Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Peter

Chapter 12 Evaluation of Teaching Quality

Chapter 12 Evaluation of Teaching Quality
After the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class, the whole school was discussing the magic of Professor Peddie and the truth about the death of the mysterious man.

Some students have not yet had the opportunity to take Peter's class, but they are already practicing creating magic spaces by themselves according to the hearsay method.

Many students were admitted to the infirmary because they used extreme methods when condensing their magic power.

For example, a second-year Ravenclaw student listened to the words of two seniors and bought a kind of "powerful magic coagulation sugar", which resulted in a rash all over his body.

Ms. Umbridge, the Chief Overseer, has lost her temper.

But when she shamelessly ate with the teachers, she still put on a dignified air as much as possible, showing her detached status of guiding the country.

Since the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Umbridge himself never came to check on Peter's class, and only sent a young Ministry of Magic employee to sit in the last row to record each time.

It seems that Umbridge also knows that Peter's class is very popular among students, and it will be very deliberate to continue to make things difficult, and Mr. Crouch will not be happy at that time.

Her real target is not a particular teacher, but Headmaster Dumbledore.

In Potions class on Friday afternoon, Umbridge did show up with her notebook.

Snape didn't express much when he saw her, he just said softly: "It seems we have guests."

In this class, the students continued to learn how to configure the antidote. Snape explained the steps of configuring the potion as in the previous class, and then asked everyone to configure the potion.

He patrolled the classroom as in the previous class, checking the students' operations.

Umbridge has been sitting in the back row without making a sound, and it seems that she really didn't pick any thorns.

A moment later, as Snape was bending over Seamus' cauldron, Umbridge walked towards him.

"Antidotes are not suitable for fourth year students," said Umbridge. "I will ask the Ministry of Magic to remove this."

Snape straightened up slowly, looking at her coldly.

"What was your job before you came to teach at the school?" Umbridge asked.

"Unemployed," Snape replied blankly.

"It is said that you first applied for the position of teacher of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class?"

"Yes."

"And then you didn't make it, did you?"

"Obviously."

Snape curled his lips, Umbridge's question was completely nonsense.

"It seems Dumbledore doesn't trust you," Umbridge said triumphantly.

"Does this have anything to do with teaching evaluation?"

"Of course, I will fully investigate the... background of the Hogwarts teachers."

As he spoke, Umbridge looked at Snape's face and hands contemptuously, and pretended to scribble on his notebook.

"The results of your assessment will be available within three weeks." Umbridge closed his notebook.

"Oh, I'm so looking forward to it," Snape said sarcastically.

"If possible, you'd better get out early and get another job."

Umbridge smirked and tilted his head, his tone threatening.

In the next few weeks, people from the Magic Education Committee would come to observe the teacher's class every class and quietly grade them.

But Umbridge herself doesn't appear very often, she only appears in the classes of the teachers she focuses on "taking care of".

For example, Professor Trelawney encountered Umbridge's inspection.

In that divination class, Professor Trelawney read aloud an excellent prophecy assignment to her great satisfaction:

***Several accurate predictions based on "Putting Through the Fog to See the Future"***
—Harry James Potter

On Monday, I will be in danger of being severely burned due to the overlapping orbit of Mars and Earth.

On Tuesday, I will be betrayed by a friend due to Venus in the No. 12 house of the zodiac.

On Wednesday, since it is a full moon, I will be killed by werewolves in the Forbidden Forest.

On Thursday, with the Earth's shadow covering Venus, I'll be broke because I bet Ron Weasley won a fight he lost.

On Friday, due to Mercury's perihelion, I will fall into the Black Lake and drown.

On Saturday, with Venus, Jupiter and the Sun aligned, I will be confused and in serious danger of failing.

On Sunday, due to the close proximity of Pluto to Neptune, I will encounter the threat of an evil dark wizard.

******
After reading Harry's homework, Professor Trelawney praised Harry greatly.

She likes those ominous prophecies the most, and this homework is really to her liking.

In fact, this thing was made up by Harry.

If Harry really tried to calculate the positions of those extremely complicated celestial bodies, he would be in danger of going bald.

"Ahem," Umbridge coughed twice in the back seat, "So he's going to die three times in the next month?"

Trelawney's usual erratic look disappeared, and she looked at Umbridge with great displeasure.

"Ah~ I can see that your aura is very dim, and you don't have the potential to be a prophet." Professor Trelawney said slyly.

"Really?" Umbridge jotted down something in his notebook, looking like a zero.

Hagrid was having a hard time, too.

Because his snails were bred from fire crabs and manticores.

This behavior is a serious violation of the "Prohibition of Animal Breeding Experiments" issued by the Ministry of Magic.

After Umbridge came to school, Peter once reminded Hagrid to stop keeping snails.

But Hagrid insisted on going his own way. In his eyes, the snails were all his sweethearts and cuties.

Sure enough, Umbridge immediately confiscated all the snails when he came to inspect the Protection of Magical Creatures class for the first time.

With Malfoy's schadenfreude at the time, it looked as if the domineering Malfoy from before this term had returned.

Afterwards Hagrid became extremely depressed and was rarely seen at the staff table.

Generally speaking, he hides in his hut and cooks something to eat.

Harry, Ron and Hermione cared about him very much and often went to Hagrid to chat with him.

The drunken Hagrid would shed big tears every time for the snails.

Over the next few weeks, Care of Fantastic Creatures class consisted of feeding Flobber caterpillars, which the students considered the most boring creatures in the world.

Umbridge also appeared in Professor McGonagall's class once, when McGonagall was teaching the students how to turn a hedgehog into a pincushion.

When the class was over, she tried to challenge McGonagall, but McGonagall was tough.

Professor McGonagall has been teaching at the school for nearly 38 years. He is not only the dean of Gryffindor College, but also the vice-principal of the school. He is loved by generations of students.

Such a person with profound qualifications and powerful mana is by no means a soft persimmon that is easy to pinch.

Besides, McGonagall worked at the Ministry of Magic when he was young, and when McGonagall was a rising star in the Ministry of Magic, Umbridge was still playing with mud at home.

So no matter how obvious the hostility of Professor McGonagall, Umbridge couldn't touch her.

One night, Umbridge had Filch call all the teachers and students into the Great Hall.

She is going to announce the results of this teaching quality evaluation, and then fire some teachers who she doesn't like.
