Chapter 223 True Buddha Profound Spirit (2 in 1)

Chapter 223 True Buddha Profound Spirit (2 in 1)

On the top of the mountain, in the ancient temple.

A monk wearing a tattered cassock and an old monk's robe, his flesh and blood had dried up, completely devoid of vitality, and his pupils were empty stood up slowly from the futon.

"Master Xuanling, you have finally woken up."

Beside Xuanling, two little boys, a boy and a girl, stood quietly. The boy was dressed in black, and the girl was dressed in white. The two boys saw Xuanling get up, showing extremely happy expressions.

"You are…"

"Black boy and white boy."

Xuanling put one hand on his head and thought for a long time before he remembered who the two boys beside him were. The long sleep made his consciousness and memory very blurred. He had already forgotten many things, such as why I have to stay on Xiaoling Mountain all the time.

In his heart, he had always been eager to go out for a walk and experience the feeling of being alive, but in the end he didn't put it into action.

Because, there was always a voice in my heart telling him not to leave, otherwise something very bad would happen.

However, he really couldn't remember what it was.

"Black and white boy, how long have I been asleep this time?"

Xuan Ling looked at the two boys and asked.

"30 years, Master Xuanling, you have slept for 30 years this time."

The boy in black clasped his fingers and counted for a while before he spoke.

Xuan Ling was silent, as if caught in a certain mood, a somewhat blurred picture appeared in his mind...

"It's like this again..."

"I seem to have seen..."

"The sky is raining blood, and the world is full of corpses, just like purgatory."

Xuanling's expression suddenly became sad, and blood and tears flowed from his empty pupils, as if he was crying silently for all beings in the world.

"Master Xuanling."

Seeing this, the black-and-white boy hurriedly uttered a sound to wake him up from the emotion brought about by the hallucination.

"By the way, Centipede and Blue Goose."

"How are they?"

Xuan Ling also came back to her senses, changed the subject, and asked about the two little monsters who had always cared about her.

"Master Xuanling, they have been here before."

"However, you were sleeping at that time, so we didn't forcefully disturb you to wake you up."

Hearing the black and white boy's answer, Xuan Ling nodded, those two little monsters are really good, and they will remember to visit her after so long.

Halfway up the mountain.

A figure stood on the stone steps, blocking Fa Hai's steps.

This figure was a centipede in human form. He looked indifferently at Fa Hai who was about to walk to the top of the mountain step by step.

"Monk, you are too murderous, you are not welcome here."

"If you go any further, you will be completely purified by the cleansing mist on the mountain."

"Will die."

The corner of Centipede's mouth was raised, and he sneered. Looking at the arcs constantly jumping on the opponent, he knew that it must be because of the strong murderous aura emanating from this guy, and he was judged by the cleansing mist to be a demon.

Now it must be suppressed and purified by the power of the cleansing mist every moment.

I am afraid that there is not much left in his strength.

"demon…"

Fa Hai tilted his head, and there was a stream of light floating in his pupils, reflecting the real body of the person blocking the way. It was a big centipede demon with a thick bloody aura on his body, and innocent souls struggled and howled in its body. cry.

"Damn you..."

Fa Hai spoke indifferently and coldly, and the murderous intent in his heart became more intense, and he sentenced this monster.

"Ok?"

"Can you see through my real body?"

The centipede was startled. Logically speaking, it shouldn't be. The demonic aura on it has not leaked even a trace, and it is blinded by the same source of cleansing mist. Even if the true Buddha is alive, he will not treat it as a demon.

"Ha ha…"

"Put on human skin, do you think you are a human being?"

"The smell that belongs to demons on your body, the bloody smell on your body, even this coat made of cleansing mist, can't cover it at all."

Fa Hai sneered, stretched out a big hand, and held it in the air.

"Fahai, you are too much..."

Before the centipede finished speaking, a strong force brought it to fly in front of Fa Hai, and put its neck on Fa Hai's outstretched hand.

"Cough cough~"

"impossible…"

The centipede was terrified, and it was lifted by Fahai's neck.

"let me go…"

The centipede struggled, but to no avail. It was like a chick. It was only at this moment that it really understood why the blue goose came to warn him.

"I'm very curious. What I'm curious about is what relationship you have with the master of this cleansing mist."

"Without his permission, I'm afraid the cleansing fog here would have burned you to nothing."

"It is because of his permission that you can live well in this mountain without any influence."

"Even, you can use this place as a shelter."

"Because other ghosts and ghosts can't get close to here."

Fahai looked at the centipede with cold eyes, wishing he could kill him right away, but he still held back the urge for the time being.

"Delusion~"

"Who do you think I am?"

Centipede struggled to speak, even though life and death are now in the hands of others, he still did not let go of his pride as a big monster.

"Then die."

Fa Hai didn't talk too much, and a golden flame rose from his hand, igniting the centipede.

"what…"

The centipede howled in pain, the flames were not only burning its body, but also burning its soul, making it extremely painful.

"I said, let me go first."

The centipede begged for mercy regardless of its dignity, it didn't want to die.

"late."

Fahai ignored the centipede, no matter what, this monster must die.

The centipede's voice gradually became faint and inaudible, and finally disappeared completely, turning into wisps of smoke and dissipating.

"rest in peace."

Fahai raised his head and looked at the wisps of smoke and spoke, but he didn't speak to the dead centipedes, but the victims who entered its stomach.

However, what Fahai didn't notice was that a wisp of smoke didn't dissipate, but kept drifting towards the top of the mountain.

On the top of the mountain, in the ancient temple.

Xuanling was inexplicably lost for no reason, as if he had lost something forever. He raised his head and saw a wisp of smoke drifting up and dissipating in front of his eyes.

"what is this…"

Xuan Ling didn't understand, but he didn't think too much about it. His heart had already calmed down, and he wouldn't be easily moved.

Beside Xuanling, the black and white boys looked at each other, and they all saw some kind of joy in their eyes, but they all had a tacit understanding and didn't show it.

"Black boy, white boy."

"It seems that someone is coming up the mountain."

"Come out with me to have a look."

Xuan Ling's consciousness was released, and he felt a little happy when he felt someone came outside the ancient temple.

After all, he couldn't remember how long he hadn't seen a stranger.

However, thinking of his current appearance, he sighed helplessly in his heart.

I hope people will not be intimidated by me.

At the gate of the ancient temple, Fa Hai finally saw the owner of the mountain, because he just met the ogre monster on the mountainside, Fa Hai preconceived and gave him a low score, thinking that he must be a hypocrite.

He never thought that in his own eyes, the other party's soul was as clean as the mist that permeated the mountain.

After the two sides introduced each other and greeted each other, Fa Hai directly entered the topic and asked.

"Master Xuanling, I met an ogre monster on your mountain just now, it is a centipede."

"You know."

Fa Hai suppressed his smile, he had already done enough rituals, and it was related to the evil spirits, if the Xuanling mage couldn't give him a reasonable explanation.

He will destroy it completely.

"Demon? Centipede?"

Xuan Ling was taken aback for a moment, but then he realized that he opened his mouth quickly.

"Centured, you mean centipede?"

"It's not a human, but it's not a monster either."

"It is a spirit, a kind spirit, and has never harmed anyone."

Hearing Xuan Ling's justification, Fa Hai narrowed his eyes, and the killing intent in his heart was rising steadily.

"What, Master Xuanling?"

"Is it a demon, can't you tell?"

"It's not just a monster, it eats hundreds or even thousands of them, and they are all wronged souls."

"Master Xuanling, how can you bear it?"

Fahai's tone was serious, every word was heartbreaking, Xuanling's face was terrified, and his heart was shaking.

In his impression, Baizu and Lanyan are good children, how could they do such a thing, he doesn't want to believe it.

"Chan Master Fahai has evidence."

Although Xuanling believes in Baizu and Lanyan, it is not possible to completely veto Fahai's statement. As long as there is evidence, he can also follow the righteous path in the world.

Six parents do not recognize.

"Master Xuanling, why don't you take a look at my perspective."

Fa Hai raised a hand, and lightly pressed it on Xuan Ling's forehead.

"Boom~"

Xuan Ling only felt a muffled noise in his head, and then a picture appeared in front of his eyes.

"This is…"

Xuanling's pupils shrank suddenly, and there was a sharp pain in his heart. Through the perspective of Fahai's memory, he saw the depths of the centipede's body, clusters of terrible resentment, which were the faces of innocent souls.

Among them, there are many faces that he feels are very familiar, but he can't remember them.

"Ah~"

Xuan Ling couldn't help crying out in pain, her heart was full of sadness.

"Sad~"

Fa Hai let out a long sigh, he not only showed Xuan Ling his own memory, he also checked Xuan Ling's memory.

The memory that was buried deepest in my heart.

"It's pathetic..."

Even Fahai, who has gone through so many things, still feels sad and regretful for Xuanling's life.

"Master Xuanling."

The black-and-white boy looked at Xuanling's painful look, and was very worried, with a tangled and hesitant expression on his face.

"Don't worry, he'll accept the truth."

Fa Hai cast a reassuring look at the two boys, and then looked at Xuan Ling who was screaming.

"Xuan Ling, you forgot a lot of things, right?"

"Forgot why you came to Xiaoling Mountain."

"Forget why you can't leave."

"Forget what a centipede and a blue goose are."

"Forgot why I sheltered demons."

"Xuan Ling, do you want to remember? Remember everything."

"Even if the price is death."

Fa Hai watched Xuan Ling calmly, waiting for his answer.

Xuan Ling stopped screaming in pain at once, looked at Fa Hai with a pair of empty pupils, and finally nodded heavily.

Fa Hai pressed his hand on Xuan Ling's forehead again.

"Boom~"

Xuan Ling only felt a muffled sound in his head, and then pictures appeared in front of his eyes.

What appeared this time was the dusty memory deep in his heart.

When he was a child, Xuanling was separated from his parents due to famine and war, and was picked up by the abbot of the monastery for adoption, and has since formed a bond with the Buddha.

Later, that is, after he grew up, he left the monastery and went on a long journey alone to practice meditation and enlightenment to Buddha.

He traveled from one place to another, and experienced many experiences in the world of mortals along the way, and the Buddha's heart became more and more firm.

Finally, in his middle age, he chose to settle in a small deserted village.

Since then, his tragic life has ushered in.

He treats the villagers, and he only charges the cost each time, and even free of charge if he encounters difficulties.

During the famine and war, he swung a knife to drive back the robbers and soldiers, and saved the lives of the villagers. He would rather starve himself than distribute food to the victims...

His selflessness won the respect of the villagers and was regarded as a true Buddha.

Time flies, he is also getting old, and his physical condition is getting worse and worse. The villagers began to worry and fear, fearing that after he passed away, the village would have no shelter, and what would happen if there were natural disasters and man-made disasters in the future.

A villager said something inadvertently.

It would be great if Master Xuanling became a living Buddha, then he could protect us forever.

All the villagers looked at him in unison.

At that time, feeling the worry and fear of the villagers, he agreed to the villagers' words, promising that he would choose to become a living Buddha when his life was about to come to an end, and would always protect the villagers.

The villagers, however, had no objection.

Perhaps it was God's will. Not long after, Xuanling contracted a serious illness and his body collapsed. Feeling that his life might not be long, he prepared to become a living Buddha according to his promise.

The villagers did as he asked, put him in a wooden barrel, and buried him in the ground with only one pipe to breathe with the outside world. He would not eat or drink in the barrel until he died, so he turned into a living dead Buddha, can continue to bless the village and the villagers.

The villagers did as he was told, and he was locked in the dark underground, ringing the bell that meant he was alive, waiting to die.

As the days passed, the villagers seemed to be waiting for the news of his death in the barrel that the bell would no longer ring.

However, human beings' will to live is very tenacious, he still did not die, and in the small dark space, even his so-called "True Buddha"'s heart to Buddha and goodness was shaken.

He began to feel the fear and confusion that death brought him. He kept asking himself why he had to die after doing good deeds all his life. Why couldn't the villagers who he helped and respected him think about him?

He began to be afraid of death, but at the moment he regretted it, the bell in his hand finally fell to the ground, and it would never make a sound again.

However, it was because of such a moment of regret that the door to becoming a Buddha was closed to him, and his soul was forever imprisoned in the dark and confused.

Before that, his Buddha heart was flawless, like a bright mirror, but the bright mirror will eventually be stained with dust.

Dust falls, mutations occur.

Yesterday I was very uncomfortable and fell asleep directly~
