Chapter 161 Undead
Most members of the Scourge are composed of various corpses, so the body shape is basically the same as that of the race, but many of the surface skins have been rotted and damaged, and even the bones can be seen.Low-level undead don't have much thinking ability, they just obey the orders of their superiors by instinct, stronger and elite fighters can think normally, but they don't have free will - all their thoughts are based on serving the Scourge Up.

This is one of the reasons why the Scourge is so powerful. These undead have no fear of dying again, and each fall is only temporary unless the body or soul is completely destroyed. They obey only the Lich King and his capable generals, unleashing their deadly power on the battlefield.

Areas of Influence: Azeroth, Northrend, Lordaeron
Frostmourne Everyone knows about the Scourge, and they have been preparing for the arrival of the Burning Legion. The Lich King, once an orc shaman (surprising it was an orc shaman, right?) named Ner'zhul, sent an undead plague upon Lordaeron with the help of the Alliance's fallen mage Kel'Thuzad .This attack plunges the population into chaos: some are infected by the plague and strangled by it, then rise again as rotting zombies (or worse); others are forced to watch graveyards riot against those they once loved Resurrected as a monster. The Lich King then set out to corrupt the beloved Prince Arthas of Lordaeron.Using an elaborate plan, he, with the help of Kel'Thuzad, manipulated Arthas into applause and convinced him to kill his people in cold blood when he believed they were infected by the undead plague. In order to become powerful enough to save his people, he sacrificed his soul when he took up the powerful, corrupted runeblade Frostmourne. He became a death knight, murdered his father in cold blood, and claimed the throne on behalf of the Scourge. When the Lich King's power began to fade, Arthas arrived and shattered the Frozen Throne that imprisoned Ner'zhul. The power of the Lich King entered him, Ner'zhul merged with Arthas, and Arthas took the Frozen Throne as the new Lich King.So now he's the new Lich King, entrenched in Northrend where he fell.In any case, he was not sealed in ice like the previous Lich King. What we know is that he commanded the Scourge in Northrend and thousands of undead wreaked havoc in Lordaeron, the former Alliance land.

We don't really know what the Scourge's plans are now, but we're all terrified by the prospect of the increasing number of undead, powerful necromancers, and liches in our former homeland. It's one thing to fight on the battlefield and die like a warrior.Every day I gladly face death. But it's another thing to fight knowing that you won't be cleansed after death, but become a rotting creature. The Scourge is at war on everyone, the Alliance, the Horde, the Burning Legion, and even innocent bystanders. You might think that with so many enemies at war it would fail, but it doesn't.It thrives because they get the warriors we lost in battle.

However, natural disasters are not invincible.I've killed many, some of whom were my friends, and will kill many more. There isn't any human, tauren, or gnome, etc. that I know that doesn't do that.

We loathe having to desecrate the corpses of our own people to prevent their resurrection as a Scourge. Some people can't do it, and for some religious or emotional reason, they're dumb; it's better to chop off a friend's head after he's dead than to wait until he's up and looking at you.

Fighting the Scourge is what everyone in Azeroth supports.Simply repeating "killing" a creature doesn't do the trick though, as there are often necromancers in the rear to resurrect the damned.I like to chop them up and a couple of sharp axes will do the trick.Fire would also work well, since the ashes of the husks really don't make much of a useful army.People do not want to go back to the burned farmland and the skeleton of the house, but a burnt house is better than nothing.

We have the Knights of the Silver Hand on our side, but they suffered more than most in those days.Once at the pinnacle of civilisation, good, pure and light they will forever be ashamed that the mighty Lich King who sat upon the Frozen Throne was once among them. They wondered where they had gone wrong, why they hadn't discovered the evil tendencies that were clearly lurking in Arthas' heart. If he's a real paladin, like they are, there's no way he can be corrupted.I think they overestimate paladins, but I'm not going to tell them.

Even though paladins are still our most powerful weapon against the Scourge, using their holy power to overpower the undead, paladins are not what they used to be.Some fell into excess madness and formed the Scarlet Crusade, killing both living and undead in their desperate desire to eradicate the Scourge.Others followed Jaina Proudmoore across the ocean to fend off the Burning Legion and are now stationed in Theramore. They dutifully exterminated the undead found in Kalimdor, of course, but the Scourge there pales in comparison to Lordaeron and Northrend. We're going to need paladins to deal with the Scourge, but right now they're not up to the job, I don't know how much longer we'll have to wait.

Reports from Lordaeron state that the Scourge's current goals are to hunt down the few remaining resistance forces, destroy remote towns, and resurrect corpses in all Alliance cemeteries. Most importantly, they want to occupy the once liveliest country and turn it into a hell, subverting every useful person, dead or alive, who will be controlled by them.

Ner'zhul: Founder of the Scourge, orc shaman of the Shadowmoon clan.

Arthas Menethil: Prince of Lordaeron, who became a death knight after being corrupted by Ner'zhul.

Bolvar Fordragon: Regent of Stormwind, became the Lich King after defeating Arthas to control the actions of the Scourge.

invasion plan
The power of the undead plague does not come from Ner'zhul, but from the Burning Legion - the legendary army of demons that destroyed the world. Nestorism is the most attractive of the various dark arts of the Nathrezim kind of.Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, this guy can always learn from failures and perfect his new plans. In the last military campaign against Azeroth, Kil'jaeden used orcs (Archimonde satirized them as the pets of Kil'jaeden and Mannoroth), but due to Gul'dan's betrayal, etc. Cause ultimately fails. So this time, he thought of the mindless undead.
