Chapter 357 The Bodhi Patriarch makes his debut.

Chapter 357 The Bodhi Patriarch makes his debut.

"Firstly, the monkey is a person appointed by the Dao of Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures. Secondly, I will introduce a friend to Brother Zhou." Before he finished speaking, a Taoist flew out of Tathagata's body.

After the Taoist stood still, he said to the Tathagata: "The poor Taoist has seen this deity!"

Tathagata replied with a smile: "Fellow Daoist, why should you be so polite, please introduce yourself to Brother Zhou."

The Taoist turned around and faced Zhou Ding, Jishou said: "Poverty Bodhi, I have met Mr. Zhou."

There is no need for this Taoist to introduce himself, just because he resembles 'Guan Yunjie in a Taoist robe and white beard', Zhou Ding knows that he is Wukong's master - Bodhi Patriarch.

Zhou Ding had guessed the identity of Patriarch Bodhi several times, and he always believed that Wukong's teacher should be a Taoist.

Among the great powers of Taoism, the most suspicious ones are firstly the avatar of the Sanqing sage, and secondly the disciples of the Sanqing sect with advanced cultivation.

However, Zhou Ding never thought that Patriarch Bodhi was actually a clone of Tathagata.

At this moment, Zhou Ding couldn't count how many mud horses ran through his heart!
However, Zhou Ding's guess was not completely wrong. The predecessor of the Tathagata happened to be a disciple with a high level of cultivation under the Sanqing sect.

The reason why Zhou Ding first doubted Taoism was because of Wukong's cultivation skills.

Wukong practiced the "Eight Nine Mysterious Kung Fu"

As we all know: "Eight Nine Xuan Gong" was born out of Sanqing's protective method "Nine Turns Xuan Gong".

"Nine Turns Xuan Gong" has 36 transformations of Tiangang, which are extremely powerful. If you master the [-] transformations of Tiangang, you can turn into any species, even dragons, phoenixes, unicorns and other divine beasts.
Moreover, the changed form of Tiangang 36 is not just a superficial product, but a real combat power of a divine beast.

However, it is not easy to practice this technique. This technique has an innate condition: if you want to change any kind of beast, you need to refine a portion of the blood essence of this kind of beast. With the assistance of the blood essence of the beast, In order to practice the 36 transformations of Tiangang.

Is the blood of mythical beasts easy to get?
It's definitely not easy to do. If it was easy to do, Bajie wouldn't be such a waste.

In view of this, Sanqing created an easy-to-understand exercise from the Jiuzhuan Xuangong, named: "Eight Nine Xuangong".

Why is it called "Eight Nine Mysterious Skills"?
Because there are 72 changes in this common practice method, eight times nine is exactly 72.

In addition, this "Eight Nine Xuan Gong" is not weaker than the original "Nine Turns Xuan Gong" in terms of combat effectiveness and practicality. stage.

However, "Nine Turns of Xuan Gong" is a technique left by Pangu, which represents the authentic identity of the Sanqing Pangu, and "Nine Turns of Xuan Gong" must not be withdrawn.

Therefore, this exercise can only be a head lower than "Jiuzhuan Xuangong", and Bajiu is just a little lower than Jiuzhuan. Therefore, Sanqing gave this exercise the name "Bajiuxuangong", which is in the Under the "Nine Turns of Xuan Gong", it is also a Taoist protection technique.

Just because Wukong practiced Taoism's protective skills, Zhou Ding always thought that Wukong's master was a master of Taoism.

However, Zhou Ding forgot that Tathagata's previous life was Duobao. As the chief disciple of Jiejiao, Duobao would definitely know the "Eight-Nine Mysterious Techniques".

However, Zhou Ding subconsciously thought that it would take at least tens of thousands of years to comprehend from Daluo Jinxian to Zhunsheng.
He forgot, however, that Duobao before reincarnation was already at the peak of Da Luo Jinxian, so after reincarnation, Tathagata's cultivation speed was very fast. .

In addition, it is inevitable that the avatar cut out by Tathagata is a Taoist.

As we all know, Duobao has a very deep affection for Jiejiao. Although Tathagata has become a Buddhist for various reasons, it is difficult for Tathagata to let go of his identity as a Taoist.

The harder it is to let go, the easier it is to form an obsession. Therefore, it should be this obsession that the Tathagata beheaded first, which belongs to the obsession of Duobao.

The avatar was born because of Taoist obsession, so he became a Taoist as soon as he was born.

As for why it is not called Duobao, but Bodhi? ,

The reason is very simple, if the avatar is called Duobao, it will definitely not be able to hide it from other people, at least not from the sage. At that time, everyone will suspect that the Tathagata has two hearts about Buddhism.

No matter whether the Tathagata is "in the Cao camp but in the Han heart", he cannot let this go. Otherwise, he will be cast aside by everyone in Buddhism and lose the trust of Buddhist saints.

At that time, not to mention continuing to govern Buddhism, whether Tathagata could stay in Buddhism or even survive was a question.

Therefore, this clone can be called anything, but it cannot be called Duobao.

Since you can call it whatever you want, Tathagata will naturally choose the most meaningful one.

As we all know, Buddha Tathagata is just a title, not a name. So, what is the name of Tathagata?

His name is - Sakyamuni.

What is the most famous incident of Shakyamuni?
Enlightenment under the bodhi tree!

There are two poems to prove it:

The heart is the bodhi tree, and the body is the mirror stand.Wipe frequently, where there is dust!

No Bodhi tree, nor stand mirror. There is nothing, where is the dust!
Since Tathagata attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, it is normal for Tathagata's avatar to be called Bodhi!
What's more, the way that the Tathagata proved under the Bodhi tree is the way of Buddhism. Therefore, using Bodhi in the name of the avatar can greatly reduce the dissatisfaction of Buddhist saints and Buddhist disciples. for?
Perhaps, Wu Cheng'en, the creator of Journey to the West, read these lines of poems and gave the clone of Sakyamuni such a name.

These thoughts may seem complicated, but they are just a flash of inspiration from Zhou Ding, and everything happens in a flash of lightning.

Zhou Ding shook his head, cut off these miscellaneous thoughts, and said with a little embarrassment: "Zhou is ashamed..." Although Tathagata has some selfish intentions, he is Wukong's master after all, and Zhou Ding seems to have nothing to say when he provokes his apprentices against his master. wrong.

Wukong didn't know about the avatar of his master Bodhisattva, if he knew, he would definitely die down, who said that Bodhi Patriarch is the person Wukong respects the most!
Tathagata laughed: "Those who don't know don't blame it. Brother Zhou doesn't have to be like this. Now, can you and I turn our enemies into friends?"

Zhou Ding nodded: "Since Zhou has misunderstood Buddha, naturally he will not continue to be an enemy of Buddha, but Zhou still has an unfeeling request."

Tathagata asked, "Brother Zhou, which disciples are you referring to?"

Zhou Ding nodded and said, "Exactly, the disciples I have contacted, I hope they can be free."

The Tathagata sighed and said: "It has been ten thousand years since the conferment of the gods. After ten thousand years of brainwashing, more than [-]% of the thousands of disciples brought back by the two Buddhist sages have converted. These people, I Even if I give it to you, it will be of no use to you.

After [-] years, there are about a hundred people who still want to stop teaching, and these people are worthy of Brother Zhou's rescue.

If Brother Zhou has a way to lift them and the restrictions in his body, just go ahead and do it. I will turn a blind eye to this matter and regard it as the last thing that I, the senior brother, will do for them. "
