Chapter 40: Festival
--at least in Gwen's eyes--expertises an incredible array of housekeeping magic.
A knife to cut vegetables by yourself, a frying pan that you turn over by yourself, and eggs that line up and jump into the pan.
If it weren't for the friends who were still worried about the road, Gwen would have wanted to hold his face and admire it in fascination.
However, until the breakfast was cooked, they did not appear on the distant ferret mountain.
After only a few hours of sleep, Mr. Weasley woke the children in the camp. He magically stowed the tent into his backpack, and they left the camp as quickly as possible.
In the twilight of dawn, they passed through the village of Autry-San Catchipole and walked along the wet path towards the Burrow. We didn't talk much along the way, because we were all so tired, we just wanted to eat breakfast quickly. They turned a corner, and the Burrow appeared, with a shout from the path.
"Oh, thank goodness, thank goodness!" Mrs. Weasley had apparently been waiting for them in the front yard when she ran towards them, wearing the slippers she wore in the bedroom. She was pale and nervous, clutching the crumpled Daily Prophet in her hand.
There was also a chestnut-haired witch who was slightly taller than her, and George recognized who it was at the first moment, he paused, turned to ask his twin brother. "Am I wrong, or is that our busy Gwen?"
Fred said sourly, "I saw it too, you're not crazy."
"Arthur—I'm so worried—so worried—" Mrs. Weasley put her arm around Mr. Weasley's neck. "You're all fine," Mrs. Weasley said in shock Saying, let go of Mr. Weasley, looking at them one by one with red eyes, "You're all alive... oh, son...".
To everyone's surprise, she grabbed Fred and George and gave them a hard hug. She used so much force that the twins' heads banged together.
"Ouch! Mom—you're strangling us—"
"I was yelling at you before you left!" said Mrs. Weasley, crying, "I've been thinking about this! The last thing I said to you was to scold you for doing magic tricks? Oh, Fred...George..."
"Okay, okay, Molly, we're all fine." Mr. Weasley comforted her, pulled the twins out of her arms, and led her to the Walk around the house. "Ah, Miss Ollivander." He asked the question everyone wanted to ask, albeit bluntly. "Why did you come here?"
"I...I'm a little worried about them," Gwen vaguely scratched the pile of red heads and Harry and Hermione, only to find that Sirius was actually standing next to Harry, "On the newspaper It's too vague..."
Mr. Weasley took the newspaper from Bill and glanced at the first page, Percy looking over his shoulder. Blake also looked at the "Daily Prophet" with a solemn expression, he greeted everyone, and then whispered to appease Harry for a while, and hurriedly Apparate.
Gwen was about to make some strong tea for everyone, when George took the teapot and settled it with his stolen wand, floating it onto the table.
"You came alone?" George looked at Gwen from top to bottom, and Gwen stared at him carefully.
"Fortunately you are all right." Gwen finally felt relieved.
"We're fine, but you're like this again, Gwen." George frowned, "What did you promise me in the medical wing at the end of last term?"
"Come on George, I just got one foot into the fireplace in the store and the other out of your house. And I'm not sealed behind the fireplace wall."
After speaking, the two fell silent for a while, then burst out laughing together.
George hugged her with his long arms, and Gwen felt like she had never been hugged so many times in her life.
"Okay, Gwen, thank you for agreeing to my invitation." Then he looked around the Burrow, "and no present."
"Actually I brought it," she picked up a white creature as fat as a pillow from her bulging wizard robe. Then Dian Dian ran to find Hermione.
"Dog!" Hermione barked happily, she took the fat cat with great effort.
"It's so gloomy this holiday," Gwen looked at the dog pitifully, "you know who it's thinking."
"Crookshanks is probably in the garden outside," she said, "chasing the goblin, it's never seen anything like that before."
Gwen gave the dog a wink, allowing her to pursue the **** kitten.
After a while, Gwen saw Crookshanks and the dog outside the window, hurried about the garden, their bottle-brush tails high on end, chase something. The thing was so muddy it looked like a potato with legs. Less than ten inches tall, sturdy little feet clattered swiftly across the garden and into one of the Wellington boots scattered by the door. Crookshanks put a paw in his boot, and the goblin giggled wildly inside. The dog barked happily outside.
Ginny slid over from the side, "Gwen, will you be staying here tonight?" She was a little taller than before, her beautiful red hair glowing softly.
"I can't, darling," said Gwen regretfully, "I sneaked out while Mr. Garrick was out, and to be honest, I should have gone back when you were all well. ."
"Okay," Ginny was a little disappointed, "I thought I could have a bedtime chat at night, between girls."
"When you get back to the dorm," Gwen promises, "we can chat every day."
Gwen felt a little strange to see Harry's face particularly bad. When the adults were busy talking about business before dinner, they took the twins to find three friends.
"Harry, I thought you had a great holiday?"
"It's really good," Harry nodded. "Sirius' house is very interesting. I've seen a lot of old pictures. I also played Quidditch with them a few times, except for his domestic support. Elf…"
Gwen felt his voice fade as he spoke of Quidditch and the elf. Only then did they learn from Ron and Hermione that the Dark Mark of the World Cup actually came from Harry's wand. The suspect is the house elf of the director of the International Magical Cooperation Department.
"Damn joke." If he hadn't heard it with his own ears, Gwen would have thought it was some bad rumor. "Why does the elf have to use a wizard's wand to cast spells - just for the skull of a man-know-how? How do I remember that man's attitude toward elf was nasty."
"Yes!" Hermione agreed loudly, "Elves have been exploited all the time, especially during that time."
Both Ron and Harry showed painful expressions, as if Gwen had brought up a sensitive topic that shouldn't have been brought up.
"I can look at the wand for you, Harry." Gwen diverted her attention at the right moment, though she didn't know who she had offended. "If your wand is used by another wizard - or a elf - for bad things, it will affect you as well."
"That's right," Fred and George said as they crossed their shoulders, "Miss Ollivander has been doing a holiday drudge, checking wands every day."
Harry handed Gwen the wand he had seen by many people, and reminded her, "They used the Flashback Charm."
Gwen was not surprised, of course the Ministry of Magic would investigate that vicious spell. She raised her wand, turned it over before her eyes, and examined it carefully. "Made of holly, eleven inches long, with a phoenix tail."
Then she saw that no parent was paying attention, and fiddling with a baton quickly, the wand spewed many red and gold sparks.
"No big deal, Harry," she said, "but I don't think the person who cast a spell with this wand last time was an elf."
Everyone is a little excited now.
"How do you know it's not Wink?" Harry couldn't help asking.
Gwen probably guessed their doubts, "The staff at the Ministry of Magic may not see it, but Ollivander must understand." She felt the wand with the ball of her finger, "this is Garrick's wand, if you let him see it, he'll say the same. Harry, if a wand is used by other wizards, it might resist. As far as I know, the Dark Mark is very rare magic, Not many people know that spell. And of course it's black magic..." She put her wand to her ear again, as if she could hear something. If it wasn't for Harry and Gwen who had known each other for years, they might now think of her as a lunatic.
"I don't know who it is, but it must be a wizard very different from you." Gwen showed a disgusted expression, "Evil, dirty wizard, but powerful. "
Then she handed the wand back to Harry. "Take care of it, Harry. Never lose your wand. It's a little off." Harry blushed. " Maybe you have to coax it lately, I remember giving you a wand cloth before?"
Now both Fred and George knew what she was going to say, and Gwen was always nagging at them.
"The wand is supposed to be part of the wizard's body..." Fred began.
"...it can save your life at a critical moment." George ends it perfectly.
Gwen turned to the two of them with his hands on his waist, "I almost forgot how smart you are. I knew I should have given you a few more review tasks last year, maybe
