Chapter 47: Festival
Laugh out loud.
Gwen was busy laughing, and at the same time did not forget to call Colin to quickly record this beautiful picture, she will use this photo to laugh at the twins for a lifetime.
"I warned you," said a low, amused voice, and everyone turned to see Professor Dumbledore coming out of the auditorium. He looked at Fred and George, his eyes twinkling. "I suggest you both go to Madam Pomfrey. She's already nursing Miss Fawcett in Ravenclaw and Sarah in Hufflepuff. Mr. Moss, and they both made up their minds to age a little. But I must say, their beards are far less beautiful than yours."
Fred and George left for the hospital, and Gwen went with her, still laughing. The students who were later admitted to the medical wing - he even drank the age-enhancing agent that the twins had sold him at an exorbitant price - brought them new news of their registration.
"Slytherin's big sloth was thrown in, and Hufflepuff's Diggory, but he probably wouldn't want to risk his good looks in my opinion. "
"What about our academy?" Gwen asked, pulling off a few of George's white beards.
"Angelina did it."
She is a tall, dark girl who works as a Chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. One year older than Gwen, he was a classmate of the twins.
"Ah, I'm so glad! The witch of Gryffindor signed up and I really hope she'll make it," said Gwen. "But is she an adult?"
"Her birthday last week." Fred snorted.
"No wonder." Gwen nodded, "Does your tooth hurt? Fred?"
Fred had a frustrated look on his face.
Mrs. Pomfrey was quick to fix the twins' white beards so that they could appear at the dinner table in decent form before the Halloween dinner.
When they entered the candlelit auditorium, it was almost full. The Goblet of Fire has been moved. It was now standing in front of Dumbledore's empty chair on the staff's desk.
"I hope it's Angelina." Fred was speaking to George and Gwen as Harry, Ron and Hermione sat down.
"Me too!" said Hermione, holding her breath. "Ah, we'll find out soon!"
Halloween dinner seems to be taking much longer than usual. Finally, the golden plate returned to its original spotless state.
"Okay, the goblet is about to make a decision," said Dumbledore, pulling out his wand and giving it a wide swing. Immediately, except for those candles in the jack-o-lantern, the rest of the candles were extinguished, and the auditorium suddenly fell into a state of semi-darkness. The Goblet of Fire was shining brightly now, brighter than anything in the entire auditorium, and the blue-and-white flames of sparks were dazzling. Everyone is watching and waiting...
A tongue of flame from the goblet shot up into the air, and a piece of charred parchment flew out from it—all the people in the auditorium held their breaths.
"Durmstrong's champion," said Dumbledore in a clear and forceful tone, "is Victor Krum."
"No wonder!" Ron shouted, as applause and cheers swept the auditorium.
After a few seconds, the flames turned red again. The second parchment leaped out of the cup, propelled by the flames.
"The champion of Beauxbatons," said Dumbledore, "is Fleur Delacour!"
It's her, Gwen glanced at the veela-like girl and pouted in disapproval. Then I prayed for Angelina in my heart, hoping that she could thwart the spirit of the beautiful girl Beauxbatons well in the game.
At this point, the Goblet of Fire turned red again, sparks splattered, and the tongue of flame rose high into the air, and Dumbledore drew a third parchment from the tip of the flame.
"The Warriors of Hogwarts," he exclaimed, "it's Cedric Diggory!"
The cheers on the adjacent table were deafening. Every Hufflepuff classmate was jumping up and down, screaming and stomping. Katie had gone to comfort her teammate Angelina, though Gwen saw that the strong and brave Gryffindor girl didn't need comfort at all.
Dumbledore was concluding his speech when suddenly the flame in the goblet turned red again. The sparks crackled and sputtered. A long tongue of flame suddenly jumped into the air, and a piece of parchment was held on it.
Dumbledore stretched out a slender hand as if subconsciously and grabbed the parchment. He held it far away, staring at the name written on it. There was a long silence, Dumbledore stared at the note in his hand, and everyone in the auditorium stared at Dumbledore. Then, Dumbledore cleared his throat and read aloud—
"Harry Potter."
After the four Warriors left, Gwen and other students were asked to return to their dorms. She wanted to ask the twins about Bagman now, but they were apparently still disturbed by the news of the fourth note.
Until a long time passed, Harry returned to the common room.
The sudden noise in his ears made Harry almost fall on his back. Then, he was dragged into the common room by about a dozen hands, facing the whole class of Gryffindor House. They were all screaming, cheering, and whistling.
"You should have told us you signed up!" Fred yelled. He looked half exasperated, half excited.
"How could you pass without a beard?" George shouted.
"I don't," said Harry, "I don't know how—"
Angelina swooped in front of him in a whirlwind, "Oh, if not me, at least one of Gryffindor—"
"You can take revenge on Diggory for the last Quidditch match, Harry!" screamed Katie, who was also part of the Gryffindor team. Chaser.
"We've got something to eat, Harry, come and have some—"
"I'm not hungry, I ate enough at the banquet—"
But no one wanted to hear him say he wasn't hungry, no one wanted to hear him say he didn't put his name in the goblet, and no one seemed to notice that he wasn't in the mood to celebrate …Lee Jordan churns out a Gryffindor flag out of nowhere and insists that it wraps around Harry like a cloak. Harry couldn't get out, and whenever he tried to sneak up the stairs to the dormitory, the crowd moved towards him, surrounded him, forced him to drink another butterbeer, or shoved biscuits and peanuts into his hands. Here...everyone wants to know how he did it, how he tricked Dumbledore's age line into throwing his name into the goblet...
"I don't know," he said over and over again, "I don't know what's going on."
But everyone ignored it, as if he didn't say anything.
"I'm tired!" After about half an hour, he finally couldn't take it anymore and shouted, "No, seriously, Fred—I want to go to bed—"
Finally, he got rid of the crowd and hurried upstairs to the dormitory.
The students in the common room disbanded when the protagonist was absent.
"Let's go," Gwen was happy for Harry, but apparently not so excited himself. "Let's find a place to talk, what are you hiding from me lately." Then she looked around again. "Where did Ron go? Why didn't he come to the celebration?"
Fred slipped out of the lounge, "I'll go see our little brother."
And George ran up the stairs of the boys' bedroom with his long legs.
Gwen felt that she was in a very impetuous mood today. She didn't intend to bear the Weasley brothers who were escaping, so she picked up her robe and trotted after him.
When she sneaked into the twins and Lee Jordan's dorm, George happened to be the only one in the room.
"So you want to talk here?" Gwen raised his eyebrows, "I don't mind. Come on, George, why are you writing to the Director of Sports at the Ministry of Magic? He Why are you avoiding you?"
"...Probably we want to find a job with him after graduation?" George said defensively, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Do you take me for a fool like Crabbe and Goyle?" Gwen was a little angry. "Is there anything you can't tell me?"
"Gwen, it's not a big deal. Fred and I can handle it, we're a year older than you." George said angrily.
"Isn't it important? You guys have been selling new products like crazy lately. After class, the two of you always don't know where to hide. George, you won't have any big trouble, will you? ." Gwen took a step forward, a little sad and worried, her head almost resting on the red-haired boy's chin.
At this moment, there was a sudden rush of heavy footsteps towards the door of the dormitory, and Gwen was shocked. The body's center of gravity was unstable, and he fell on George at once. Fortunately, the Gryffindor Quidditch player was strong and agile, and he grabbed Gwen's wrist, and the two of them fell on George's soft bed.
He yanked the drapery over to cover his four-poster bed, and pulled up his thin quilt to cover them both. The footsteps had come to the door, slammed it open, it was Fred.
Gwen breathed a sigh of relief, and was about to sit up from the bed to greet him, but George held her down firmly. He wasn't going to give Gwen a chance to get any information out of his brother's set.
Fred called out, "George? Are you there? I didn't find Ron outside."
George made a muffled sound from under the quilt: "Then why don't you go to his dormitory?"
Thank goodness Fred heard this
