Chapter 492 To The Burrow

Chapter 492 Back to the Burrow
After returning to the tent bedroom, Harry and Ron lay down in sleeping bags, while Hermione slept in Ginny's lower bunk.

Harry stared at the canvas ceiling of the tent, unable to sleep for a long time.

In the darkness, they could hear the voices of the twins and Bill one after another, they could detect the worried sigh of Sirius in the living room of the tent, they could feel the footsteps of the Aurors approaching the tent when they were on patrol, and their somewhat panicked discussions...

Although Sirius warned repeatedly, Harry still couldn't help but think of the McGuffin, the nightmare, and the strange scene of the Department of Mysteries...

He thought of Voldemort...and Crouch and Fudge...

For some reason, the faces of those three people were mixed together, which made him a little scared.

"Harry, are you asleep?"

Ron whispered next to him.

"No, what's the matter?"

"I think Padfoot and McGuffin are right, you really should improve your [Occlumency], even if you learn from Snape."

"But, I can see Voldemort... um, I'm sorry... I can see what the Dark Lord is doing, won't this help us fight him?" Harry also replied in a low voice.

"But he can also see us! Harry! I don't want the mysterious man to see me through you!" Ron said shivering, "Think about it, if he just stares at us now... wouldn't he know where we are right away?"

Harry didn't speak, he was a little annoyed.

Ron directly punctured Harry's illusion of luck.

His connection with Voldemort is two-way, not one-way... This is also the worry of McGuffin, Sirius, Dumbledore and many others.

Harry had thought of something like this, too.
But he always had some fluke thoughts, what if Voldemort didn't notice? What if before he notices... I can defeat his plot in this way, or even defeat him?

"Harry?" Ron asked again, aware that Harry was getting a little angry.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that."

"It's okay, what you said is the truth!" Harry took a deep breath and whispered.

Ron's words made Harry even more sleepless. He should have been exhausted, but now he was very awake.

The worries in his heart kept coming like a tide.

Ron might feel that what he just said was a little too much, so he kept trying to talk to Harry, making some jokes, trying to ease the atmosphere between the two.

"Just now when Sirius talked about the things about Fudge and Kratch, it really frightened me a little bit."

"...I don't know if Percy knows anything about Crouch, he adores that horrible guy too much... The fact that his own son was handed over to the dementor... Maybe this excites Percy even more, and he might even excuse Crouch? ... No one can break the rules and regulations. Yes, Percy loves to follow procedures and regulations."

"What's more, Crouch is Percy's immediate boss. Percy looks like a younger version of Barty Crouch... Yes, Percy is the same, he wants to be the Minister of Magic, almost crazy..."

"I'm a little worried about George and Fred. You said that if Percy feels that the two of them are hindering his career in the future, will he also send them directly into Azkaban?"

Hermione, who was still asleep, was also amused by Ron, and Harry couldn't help laughing too.

"Isn't it?" he said.

"That's not sure... You know, Percy has always been ambitious for the position of Minister of Magic. He has plans... Haven't you seen the old book [Game of Thrones - From Prefect to Minister of Magic]? This is Percy's treasure... Doesn't that mean anything?"

Ron counted down the scandals of Percy.

The voice gradually faded, began to blur... and then... seemed to fall asleep.

Hermione was also silent.

Harry lay on his back on the sleeping bag, looking at the canvas roof, but still couldn't think of any sleep-promoting images, and it took him a long time before he finally fell into a drowsy sleep.

Harry only thought he had slept for a few minutes when Mr. Weasley woke them up.

But it's been hours.

Everyone struggled to get up with sleepy eyes,
Under the urging of Weasley and Percy, Bill and Charlie helped the two magically put the tent away.

Then they left the camp and went into the woods.

Unlike the other wizarding families on the other side of the camp, they hadn't queued up to the little stone hut on the other side of the hill to collect the portkeys.

Instead, they were escorted by Aurors and went to the woods. (Harry and Hermione put their heads down in embarrassment and tried to walk as fast as they could, while Ron, the twins, enjoyed it.)
There was an Auror who looked like a lion waiting for them.

The Auror eyed Sirius Black warily, seemingly wanting to ask him for his identity.

Fortunately, Mr. Weasley interrupted and dealt with it.

"Rufus... how? Do you know who... who cast the Dark Mark?" Weasley walked towards him first, stretching out his hand and asking.

Scrimgeour shook hands briefly, darted his eyes over Black, and drew his wand.

He flicked Harry lightly, and seeing no response, he said, "There doesn't seem to be any tracking magic? Arthur, before school starts, you stayed at home with this Fudge appointed..."

He stared at Blake.

"Call me 'cold'?"

"Okay? Cold, Arthur... You must ensure that Harry Potter does not move more than one kilometer from [The Burrow]..."

"He will stay at your house until Hogwarts starts... If you need anything else, you can owl the Auror office, and I will send the Aurors to Diagon Alley to buy books and utensils for Harry and the others to go to school."

"We have to make sure that no vicious black magic is cast on the books and mixed with those magic learning tools..."

"And..." The wizard slowed down his always cold tone,
"...a team of Aurors is currently at your home to conduct the necessary inspections. Arthur! I hope you don't mind this."

"What? Mr. Scrimgeour! How can you... our family is not a secret society of dark wizards? You should know my father's consistent position." Percy asked loudly angrily, feeling that he had been greatly insulted.

"Why do you..." Mr. Weasley also looked angry, and then asked hastily as if remembering something, "Rufus, did you find something in the Ministry of Magic? Is it related to what happened last night? Could it be 'that person' did it?"

"It's not clear yet. But..."

Rufus Scrimgeour glanced at Harry and the others in some embarrassment, then pulled Mr. Weasley to the other side and whispered something.

Harry vaguely seemed to hear his own name, some prophecy, and words like McGuffin and Dumbledore.

After Mr. Weasley came back, he stopped Percy, Bill Charlie and their objections to this matter.

I don't know if it was an illusion, but Harry felt that Mr. Weasley's eyes were full of worries about himself.

Rufus Scrimgeour produced a battered belt and handed it to Mr. Weasley.

After not waiting for a few minutes, they touched the 'portkey' with a few Aurors and returned to the mountain where they left, and then walked along the wet mountain path towards the village of Ottery-St. Catchpole.

Soon, before the twilight of dawn woke the Muggles, they made their way through the village.

After they walked about a hill or two, they could see 【The Burrow】.

Along the way, everyone hardly spoke.

Mr. Weasley had been preoccupied since his conversation with Rufus Scrimgeour.

And those Aurors surrounded Harry and the others, raising their wands to be on guard all the way, which made Harry and the others feel very uneasy. Even Bill Charlie and the others took out their wands together and looked around, for fear that a Death Eater would emerge from somewhere.

Affected by this, Ginny was about to cry, and the expression on her face was like she was about to lose Harry,

This made Harry even more uncomfortable.

Tired and hungry, everyone...including the twins are extremely depressed, and now they just want to go back to [The Burrow] to rest and relax their nerves that are about to collapse.

"Oh, thank goodness, thank Merlin!"

There was still a distance from [The Burrow], just when they saw the crooked roof, there was a shout in front of them.

It's Mrs Weasley,

Obviously she had been waiting for them outside for quite some time.

The two slippers were covered with mud.

Mrs. Weasley was pale and nervous, clutching a crumpled copy of the Daily Prophet tightly in her hand.

"Arthur, I'm so worried, so worried—"

"...First, I saw the report in the "Daily Prophet"...it said that the mysterious man had returned...the Ministry of Magic was attacked, and the Quidditch pitch was terminated, and the Dark Mark appeared again...you don't know how worried I am. Then, a team of Aurors [apparated] directly to the house and showed the search warrant issued by Fudge... saying that they would check the house to see if there were any dangerous magic items."

"Are you all right?" Mrs. Weasley glanced at the crowd, she was relieved when she saw that there were not many people, and then asked eagerly.

"What the hell is going on? Arthur?"

Mrs. Weasley hugged Mr. Weasley tightly, and the "Daily Prophet" slipped from her weak hands to the ground. She was worried and almost cried.

Harry looked down and saw that there was no headline on the top of the "Daily Prophet", only two black and white photos of the event,
One shows the Dark Mark hanging over the Quidditch pitch, and the panicked wizards running around without thinking on the ground.

There is also a scene of the Ministry of Magic, the vast dark green field... full of serious looking Aurors looking around, Fudge is surrounded by a group of wizards, and in the other corner of the photo...

That is--

Professor Dumbledore was helping a wizard who had fallen to the ground——

It's a MacGuffin!

Before Harry could take a closer look, Bill stepped over and rolled up the newspaper.

"Are you all okay?"

Mrs. Weasley muttered in shock, and finally let go of Mr. Weasley. She looked at the little wizards one by one, especially staying on Harry for a long time.

Then he hugged the twins tightly and kept saying sorry and the like, saying that he was too strict with them.

At this moment, a few wizards with expressionless faces came out from the [The Burrow] in the distance. They should be the Aurors that Mrs. Weasley said had come to the [The Burrow] for inspection.

The leader was a black wizard with gold earrings.

"Ha! Arthur, long time no see! I just said if I could meet you before you come back?"

"And it just so happens...Animogos, are you guarding Harry? Just in time to hand over..."

"Kingsley! It's you!"

Originally, Mr. Weasley was pulling his face, but when he saw the person coming, he immediately relaxed his expression, let go of Mrs. Weasley's tightly held hand, went up to greet him, and greeted him with a smile.

The Aurors also followed without waiting for them to say a few more words.

A younger Auror who followed behind rushed over with excitement on his face and reported loudly, "Mr. Shaker, we found some suspicious items."

"What?" Mr. Weasley became nervous. He suddenly remembered that he had modified a lot of Muggle items in private at home. Although he had left a lot of loopholes when he made the law, it was discovered at this time that even if nothing happened, there would not be much 'good fruit' for him to eat.

"Some questionable candies, and some... some very questionable wands!"

As if claiming credit, the guy took out a wand and turned into a big croaking frog.

"Ah, that's a magical prank my son invented," said Mr. Weasley hastily.

Kingsley Shacklebolt laughed angrily. He looked at Mr. Weasley in embarrassment and said to the wizard, "Auror! Put that thing down and hand over to the Auror who came to protect you, if you don't have any other useful 'discoveries'!"

"But Mr. Crouch asked us to check everything suspicious..."

"Maggs! A fake wand won't make the Dark Mark, and mischievous candy won't invade the Ministry of Magic... If you don't believe it yourself, pop it in your mouth and try."

Kingsley reprimanded loudly angrily, and then beckoned the other Aurors to hurry over and hand over to the Aurors who were escorting Harry.

And the sudden interjection of the young Auror obviously interrupted the happy scene between Mrs. Weasley and the twins.

Mrs. Weasley and the twins... looked at each other silently.

Although they were still hugging tightly, Harry couldn't tell whether Mrs. Weasley was more worried or annoyed.

Anyway, they were about to strangle the twins out of breath.

"Okay, okay, Molly, we're all safe and sound... that's the most important thing." Mr. Weasley hurriedly interrupted. After pulling Mrs. Weasley and the twins away, he asked Kingsley Shacklebolt, "What's the matter with Fudge sending you here? It can't be that he's really here to find some dangerous dark magic items, right? He should know my attitude towards it."

"It's not just like that! Minister Fudge, the main purpose of sending us here is to install magic defense devices, set up [anti-apparition]... and monitor this type of magic, and also sort out a room where Aurors can temporarily rest...Of course, we have obtained Molly's consent."

Mrs. Weasley nodded.

"Okay, Arthur, we should go too."

After a wizard next to Kingsley came over and nodded to him, he said hurriedly.

After handing over with the Aurors who were escorting Harry, he waved his wand and disappeared into the air, leaving here.
