A ruined Hogwarts
Chapter 29 Ms. Gray
The light and fluttering tarot cards slowly fell to the ground. One person and one ghost looked at each other, and the surroundings were silent.
"Then...do you know who I am?" Ms. Gray stared at Owen with a probing tone.
"Since you say this, does it mean that Ms. Grey, you allow me... to peek into your mind with restrictions?" Owen said politely, his eyes confident and sincere, "Of course, if you don't want to, there's no need to worry. . I have always been a person who abides by the rules and will never wantonly explore the deep secrets in people's hearts."
"Tell me, who am I?" Ms. Gray said firmly.
"Well, if that's what you expect..." Owen bowed gracefully, stroking his chest, "Ms. Helena Ravenclaw."
At this moment, Ms. Gray's expression completely lost her composure, and she took a big step back, farther away from Owen.
Her identity should be known to only two people in Hogwarts, or rather, two ghosts. Besides herself, another person who knew the story was the Bloody Barro. She despised him, but knew that he would never tell anyone. Perhaps many years ago, there was a young man of similar age who got this news from her through sweet talk.
Ms. Gray looked at the boy in front of her and couldn't help but compare it with the boy from many years ago. The same elegance, calmness, and personability, the same youth, handsomeness, and likability. They looked so similar, yet completely different. At least that person had never had this kind of magical power to penetrate the soul and the contradictory charm of being flamboyant yet restrained.
A very mysterious person, but surprisingly not annoying.
"So, what is your purpose?" Ms. Gray restrained her arrogance, and her expression and tone became serious and cautious.
Mutual respect and equality are the prerequisites for in-depth exchanges and cooperation.
Owen smiled brightly and stopped beating around the bush: "Ms. Gray, do you know about the truth fax machine that appeared in the castle?"
"I know," Ms. Gray said succinctly. "Are you interested in it?"
"Yes, I need to find it and ask it a question. I think no one is more proficient in how to find something in Hogwarts than you." Owen stopped the smile on his face and looked at each other with a sincere expression. With hazy silver eyes, "I don't expect you to tell me the first time you find it. I understand that everyone has questions that they want answered, and everyone has the right to get answers."
"What I hope is that if you find it for the second time, and you happen to plan to tell someone about the news, please give me priority." Owen said calmly, "After all, everyone can only use it once a year. …”
"I don't expect to rely on it to answer any of my questions. It is meaningless to the ghost." Ms. Gray looked at him and seemed to smile, "However, there happened to be a student from my college who took this matter before you. Please ask me."
"That's it," Owen showed a helpless expression, and then said seriously, "Then please allow me to line up!"
The smile on Ms. Gray's face deepened: "I promised, I will consider you as soon as possible."
She paused, and then said in a voice so low that it was almost inaudible: "Because you are the first to think of the fact that ghosts also need answers."
"Please allow me to express my gratitude in advance, Ms. Gray." Owen bowed again, "At this time every day, I will wait in the small room next to the auditorium on the first floor."
"By the way, let's get to know each other formally," Owen extended his right hand, "Owen Shafiq, please give me your advice, Ms. Gray."
"Please give me some advice... Owen." Ms. Gray stretched out her silver-white palm and touched his palm slightly, then withdrew her hand.
Without the feeling of touching each other, Owen felt as if his palms were immersed in a cloud of cold water vapor, and a chill spread quickly along his palms.
The atmosphere became a lot more harmonious. Owen picked up the suitcase he had placed on the ground and asked in a relaxed tone: "Ms. Grey, I heard that the ghosts of Hogwarts often gather. Can I be lucky enough to attend one?" ?”
"You want all the ghosts to be your eyes and ears?" Ms. Gray looked at him with a smile, easily seeing his undisguised thoughts, "Then you must be prepared to hit a wall."
"I'm still a little confident in communicating with people." Owen said with a smile.
Ms. Gray nodded slightly: "I can invite you to our next gathering, which will be at nine o'clock tomorrow night in the classroom on the far right of the basement floor."
"It's a pleasure, Ms. Grey," Owen said.
He took out his wand and recited a magic spell to the tarot cards scattered on the ground. Each card jumped up from the ground lightly, and flew back to his hand like a baby swallow.
Next, Owen said goodbye to Ms. Gray, and continued to explore along the established route under the gaze of her calm eyes.
Later, no more surprises appeared. Owen searched all the way to the seventh floor, and the hands of his pocket watch pointed to one o'clock in the morning. He was mentally prepared to end this exploration and quickly returned to his dormitory.
The lights in the dormitory have been extinguished, and the water in the black lake is rippling slightly, casting gentle and soothing dark green water ripples in the circular room, becoming the only light source here.
After his eyes adjusted to the extremely dim light, Owen saw a dark figure sitting at the round table in the middle of the dormitory. It was a bit scary to see him suddenly.
Owen looked closely and realized it was Draco Malfoy. He looked at Theodore's bed again, and as expected saw a pale face peeking out from the curtains... Okay, this one was more terrifying.
"You're still up so late?" Owen put his unused suitcase back in its place.
"At midnight, we realized that neither you nor Harry were here." Draco said in his characteristic slow tone, "I didn't expect that you were also interested in that sensational rumor? I thought only Harry, a fool, would do that. Tempting..."
"He hasn't come back yet?" Owen glanced at Harry's four-poster bed, and it was no surprise that the boy would sneak out to join in the fun.
"I thought you were with him." Draco glanced at Owen arrogantly, his gray eyes shining in the darkness, "I'm here just to give you a piece of advice. Next time I do something like this It’s best not to hide it from us when it happens, lest the dean blames me for not taking good care of you after you are caught.”
"Don't worry, it won't affect you." Owen said funnyly, "As long as you don't go out and get involved in this matter like us."
"I won't believe this silly joke." Draco raised his chin even higher, "But you'd better ask me for my opinion before you go out next time, even though I don't want to go with you anyway. , but if you are sincere, I can’t help solve some troubles.”
"If you want to go, just say it. It's so convoluted that it's hard for me to understand." Owen said jokingly.
"I don't want to go!" Draco jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"Okay, I get it." Owen said, taking care of himself.
After he climbed into bed, Harry arrived belatedly. Judging from the somewhat disappointed expression on his face, it was obvious that he had gained nothing.
Owen yawned, closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
