Chapter 43 Hammer equals an idiot

Chapter 43 Hammer equals an idiot
After the reception, wake up the next day.

Jack felt a bit of a headache. He didn't drink well, but because of Raymond's suggestion, Jack drank a glass every day, but he obviously drank too much last night.

After a stretch, another day begins.

Before Jack could express his emotions, Cheney hastily pushed the door open and entered.

"Boss, Pentagon General Hardaway's call."

Cheney hands Jack a cell phone.

Jack was confused, what's going on?
Until an old but powerful voice came from the microphone,
"Is that Jack Murdoch? I'm Hardaway."

Hardaway's introduction is short, as if everyone should know him.

God is sorry, Jack only learned of this name from Richard yesterday, and he can only vaguely confirm that this is a big brother of the American military.

"Hail to you, General Hardaway, I'm Jack."

"I heard from Richard that you have the vertical lift technology for high-speed aircraft. I am very interested in this. I have appointed Air Force Colonel James Rhodes to negotiate with you. I hope we can reach a cooperation."

Jack was even more confused, the plot was exactly as Richard expected.

After hanging up the phone politely, Jack fell into deep thought.

Obviously, he miscalculated the attractiveness of the Blackbird fighter technology. He originally only wanted to use this technology in exchange for the understanding of the Pentagon, but now it seems that this technology can be exchanged for more bargaining chips.

Thinking of this, Jack woke up, and he shouted at Cheney,

"Help me check the information of General Hardaway and Colonel James Rhodes. I want to get to know these two people in the shortest possible time, so hurry up!"

"James Rhodes, Colonel of the U.S. Air Force, is also the head of the Weapons Development Department of the U.S. Air Force. He is a close friend of Tony Stark and a middleman between Stark Industries and the military. As for Lieutenant General Hardaway, he Chief of Staff of the U.S. Northern Command."

As a personal assistant, Cheney has slowly adapted to his role. He has already done his homework and introduced it to Jack.

After listening to Cheney's introduction, Jack can already confirm that Rhodes is the future war machine. For Jack, who has seen many future celebrities, war machine is not special.

However, Lieutenant General Hardaway's introduction later made Jack excited!

Here we must briefly introduce the military classification of the United States.

The United States is divided into six war zones. On the surface, the commander of the war zone or the highest command is the commander of the theater appointed by the president, but this is a civilian official and does not have much real power.

The actual military controller is the theater or command chief of staff.

Northern Command is headquartered in Colorado.

The jurisdiction includes the continental United States of North America, Canada, the northern part of Mexico and the northern part of the Caribbean.

The main task is to assist the government to perform its civil duties and defend against attacks against the continental United States, Alaska, Canada, and Mexico.

It can be said that in the United States, Lieutenant General Hardaway decided more than half of the military affairs.

This is a real military boss.

Jack hurriedly began to wash up, who knows when James Rhodes will arrive, and Jack still wants to make a good fortune from him.

As it turns out, the military really cares about vertical lift technology.

Just an hour later, a handsome black boy in military uniform came to Jack's office under Cheney's guidance.

"Hi, Mr. Murdoch, I'm James Rhodes. You may call me Rhodes."

When Jack heard Rhode's self-introduction, he couldn't help complaining that Americans really don't have the talent for naming. This is the third James that Jack knows!

Luckily Americans also know they suck at being named, so they usually have a nickname.

"Hello, Rhodes. To be honest, I'm still a little surprised. I received a call from General Hardaway in my sleep. I still can't believe it's true."

There are exaggerations and truths in Jack's words, but Rhodes is obviously very useful, and he gradually smiles.

"I'm here this time to discuss the vertical lift technology with you." Rhodes put down his smile, showing a suspicious expression, and he said skillfully, "When I received a call from General Hardaway, I thought someone was playing a prank. But after seeing Mr. Jack, I think I should gain something."

"Thank you for your trust, Rhodes," Jack said with a look of embarrassment, "but I'm sorry, I may only have half of the information left."

Rhodes stood up abruptly, "What happened?"

"In fact, I'm a newspaper worker, and I don't know much about military technology. I got the entire technical information from a mutant..."

Speaking of which, Jack stopped on purpose, and Rhodes was listening attentively. He didn't seem to respond to the word mutant, which is good.

"I wanted to cooperate with Hammer yesterday to jointly develop this technology, but Mr. Hammer obviously didn't care much about this technology, and the conversation was very unpleasant."

"I am a young man, and I made mistakes that young people should make, and I was angry with these materials. In my anger, I damaged some of the materials."

Rhodes is an honest man, but he is not a fool. He looked at Jack suspiciously, as if he was looking at a liar.

Jack knew that his story must not be believed, so he waved his hand and signaled Cheney to take out the blackbird fighter data that had been manipulated, all of which were hand-painted, and more than half of the blueprints had been burned.

The impatient Rhodes took it. He is a technical soldier and has a deep understanding of technology. He hurriedly looked at several key parts in the blueprint, and asked in disbelief,

"What is the fastest speed the fighter plane in the blueprint can reach?"

"Around Mach 4, that's what the mutant told me."

"Where is the other person? I need to see him immediately!"

"Sorry, he's missing. I've searched for a long time, but I can only confirm that he was kidnapped, but there are no clues." Jack asked pretending not to understand, "Is this information important?"

"Of course it's important. This is simply a cross-generational masterpiece! But the most critical part is missing, without the missing part, the remaining drawings will be meaningless!"

Like a technical madman, Rhode looked at the blueprint that was missing more than half, and he felt distressed, so he opened his mouth again,
"Fuck!"

Originally he was supposed to blame Jack, but after seeing Jack's innocent face, he stopped his mouth, but in the end he couldn't help cursing,

"Hammer is an idiot, he is a sinner of America!"

Jack was overjoyed, this is the result he wanted.

After Rhodes finished cursing, he began to look carefully at the blueprints. Some of the explanations made him suddenly understand, but he couldn't see the whole picture because of the lack of blueprints at key points, which made him curse in his heart.

But he also had an idea in his mind, if there is one person in this world who can restore the drawings, it must be his friend Tony Stark!
Rhodes made up his mind and said, "Jack, can I take these blueprints?"

"Of course... not possible!"

Jack pretended to be a profiteer and said with a smile,
"Rod, I respect you and General Hardaway, but business is business. I have all the patents for this technology. Even if it is damaged, it still belongs to me."

Rhodes calmed down quickly, it was not easy to take things from the capitalists.

"We can pay," Rhodes said.

"No, I didn't understand the value of this thing, but now I won't sell it cheap! I need to seriously consider its value!"

Rhodes was distressed for a while, and he cursed Hammer even more in his heart. He messed up the technology that could have been easily obtained by him.

"I must remind you, Mr. Jack, you only have half of the information now. Without the help of the military, this is just a pile of waste paper."

"No, Rhodes, this is a pile of valuable waste paper!"

Rhodes secretly scolded a profiteer, but had to continue lobbying Jack.

But Jack made up his mind and just wouldn't let go.

Rhodes had no choice but to leave.

Jack sent away the reluctant Rhodes, and he already felt sympathy for Hammer in his heart. I believe this arrogant idiot must not be feeling well this time.

As for the rest, it's up to the X-Men in action, and Jack has done everything he can.

The Rhodes here uses the first version, and the later Rhodes looks too bad.
