Fire Bearer at Hogwarts

Chapter 6 In Diagon Alley

Chapter 6 In Diagon Alley
"Did Dumbledore tell you that you need to come here to enter Diagon Alley?" Mr. Weasley pointed to the inconspicuous dilapidated bar in the distance.

"It's not...or maybe I forgot." Ash muttered, and as he approached the bar, he noticed that there seemed to be some kind of magic in the air.

"It's a powerful hidden charm... After all, we don't want those Muggles to find out here." Weasley said as he pushed open the old door, "Come in, Mr. Embers."

Ash nodded, instead of focusing on the strange magic, he pushed his sunglasses and followed Mr. Weasley in.

"Mr. Weasley?" The owner of the bar was taken aback for a moment, "Working in the Ministry of Magic?" He lowered his voice.

"No, old Tom..." Weasley smiled, and then he looked slightly sideways at Ash, "Mr. Ash Embers, the new professor at Hogwarts."

Tom was an old man with the shape of a sunken walnut, and his wrinkled face reminded Ash of those withered cypress pines in Rodland.

"Oh..." Tom looked at Ash, "Mr. Embers is really... very trendy."

Ash nodded and said nothing, which seemed even more strange to Tom...

"The new professor at Hogwarts?" Another voice came from the bar where there were not many people. This voice came from a sturdy man whose tall and strong body looked like a hill.

This hill is now walking over with strides, but unexpectedly, the man who looks fierce shows a kind and honest smile.

"I'm Rubeus Hagrid, Warden of the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts." Hagrid extended his broad palm to Ash in a friendly gesture.

Ash looked up at the little giant, his soul concentration was average... But thinking that he might be his colleague in the future, Ash still nodded, which was regarded as a greeting.

But Hagrid was different. He patted Ash on the shoulder in a hospitable manner, "What position are you applying for? Is it History of Magic?"

Ash shook his head, "It's Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

Hagrid froze for a moment, lowered his body and said, "Don't you know about that curse?" But before he finished speaking, Mr. Weasley quickly corrected him: "That's just a rumor..."

Old Tom shook his head and said nothing. It seemed that he believed the rumor a little bit.

"What curse?" Ash asked curiously. He had heard Som muttering before, but he didn't feel any difference. The soul and body looked normal.

Hagrid didn't speak anymore. Obviously, he was a little afraid of the curse, or the person who released the curse.

So, Ash looked at Mr. Weasley, who had the most souls, and he thought that this gentleman might know these things.

Arthur Weasley glanced at Hagrid with a headache, and finally sighed helplessly: "This curse comes from "Mystery Man"..."

"Mysterious man?" Ash muttered in his heart, but he didn't intend to ask Mr. Weasley.

"It was rumored that after he failed to apply for the position of professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts... he cursed the position." Weasley didn't want to make this rumor too scary, he thought it over and continued: "Since then... there has been no Professors have been in this position for more than a year ... when the year is up they are forced to leave for various reasons."

Ash nodded knowingly, whether he can stay for a year is another matter... According to his past experience, he may be able to leave in a few months, as long as he kills the fire lord of the world.

"But don't worry too much..." Weasley forced a smile, "Dumbledore is here."

"Yes! Dumbledore is the greatest wizard." Hagrid agreed.

Ash didn't agree with this. It's not clear if it's the greatest wizard, but it must be the greatest soul... If there can be the same soul... then saving the world is more certain.

Hagrid left after a few words, looking as if he was waiting for someone.

Mr. Weasley kindly took Ash to the inside of the tavern. Although it was empty, it was much better than the inside of the tavern. The dirty look there always made Ash feel like he was still in that dark world.

"Remember this trash can, Mr. Embers." Weasley pointed to the trash can in the corner, "Three from here..." He tapped with his wand.

"Then count two horizontally..." He took his wand and stopped on a brick covered with white spots, "This is it. This brick is the door to Diagon Alley."

Ash looked at the location of the trash can and said he remembered it.

Mr. Weasley tapped the brick, and the brick turned into a small hole while shaking, and the small hole gradually became larger, and finally formed a door.

Weasley smiled and said to Ash, "Welcome to Diagon Alley."

Seeing Ash's stunned look, Mr. Weasley felt a certain kind of cool feeling...pretending to be aggressive in front of Americans...a bit cool.

But he didn't know that the reason why Ash was stunned was because he felt countless souls... Lord Gwen... He almost couldn't resist pulling out his dragon scale staff.

His right hand lightly tapped the staff behind him a few times, and the eyes blocked by the sunglasses were reluctantly closed... You can't do anything here... In fact, although there are a lot of souls here, the combined amount may not be as good as Dumbledore's.

Ash restrained his desire, smiled and said, "It's a beautiful place."

It seemed that he was more satisfied with the praise of the word beautiful, and the smile on Mr. Weasley's face was even wider.

"Mr. Embers, shall I take you to buy what you need?"

Ash nodded, counting it as a thank you, and then followed behind Mr. Weasley, letting him lead him through the endless stream of Diagon Alley.

Soon, the two bought all the necessary items... Ash weighed the slightly heavy books in his hand, it seemed that he had done some research these days.

"Mr. Embers, if you still need any help, let the owl deliver the letter to the Burrow..." Weasley said and suddenly remembered something, he looked at Ash and said, "You don't have your own owl yet Right? Hogwarts has its own owl shack...but it's inconvenient not to have one."

Ash thought about it, and there really was no owl among his pets.

Looking at Ash who was shaking his head, Mr. Weasley sighed for a while. Fortunately, he remembered it, otherwise this would be a bit troublesome.

So, he took Ash into the crowd again, and finally brought Ash to the Yila Owl Shop.

"What kind of owl do you want to buy?" Weasley asked, looking at the dazzling array of cages here with a little envy, thinking of his own owl that was a little old and frail.

"Hmm..." Ash looked at these owls and was silent for a while. He didn't particularly trust this kind of animal that didn't look very smart...with weak soul power...but after thinking about it for the convenience of contact, he took a closer look. .

Soon, he fell in love with a gray owl with patterns. The biggest feature of this owl is that it is small... very small... about the size of his palm.

But its soul power is surprisingly high... Ash thought for a while, since he wants to raise an owl, it must be the best kind... There is also a white owl in the store, and Ash is actually quite fond of it This one, but the color is too bright, so I gave up.

"Have you considered it?" Weasley asked, he was afraid that he would buy one on impulse... Even if the eldest son graduated and worked this year, the financial pressure has eased, but when he thinks of Ron who will go to school next year... ...He felt the responsibility on his shoulders.

Ash nodded and pointed to the small owl.

Weasley looked at it carefully, "I think...it's just a little too small, maybe it will be troublesome to send letters and things."

Ash nodded, seeming to agree, and then he reached out and lifted the cage.

"..." So what are you agreeing to?Weasley had a few words to say, but seeing that Ash seemed to have made up his own mind, he didn't say anything to persuade him.

"Ten Galleons~" the owner of the owl shop said with a smile.

When receiving the Gallon from Ash, the boss also carefully told Ash how to raise the owl, "This is a very rare northern dwarf owl. Although the name doesn't sound good, I swear to Merlin, you won't find it. Smarter friends than him."

Ash nodded, took out a small notebook and wrote down the feeding method, then looked at the timid owl and smiled.
