Chapter 86: Festival
&n&n heard the trio's affectionate conversation on the stairs, but Harry complaining loudly.
"Then why is Dumbledore so eager to keep me in the dark?" Harry asked, still trying his best to keep his voice indifferent, "Have you — um — bothered to ask him Woolen cloth?"
"We said to Dumbledore, we'd love to tell you what's going on," said Ron. "We did, man. But he's so busy right now, We've only seen him twice since we got here. He didn't have much time, he just asked us to make sure we didn't tell you anything important when we wrote, and he said the owl might be intercepted halfway."
"If he really wants, he can still tell me the news." Harry said rudely, "Doesn't he know there are other ways to send letters besides owls?"
Hermione glanced at Ron, then said, "I thought about that too. But he just doesn't want you to know anything."
"Maybe he doesn't think I can be trusted," Harry said, watching their expressions.
"Don't be silly," said Ron, looking a little panicked.
"Or think I can't take care of myself."
"Of course he didn't think so!" said Hermione anxiously.
"Then why do I have to stay at the Dursleys while you two are involved in everything that happens here?" , "Why are you both allowed to know everything that happened?"
"No!" Ron interrupted. "Mum wouldn't let us go into their meeting place, she said we were too young—"
Harry cried out involuntarily. "It's such a shame you didn't make it to the meeting! But you've been here, haven't you? You've been together! And me, I've been stuck at the Dursleys for a whole month! But I've been through There's more to you than you both, Dumbledore knew it all - who kept the Philosopher's Stone? Who got rid of Riddle? Who saved the two of you from the Dementors? Who was it? Saw that guy come back to life? Who had to escape his clutches? It was me!"
Gwen took Ginny's hand, she felt it was not a good time to go in, she didn't want to be affected by Harry's anger, but Ginny looked anxious and sad.
"I've been stuck on Privet Drive for four weeks, picking up newspapers from dumpsters just to find out what's going on - and it's my home! Sirius' home! What! It's time to become the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix!"
Harry was pacing the room, panting hard. Hedwig screamed sullenly from the top of the closet. There was a long silence, save for the mournful crunch of the floor beneath Harry's feet.
"Now, can anyone please tell me what the Order of the Phoenix is—"
"It's a secret society," Hermione said quickly, "it's in charge of Dumbledore, who founded it. It's all the people who fought You-Know-Who last time."
"Some of them are recruiting more people into the Order of the Phoenix—" Hermione said.
"There are also people who are on guard for something," Ron said. "They've been talking about what the guard is doing."
"It's not protecting me, is it?" Harry said sarcastically.
"Oh, that's right," said Ron, a look of sudden realization on his face.
Harry snorted contemptuously. He paced around the room again. "So what are you two doing lately, since you're not allowed to attend the meeting?" he asked. "You said you've been busy."
"It's been busy," said Hermione hastily. "We gave the house a thorough cleaning, according to Mrs. Weasley's standards. We finally cleaned the kitchen and most of the bedrooms. Well, I figured I'd have to deal with the parlour tomorrow - oops!"
Pop, pop, with two harsh pops, Ron's twin brothers, Fred and George, suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. Piglet squeaked even more frantically, and flew over to rest on top of the closet with Hedwig.
"Hello, Harry," George said, smiling happily at Harry, "We seemed to hear your sweet speech just now.
"You don't have to suppress your anger like that, Harry, let it out," Fred also smiled, "There are probably two people listening to it fifty miles away. I don't see your voice."
"So, you two passed the Apparition exam?" Harry asked sullenly.
"Excellent," Fred said, holding something like a long flesh-colored string in his hand.
"It only takes thirty seconds to go down the stairs," said Ron.
"Time is Galleon," Fred said. "Anyway, Harry, you're interfering with reception. Retractable ears," he explained when he saw Harry raise his eyebrows said, and raised the string, Harry saw it leading all the way to the outside landing, "We were just about to hear what was going on downstairs."
"Let's go in, Ginny." Gwen felt the atmosphere in the room was much better, and pushed the red-haired witch and let her go ahead of him.
"Oh, hello, Harry!" Ginny said happily, "I think I heard you."
It must be admitted that Ginny is taller and more beautiful than last year, just like a smart girl. Harry involuntarily twitched the corners of his mouth when he saw her - which Gwen interprets as a furious smile.
Gwen also quickly greeted Harry. Compared with the more intimate Ron and Hermione, Harry couldn't be angry without any scruples in front of others, so he It finally calmed down a bit.
Ginny turned to Fred and George again, and said to them, "The retractable ears don't necessarily work, but Mommy put an anti-disturbance spell on the kitchen door."
"How do you know?" George asked, looking downcast.
“Tonks told us how to verify,” Gwen said. "You just throw something at the door, and if something doesn't touch the door, it means you've recited the anti-jamming spell."
Ginny said, "I kept throwing big **** on the door at the top of the stairs, but they all flew away from the door, so it was impossible for the retractable ears to get under the door."
Fred sighed deeply.
"Unfortunately. I really want to know what that old fellow Snape is up to."
"Snape!" Harry asked immediately, "he's here too?"
"Yeah," George said, closing the door carefully and sitting on a bed. Fred and George followed. "Read a report. Top secret."
"Stupid," Fred said lazily.
"He's on our side now," said Hermione reproachfully.
Ron snorted. "That doesn't mean he's not stupid. Look at the way he looks at us."
"Dumbledore trusts him." Gwen said reluctantly.
"Even if you say good things about him now," George squeezed Ginny aside to sit next to Gwen, "it won't change the fact that you're taking advanced potions next term—and he won't forgive you."
Gwen covered her face in frustration.
"Bill doesn't like him either," Ginny said, as if that was the final word.
Harry's anger seemed to be out, and now he couldn't wait to know more, and this desire overcame his urge to yell. Or maybe he thinks Gwen is more pitiful than he is now. He sat down on the bed opposite the others.
"Bill is here too?" he asked. "Isn't he working in Egypt?"
“He applied for an office job so he could go home and work for the Order of the Phoenix,” Fred said. "He said he misses those ancient tombs. But," he smiled mischievously, "it makes up for it."
"What do you mean?"
"Remember that Fleur Delacour?" George said. "She got a job at Gringotts to improve her English—"
"Bill has been giving her a lot of individual coaching." Fred giggled.
Gwen was a little surprised, "Mrs. Weasley always wanted Tonks..."
"Charlie joined the Order of the Phoenix," George interrupted her, "but the others are still in Romania. Dumbledore wanted to recruit as many wizards as possible from abroad, so Charlie was not at work. Have extensive contact with people.”
"Can't Percy do that?" Harry asked. As far as he was last aware, the Weasleys' third son worked in the Ministry of Magic's Department of International Magical Cooperation.
Listening to Harry's words, the Weasley brothers and sisters exchanged a melancholy and meaningful look.
"You must never mention Percy in front of Mom and Dad," Ron said nervously to Harry.
"Why?"
"Because every time Percy's name was mentioned, Dad smashed everything he was holding and Mom burst into tears," Fred said.
"It's horrible," said Ginny sadly.
"I think we got rid of him at last," said George, with an unsightly look on his face. Gwen stroked his back like a cat.
"What happened?" Harry asked.
"Percy and Daddy had a big fight," said Fred. "I've never seen Daddy fight like that. It's always Mommy."
"It was the first week after term," Ron said. "We were getting ready to join the Order of the Phoenix. Percy came home and told us he was promoted."
"Are you kidding me?" Harry said.
"Yeah, we were all surprised too," George said, "because Percy got into trouble with Crouch.
