Chapter 27 A Trustworthy Person

No one, including Harry, heard the whisper.

"Since no one else heard the sound of the curse, the attacker may have come specifically for me," Peter said.

"Maybe it's because your perception of magic is much better than other wizards." Dumbledore said thoughtfully.

"I also considered this factor, but even if I didn't turn on the magic space, I could hear the sound of the spell," Peter insisted, "and the Severus and Slytherin students who were closest to the incident at the time didn't know what to do." Didn't hear anything."

Dumbledore nodded slightly and turned to Snape.

"Severus," said Dumbledore gently, "didn't you hear anything that night?"

Snape shook his head expressionlessly.

"It seems that this matter is more complicated than we imagined," Dumbledore said with a sigh, "We must strengthen the school's defense as soon as possible to catch the attacker."

"Are we going to let people from the Ministry of Magic come in?" McGonagall asked suspiciously.

"Of course not, we have to hire someone we can trust." Dumbledore said with a smile.

After speaking, Dumbledore stood up, indicating that the meeting was over, and the others also stood up.

Dumbledore waved his wand, and the chairs disappeared.

Dumbledore walked to Snape's bedside, leaned over and whispered to him, probably still concerned about his injury.

Peter just wanted to leave quickly, but when he habitually put his hand in his pocket, he touched the wand that didn't belong to him.

Peter walked towards the bed and got closer to Dumbledore, who he heard Dumbledore say "Would you like some custard pie".

This was the umpteenth time Dumbledore had forced a promotion of his favorite sweet.

It is said that the password of the principal's office he set has always been the names of various desserts.

Snape listened reluctantly, and Peter suspected he was about to start faking a coma.

Before that, Peter said quickly, "Excuse me... I've brought your wand."

As he spoke, he took Snape's wand out of his pocket, held the tip in his hand, and handed over the handle.

Snape slowly raised his left hand with only two fingers, and grasped the handle of the staff, his black eyes were fixed on Peter's face all the time.

Peter whispered, "I'll never forget that it used to light up the fluorescent lights for me in the dark."

This sentence moved Snape somewhat, his attitude softened a little, and his eyes were not so cold anymore.

Peter waved his hand and turned to leave.

Before leaving, he suddenly added: "Your wand is full of fingerprints, I wiped them for you."

After speaking, he walked out of the ward without looking back.

Snape was probably already regretting his change of heart about Peter.

*
On the way back in the Thunderbird, Harry kept wanting to ask what kind of feud Peter and Snape had.

Peter knew Harry well, the kid was good everywhere, but a little inquisitive.

Harry tried various entry points to pry Peter's mouth open.

But Peter was superior and skillfully blocked all breakthroughs.

It was an hour before dinner time when Peter returned to school with Harry and Hermione.

He didn't let the Thunderbird land on the Astronomy Tower, but landed on a deserted open space next to the Forbidden Forest.

Not far away, a strange tree with a thick trunk was shaking slightly.

Harry and Hermione were puzzled: Professor Peddie didn't take them back to the castle, why did he come here?
Peter didn't bother to explain, he flicked his wand hard, and conjured a huge Ukrainian iron belly.

Hermione let out a cry of surprise and jumped away. Harry quickly pulled out his wand and pointed nervously at the vicious dragon.

"Relax," Peter said with a smile, "the dragon is at my command."

This Ukrainian iron belly is one of Peter's favorite summons, and it has made great contributions in the basement corridor.

Of course, Peter had to make it a little smaller that night to keep from getting stuck, so the black snakes eventually outmaneuvered it by relying on fangs and fire-extinguishing magic.

"Am I going to fight such a big dragon?" Harry said in disbelief.

"That's impossible," said Peter, "because the Ukrainian iron belly is the largest living dragon in the world."

"I understand, as long as I can defeat it, I can defeat all fire dragons!"

Harry had a dashing confidence, which Peter appreciated.

"But, how could Harry defeat such a big dragon!" Hermione said excitedly.

"Let me demonstrate." Peter said lightly.

He held out a hand, and the Ukrainian iron belly slowly lowered its head and put its nose in Peter's palm.

This is Peter's habit when communicating with the creatures he summons.

The dragon's crimson eyes looked at Peter, and hot air was blowing from its nostrils.

Peter let go of his hand and bowed slightly to the dragon.

The fire dragon understood, it raised its head, let out a roar, and stirred up layers of air waves.

Harry and Hermione covered their ears subconsciously, watching the battle of disparity in size before them.

The fire dragon took a deep breath, and a pillar of fire rushed straight at Peter.

He predicted the position of the pillar of fire, and easily dodged sideways.

A scarlet spell cut through the air and hit the fire dragon's eye.

The dragon stopped breathing, and it circled blindly, its tail sweeping back and forth.

Peter motioned for Harry and Hermione to back away, and he jumped out of the way with a swift sweep.

He held out his wand hand, and his wrist flicked rapidly.

Harry and Hermione could barely see the movement of his hands.

Five red rays of light shot out from the tip of his staff rapidly, forming a straight line in mid-air, and hitting the fire dragon's abdomen continuously.

The fire dragon staggered a few steps, its neck stretched first, and then fell limply to the ground, making a loud noise.

Before that, Peter had put away his wand.

Harry and Hermione only knew that Professor Peddie had defeated the dragon, but not what he had done.

"The trick to defeating a dragon is simple," Peter said, "one eye sickness spell and one multiple stun spell."

"Professor, what is the function of the Multiple Stunning Spell?" Hermione asked in surprise.

"Fire dragons are different from wizards. They have higher magic resistance, and a stun spell cannot penetrate them. This requires the help of multiple stun spells." Peter explained.

"Wouldn't it be even more powerful if I used multiple stunning spells for wizard duels!" Harry said enthusiastically.

Peter shook his head: "Wizard duels are completely different from dragon fights. The same method cannot be applied. If you use multiple stun spells rashly, not only will it not be effective, but you will even knock yourself down."

At this moment, there was a loud noise from above.

For a moment, Peter thought that Ukrainian iron belly was flying again.

The three of them looked up at the sky, and an exaggerated flying motorcycle was landing rapidly.

"Could that be..."

Beside Peter, Harry was waving desperately.

"Sirius! Sirius!" he exclaimed with great excitement.
