surprised, but not flustered.

"It was me."

Colonel Rhodes, who had quietly returned to his original position, took out a cell phone and shook it. The video on the screen was exactly what happened that night. He had drunk a little too much that night, and bumping into this matter was completely an accident, but... it was still captured in his recording.

"The Tony Stark I know is arrogant and narcissistic, but he wouldn't do such a thing to ordinary people, so......"

The palms of his raised hands began to glow with white light. The armor code-named War Machine was already prepared.

The audience under the stage thought it was a pre-arranged program and cheered loudly.

In such a noisy environment, Colonel Rhodes precisely transmitted his voice into [Tony]'s ears.

"Let me, wake you up!"
