Chapter 61 Bald Donkey
"The Wutong demon is crazy."
This sentence was widely reprinted and circulated in the south of the Yangtze River in the Nine Provinces of the Dayong Dynasty, mainly in parts of Yangzhou.
A few years ago, the imperial court took action to crack down on a wave of obscene folk worship throughout the Jiangnan region.
While hunting down rabbits, they also eradicated all illegal beliefs in the Wutong Evil God.
Wutong the demon was implicated by his good brother Wutong the evil god, and was caught in the crossfire. He was injured and even greatly frightened.
From then on, he dared not operate in the Inner Nine Provinces anymore and quietly fled to the three southwestern provinces of the Outer Eighteen Provinces.
After settling down, he mainly stayed at home to recuperate, rarely went out, and did not do anything else.
Therefore, people in the three southwestern states who have heard of this sentence or seen it in files, but have not directly dealt with the Wutong demon, cannot quite understand it.
In other words, we can understand it, but we cannot imagine out of thin air how crazy Wutong Yaodao is that this sentence has been spread so widely and gained so much recognition.
Especially the recognition from the imperial court!
The female teacher of Liuxian County Literature, who was parachuted in from the capital and did not want to reveal her name, was originally one of those who could not understand this sentence.
Now she understands!
It took only five or six breaths after the first meeting for the word "disgusting" to take on a concrete form.
But understanding is one thing, and being able to accept it is another.
The female teacher said coldly with a stern face: "Shut up!"
"what?"
Wutong Yaodao cried out in surprise, raised his finger and pointed at his nose, his eyes widened like bells, revealing a look of complete disbelief and shock. His lips trembled a few times, and his voice trembled, "You actually scolded me! You, you, you..."
"You actually scolded me!"
With a wow sound, Wutong Yaodao cried out, "I am so unlucky, why is my life so miserable! If the powerful and handsome sword immortal didn't want me, he could have sold me to a good family for a good price! Why did he have to sell me to this self-righteous, arrogant, conceited ugly woman! Wow... my life is so miserable!"
The female teacher's face twitched, and she really wanted to kill the Wutong demon who was still alive and doing evil.
But things have to be prioritized.
Right now we have to seize the time and do the right things. If we have spare time, we can talk about other things.
In addition, although Wutong Yaodao is a lunatic and his words and deeds are disgusting, he performs quite well as an "undercover" or guide.
As soon as they met, an important piece of information was revealed.
"Why did you come just now?" This sentence is indeed a complaint and accusation, but it is also a reminder.
Padmasambhava is not a fool. It is impossible for him to do nothing and just stay here waiting to die during the seven days when the Five-Directions Demon suddenly came to his door.
It was obvious that the Wutong demon was reminding her that Padmasambhava had already made a backup plan.
Either they are not afraid of being attacked, or even have the confidence to fight back;
Or you can escape at any time and disappear without a trace.
In either case, the odds were against her.
Seven days!
It took her seven days to snatch the bait of Wutong Yaodao from Huang Junshi and then find Padmasambhava through this bait. Her actions were really too slow.
Even to outsiders, this seems nonsense!
It is a waste of the good situation and opportunities created by Huang Junshi!
But you only know your own business.
Only she herself knew why it took her seven days to come here.
Only she herself knows what she did during these seven days.
Thinking this in her mind, the female teacher looked at the target of her trip, Padmasambhava, who was still sitting upright in meditation, and suddenly a flash of lightning flashed in her eyes!
"Padmasambhava, today, you can't escape."
Facing the peaceful gaze of Padmasambhava, a great monk who seemed to have seen through the mundane world, the female teacher spoke with typical words that would usually be said by a villain, "No one can save you, no matter how high or low you go!"
Facing the threat from the female teacher, Padmasambhava calmly asked: "My lady, I wonder when and where I offended you. Is there any misunderstanding? If there is any misunderstanding, I am willing to resolve it with you. Why do you have to talk about life and death?"
"Huh... misunderstanding?"
After making a villain-like threatening declaration, the female teacher was not in a hurry to take action. She sneered and said coldly, "You know what evil you have done. How can there be any misunderstanding?"
"Amitabha."
Padmasambhava chanted the Buddha's name, stopped sitting in meditation, and stood up. "It seems that today really cannot end peacefully. I wonder how the donor lady plans to prevent me from escaping. Please let me do what I want, I will accept it."
"You will know what I have to offer."
The female teacher snorted coldly and was about to take action immediately.
After a while of silence, the Wutong demon who was giving the woman instructions and arguing with Padmasambhava couldn't stand it anymore and shouted loudly: "Hey, hey, hey! Do you think I'm a dead person? At least respect me and say hello before fighting."
However, both the female teacher and Padmasambhava actually treated the Five-Power Demon as a dead man and ignored him.
The female teacher raised her right hand, and pointed lightly with her fingers like swords.
A faint glow immediately gushed out from the tips of his index and middle fingers.
The female teacher then shouted in a low voice: "Don't talk, it's strange, powerful, chaotic, and divine!"
The woman's opening move was exactly the same as when she attacked one of Padmasambhava's clones in Wushan Temple more than two months ago, and it was still "the words come out and the law follows".
The difference is that the words of Confucian sages adopted by female teachers have been changed from the previous "Do not look, listen, speak, or do anything that is not appropriate" to the current "The Master does not speak."
And the emphasis is deliberately placed on the word "Shen".
What do Confucianists practice?
A literary heart?
A literary talent?
Or is it a sense of righteousness?
Yes.
But there is more to it than that.
It is also the "Ming De" among the Three Cardinal Guides: to manifest bright virtue, to love the people, and to stop at the highest good!
It is also the "pacification of the world" among the eight objectives: investigation of things, extension of knowledge, sincerity, uprightness of mind, cultivation of oneself, regulation of the family, governance of the country, and peace in the world.
What is Mingde?
The virtue of light.
What does it mean to pacify the world?
To manifest the bright virtues to the world!
How to understand the virtues of light?
Investigate things, acquire knowledge, be sincere, correct your mind, and cultivate yourself!
How to investigate things, acquire knowledge, be sincere, correct one's mind and cultivate oneself?
Learn from the sages, read the classics, examine all things, follow nature, and then after thinking and summarizing, put forward the "Ming De" that you have realized, explain the "Ming De" that you have realized, and promote the "Ming De" that you have realized.
Finally, use the "Ming De" that you have thought, summarized, and realized to change your family, country, and the world, and bend your family, country, and the world into your own shape.
Putting the above points together and roughly translating them, it is easy to know that what Ru Xiuxiu is actually talking about is "I don't care what you think, I only care what I think."
At this moment, the female teacher felt that where she stood, there should be no strange, brute force, evil, or ghostly things.
Especially things related to gods and ghosts, and people who do things related to gods and ghosts.
Follow your words.
As the female teacher's voice fell, a hazy and clear light instantly enveloped this secret place.
It not only covers all the means laid by Padmasambhava, but also isolates the inside and the outside.
The female teacher then spoke again and shouted, "Draw a line on the ground to make a prison." The misty light that completely enveloped this secret place and destroyed all of Padmasambhava's extraordinary means immediately changed its nature and established new rules.
From now on, no one can enter or leave this secret place until the hazy light is taken back, exhausted or broken.
It is even more forbidden to use any magical powers that go beyond the "norm" or have the maximum "special effects"!
Padmasambhava really did as he had said before and allowed the female teacher to do what she wanted without stopping her.
Even though all the means he had set up were eliminated and his freedom was restricted, he still stood there calmly without blinking an eye.
It seemed that it was not himself who was about to be attacked.
The five-way demon who was actually there but was ignored by tacit agreement was not as calm as Padmasambhava and started to scream:
"As expected, your Confucian masters are right. Only women and villains are difficult to raise. You are an ugly, arrogant woman. If you want to beat a bald donkey, why do you have to take me with you?
No, I have to stay away!
Arrogant and conceited people are most likely to become incompetent and furious, and I don't want to be a punching bag!"
While shouting, Wutong Yaodao took action.
I didn't see clearly how he moved.
Just as a toad croaked, the Wutong demon immediately jumped out like a toad.
He jumped so high and fast that he didn't even have time to blink before he was far away from the female teacher and Padmasambhava.
After making sure that the place where he was standing was unlikely to be affected, Wutong Yaodao rolled his eyes, thought of an idea, clapped his hands and chuckled.
An armchair cushioned with soft animal skin and a three-legged round table suddenly appeared out of thin air.
On the three-legged round table, there was a cup of steaming tea and a few plates of fruits and snacks.
Wutong Yaodao sat down on the soft and comfortable armchair, picked up the teacup and took a sip of tea, huffed with enjoyment, then picked up a piece of osmanthus cake, put it in his mouth and chewed it carefully.
You can drink fragrant tea, eat snacks, and watch action scenes.
Life is so comfortable and wonderful.
The pair of narrow and long phoenix eyes that were so beautiful that they looked like a demon narrowed into a slit.
Of course, the female teacher and Padmasambhava saw every move of the Five-Power Demon clearly.
It’s just that Padmasambhava was too lazy to take care of it, and the female teacher had no time to take care of it, so they could only let the Five-Power Demon do what it wanted.
After the "Zi Bu Yu" and "Drawing a Circle on the Ground as a Prison", the female teacher did not relax her vigilance nor become careless when faced with Padmasambhava who was highly suspected of being waiting to be killed.
She no longer used her ability of "words come true", but she also did not use the Confucian methods of playing the piano, chess, calligraphy, painting, and archery to launch attacks.
Instead, he charged forward like a martial artist and attacked the enemy at close range!
A sharp whistling sonic boom suddenly sounded.
The female teacher rushed towards Padmasambhava at high speed like an arrow shot from a bow, and her right hand, which was pointed like a sword, stabbed directly at the center of Padmasambhava's eyebrows.
At this moment, the female teacher returned to her original simplicity, using nothing but her ultimate strength and speed without any other fancy tricks.
At this time, Padmasambhava finally took action.
The hands that had been clasped together loosened.
Stretch your left hand naturally and let it hang down, with the palm facing outwards, forming the mudra of giving and wishing.
The right hand is still placed in front of the chest, with the palm facing outwards, the thumb slightly bent, and the little finger slightly raised, forming the Abhaya Mudra;
With his eyes slightly closed and the corners of his lips curled up with a hint of smile, he chanted: "All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows; like dew and lightning, they should be viewed in this way."
Use the fearlessness seal to calm down and be patient, and keep all kinds of temptations, worries and delusions out of your mind.
The wish seal symbolizes that the Buddha responds to the prayers of sentient beings and makes everything perfect.
At this moment, Padmasambhava, who has attained the state of self-awareness, awareness of others, perfect enlightenment, and bodhisattva, first prays in the mudra of granting wishes, as a living being.
Then, with the fearlessness seal, one can force oneself to complete one’s awakening and practice, and attain the fruition of supreme enlightenment/Buddhahood. This will fulfill one’s prayers and bring about perfection.
What to pray for?
Like a dream, like dew and like lightning!
It disappears as swiftly as the morning dew and flashes by like lightning!
Suddenly, Padmasambhava's figure became like the moon in the water, hazy and illusory, untouchable and unharmable.
What could happen if the woman teacher's right hand, which was pointing like a sword, pierced Padmasambhava's forehead?
Apart from causing some ripples, there was no harm to Padmasambhava.
He also presented himself to Padmasambhava.
Padmasambhava’s right hand, which was in the fearlessness seal, pushed forward like a dragon’s claw and grabbed towards the bulging and round area.
The left hand in the knot and wish seal took the opportunity to lift up, changing to the flower-picking finger, wanting to push aside the lush grass and pinch the flower stamens.
At the same time, chant the Buddha's name, and the Buddha's light will shine everywhere: "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form."
How could the female teacher allow Padmasambhava to succeed?
When the sword finger of his right hand was mired in ripples and his move had not yet been completed, he had already switched forces and retreated, trying to escape from Padmasambhava's attack range.
But Padmasambhava followed him like a shadow, chasing him relentlessly and not letting him get away.
Seeing that both the upper and lower high ground were about to be lost, the female teacher was not panicked at all. Instead, she grinned and said, "Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you."
Once again, the words come true and new rules are established.
This is truly a perfect practice of using one's own spear to attack another's shield.
Masturbating up and down the high ground?
A trace of gloom suddenly flashed across Padmasambhava's pure and clear eyes. His face struggled for a moment, then he sighed helplessly and withdrew his hands.
The female teacher's crisis was resolved, but she was still not satisfied, and continued: "If you don't know etiquette, you can't stand."
This sentence is a rebuke to Padmasambhava, saying that he is a righteous person but actually a beast and not worthy of being a human being.
He even used the power of rules to attack Padmasambhava.
Padmasambhava's previous attack on the female teacher's upper and lower heights perfectly fulfilled this statement.
If Padmasambhava could not refute or evade the blame,
In this battle where the rule of "The Master does not speak of monsters, force, chaos, and gods" was set from the very beginning, and where one is not allowed to use magic or supernatural powers driven by mana, one will be defeated, turned into a beast, and be slaughtered by the female teacher.
At the critical moment, Padmasambhava wiped his head with one hand and his clothes with the other.
In an instant, he took off his monk robes, changed into a dress with his hair loose and his clothes on the left side, and replied confidently, "I am a barbarian."
Barbarians don't know etiquette, but they are still human beings.
The female teacher used Confucian principles to rebuke Padmasambhava, and Padmasambhava also used Confucian magical powers to avoid harm.
It can be said that the Buddhist practice of "taking" is implemented to the fullest extent.
However, he also fell into the trap carefully set by the female teacher based on Padmasambhava's character and style.
The female teacher then gave the final blow: "The barbarians are beasts!"
As he finished speaking, Padmasambhava, with his hair loose and his clothes dressed on the left, was filled with astonishment as the power of rules covered him, and his body was irresistibly distorted and deformed.
In less than two or three breaths, it turned into a beast.
The Wutong demon who was watching the whole fight was overjoyed. He pointed at the hairless donkey that Padmasambhava had transformed into and laughed:
"Hey, bald donkey!"
