042 Birth!Monk Confucian Detective Combination
After seeing these four words, Zhuge Qingyun was in embarrassment and was about to commit advanced cancer.
"Fakong, do you think the guy who sneaked into the Shaolin Temple to steal treasures is skilled in stealing treasures?"
Fakong nodded vigorously.
"The perpetrator's methods are so high that Fakong has never seen him in his life. From the top to the bottom, Lushan's true face has not been revealed at all, as if... It seems to appear out of thin air, and then disappear out of thin air, which is really unimaginable!"
Zhuge Qingyun sighed.
"How can a thief with such means leave behind key evidence? You have also seen that the words left on this piece of clothing clearly gave us clues and led us to find this so-called Qingzhou University. If You are a thief, will you deliberately leave your true location?"
Fakong shook his head vigorously again.
"Of course I won't. Amitabha... I'm just analyzing the problem according to Zhuge Benefactor's intention. By the Lord Buddha, I don't have any delusions of stealing."
"I said, when you are analyzing the problem, can you stop calling Buddha? The old man is very busy, and he has no time to meddle in your business. Where did I just say? I'm so pissed off!"
After reorganizing his train of thought, Zhuge Qingyun quickly put forward several other ideas as he is indeed the most intelligent person in Confucianism.
"Since he left this piece of fabric, there must be a deep meaning in it. According to my guess, there are probably the following possibilities."
"The first possibility is that this treasure thief is from Qingzhou University, and his identity is a college student. The reason why he tore off the words "Qingzhou University" from his clothes and threw them here is to demonstrate to us! "
Zhuge Qingyun quickly added another sentence.
"Of course, this possibility is pure nonsense. Whether it's you, Shaolin or my Songyang Academy, how can an ordinary college student come and go freely?"
Fortunately, Zhuge Qingyun told the truth at the very beginning, or an assumption that was infinitely close to the truth.
Unfortunately, he rejected this possibility in the first place...
"The second possibility is to frame it. Throwing this piece of cloth into Shaolin will make Shaolin misunderstand that it is my Confucianism, so as to instigate the relationship between our two factions, so that he can benefit from it."
In Zhuge Qingyun's view, all the teachers and professors in the world teach students the content that all come from Confucianism.
The clothing with Qingzhou University printed on it naturally also represents Confucianism to some extent.
"As for the third possibility, it leads our thinking to the wrong situation. All in all, all in all, I only found these three possibilities."
Fakong asked cutely after listening for a while.
"So what should we do next?"
"How to do... um..."
Zhuge Qingyun patted the material in the palm of his hand, and quickly made up his mind.
"No matter how you say it, this piece of clothing is the only clue we have so far. If we want to find the person who stole the treasure, we have to find the owner of this piece of clothing first. In my plan, the first step should be to go to Qingzhou University. Observe which one of the students in the school has damaged clothes. Maybe we can get useful clues from him!"
"I've heard that people in the world are not as frugal as they used to be. With such a big hole in the clothes, there shouldn't be anyone who will continue to wear them to show off in the market, right?"
"Even if he doesn't wear it, it doesn't matter. There is his breath on the material, which is very easy to recognize."
Seeing Zhuge Qingyun's self-confidence, Fakong felt a lot more at ease, and his belief in whether he could find the Buddhist treasure was a little firmer.
"Since that's the case, you and I should go down the mountain now! Find the thief sooner, so we can come back sooner."
"Well, before we set off, the two of us should talk to each other first, so that we can have a better understanding of each other's strength. What did you bring down the mountain this time?"
Fakong quickly opened the furoshiki and displayed the utensils inside.
"I went out this time and brought a change of monk clothes and a new alms bowl that the abbot gave me. In addition, the abbot was afraid that I would not be able to meditate when I encountered difficulties, so he also prepared a new wooden fish for me..."
Looking at the precious Fakong, Zhuge Qingyun felt that his brain hurt very much.
"Your master has prepared so many things for you, isn't there one that is related to combat? Do you know that the opponent we meet this time may be very powerful. If we don't have enough equipment to protect ourselves , Let alone whether the things can be taken back, even our little lives are probably very unsafe!"
"Is it really that serious? But my master did prepare a magic weapon for me, which is this alms bowl."
Zhuge Qingyun was taken aback for a moment, then smiled teasingly.
"After talking for a long time, your master left you a beggar. You are really worried about me."
Hearing the word begging for food, Fakong said angrily.
"It's not begging for food! This is called begging!"
PS: When I was young, I read Journey to the West, Sun Houzi was busy fighting demons, but Tang Seng would only say: Wukong, I am hungry as a teacher, go to Huawan and have a fast meal.
The author Jun was very puzzled at the time, Huawan Zhaifan is actually begging for a bowl of food from kind people, why is it called alms for monks to beg for food?
In fact, "begging for alms" is not as simple as just begging for food. This is stipulated by the Buddha himself. Even the Buddha himself has to go around begging with his bowl every day.
There are many disciples of the Buddha, many of them are kings and rich people, and they will not lose their food.
So, "begging for alms" has a lot of meaning.
The Buddha established such a rule, which has two meanings:
[-]. Monks, also known as Futian monks, if all living beings make offerings to monks, they are planting a seed in the Futian. When the karma matures in the future, there will be great blessings. So monks begging for food from you is actually giving you a chance to accumulate blessings.
At that time, the two disciples of the Buddha, one was looking for alms for the rich, and the other was for the poor. The two of them insisted on their own opinions, and neither of them could convince the other. Finally found the Buddha, and the Buddha asked them to explain the reason.
A disciple said,
"The life of the poor is already very difficult, and going to them for food will make their life more difficult, so I think we should seek alms from the rich."
Another disciple said.
"It is precisely because the poor have not accumulated good fortune that they are so poor. We must ask them to sow the seeds of good fortune, so that they will have great blessings in the future and even in the next life."
What the two said seemed to make sense, but the Buddha criticized both of them.
The Buddha said that all living beings are equal, if you only ask the poor for alms, the rich will lose the opportunity to accumulate blessings, and vice versa.
Therefore, you should go door-to-door for alms on the way you pass, and eat whatever others give you.
Begging is also a practice of monks.
Because the monks beg for food at random, many people are not prepared, so they will eat whatever they give to the monks, regardless of meat or vegetables, which keeps the monks away from the temptation of material things.
Of course, begging is not so smooth, and there are many opportunities to suffer cold reception. This is the time to train monks to endure humiliation.
Therefore, by begging for food from you, monks make you have a good relationship with the Buddha, so monks begging for food is also called alms.
Speaking of which, nowadays, only Theravada Buddhist monks in Southeast Asia still regard begging for food as their compulsory homework.
So if you go to Thailand or Myanmar, you are likely to see the following scene.
At dawn, the monks came out of the monastery, consciously lined up in a neat line, holding a large bowl for eating, also called bowl.
The people along the way knelt on the side of the road with clean meals, waiting respectfully for their arrival, and put the food into the bowls in their hands.
No matter what was put into the bowl, the monks accepted it quietly, never rejecting or being critical.
On major festivals, there will be a grand and solemn assembly for monks. Believers will spread flowers on the road, hold carefully prepared food, and wait devoutly for monks from all over the country to come to offer offerings.
Since Master Baizhang Huaihai, Chinese monks have lived together in monasteries, and the monasteries provide meals, so it is rare to beg for food.
If you want to make alms, you must first have an alms bowl.
Just like the purple gold bowl used by Tang Sanzang in "Journey to the West", it is also used for alms.
Many people don't understand the value of the purple gold bowl in Tang Sanzang's hands, and think it is a treasure. Many film and television works exaggerate the ability of Tang Sanzang's purple gold bowl, but in fact it is just a simple eater.
But those film and television works will put forward an argument, which seems to be quite tenable.
Since the purple gold alms bowl is so worthless, why did Tang Seng have to hand over this alms bowl?
In Journey to the West, there is a public case that has always puzzled everyone, that is, Tang Seng's Buddhist scriptures team arrived at Lingshan, thinking that they could easily retrieve the scriptures from the library, but unexpectedly the two venerables reached out to ask for personnel.
Tang Seng's team relies on alms for food on the road, so how can there be any gifts?
So the two venerables turned their faces and only passed on the scriptures without words.
This incident was known to Lao Ran next door, and Ancient Buddha Ran Deng, and made his subordinate Venerable Bai Xiong fly into the air, stretched out a hand to tear the scripture bag, and revealed the truth.
Discovering that they had been deceived, the scripture learning team immediately rushed back to Lingshan to change scriptures in anger, and strange things happened.
Not only did the four King Kongs at the gate seem to know that they were coming back to change scriptures, but the Tathagata also publicly said that I already knew about this. I bought three buckets and three liters of rice grains and gold, and I also said that they charged less.
After the Tathagata explained, he asked the two venerables to preach the scriptures. Unexpectedly, the two venerables still needed personnel.
In this koan, many people think that the author is satirizing the greed of the Buddha. Some people think that the purple gold bowl must be a very powerful magic weapon, but some people think it has a deep meaning.
In fact, to know what the purpose is, one must carefully analyze what this important gift——the purple golden bowl represents, and whether it is worth money.
Zijin is an alloy that combines gold, copper, iron, nickel and other elements. Russia is its main source, and the rest are distributed in Turkey and other countries.
In the Tang Dynasty, Huaxia did not have this kind of purple gold. Therefore, this bowl is not ordinary, but it is not precious to Datang, which is rich in products.Compared with the tin staff and cassock that the Tathagata asked Avalokitesvara to transfer, there is a difference of one hundred and eight thousand miles.
The two venerables are in Lingshan, and there are more treasures in Lingshan. For example, in the immortals in Lingshan introduced in the last chapter, we can see that there are many things around the Tathagata that are more precious than flat peaches and ginseng fruits.
Besides, the Second Venerable doesn't need this bowl, so it's meaningless for them to collect it!
In other words, no matter how much money they have, they have nowhere to spend it!
It can be seen that the two venerables, including the envoy Tathagata behind, did not really ask Tang Seng to hand over valuable things, but asked him to hand over this bowl!
What does this bowl represent?
First of all, it was given by Tang Wang Li Shimin.
When Li Shimin sent him off, he also sworn brothers with Tang Seng, so Tang Seng has always been called Yudigege.
Secondly, it is the guy Tang Seng eats along the way, and it is also the only desire Tang Seng still has-appetite.
After such an analysis, it becomes clear that the Tathagata asked Tang Monk to hand over the purple gold bowl, not because he was greedy for money, but because he wanted him to completely sever the secular relationship. You will be a Buddha in the future, and you are not an imperial brother. Not a secular meal.
Confucianism is proficient in the world's culture, and the two are very familiar with each other, so it is just a joke to say that empty bowls are used for begging.
"Looking at your anxious face, how can you look like an eminent monk? You Shaolin are really creative in using the bowl as a magic weapon! What else can this thing be used for besides alms?"
Fortunately, Fakong was used to Zhuge Qingyun teasing him from time to time, although his face was flushed, he was not overly annoyed with him, and made up his mind to justify the name of the alms bowl bestowed on him by his master.
"This is the red gold alms bowl used by the Tathagata monk in Shaolin. It has great merit. It is also contaminated with the Buddha nature of the eminent monk in Ku'er, so it has now become a low-grade magic weapon. It is hard and indestructible. At the same time It can also expand and contract freely, and has the effect of trapping the enemy. It can be said to be a very powerful Buddhist magic weapon!"
Zhuge Qingyun sighed.
"The red gold bowl is only one word different from the golden bowl of the Tathagata Buddha!"
In the world of gods and Buddhas, the more powerful the exclusive treasures are, the more powerful they are, such as the Vajra cut of Taishang Laojun, the jade bottle of Guanyin Bodhisattva, the golden cudgel of Mr. Wukong who defeated the Buddha, and the golden cymbal of Maitreya Buddha An ancient artifact of heaven and earth.
As the supreme master of "the heaven and the world, I am the only one", the housekeeping skill of the Tathagata Buddha is the Great Day Tathagata Purification Mantra.
Once this mantra comes out, it is like modern nuclear weapons, which can easily destroy the world. Naturally, all the Buddhas in the sky have to respect it as their master.
However, from the perspective of physical weapons, the only magic weapon that Tathagata has in this world is his golden rice bowl, also known as the golden bowl.
In "Journey to the West: The True and False Monkey King", Guanyin Bodhisattva can't tell the difference, and the mirror of the demon can't see it. After the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sent out the Truth Listening to distinguish it, he dared not speak out, so he had to go to Lingshan to ask the Tathagata for help.
What the Tathagata throws out is his golden bowl.
Using the rice bowl to take a photo, the fake Wukong took the initiative and was beaten to death with a stick. Some people also said that the real Wukong was beaten to death.
This is the only relevant record of Tathagata Buddha using weapons.
What is the origin of Tathagata Golden Rice Bowl?
What level of magic weapon is it?
The first thing to note is that the Tathagata Buddha did not bring anything with him when he became a monk.
He gave all the gorgeous clothes and jewelry on his body to the coachman who took him out of the city, it is impossible to keep a golden rice bowl by his side. That is to say, the golden bowl is not available as soon as one debuts.
According to the Buddhist theory, the Tathagata became a Buddha under a bodhi tree beside the river after eating the milk porridge offered by the cowgirl on the bank of the Nilian Chan River.
Afterwards, two businessmen came to offer rice cakes, but Tathagata refused at first, not because he was not hungry, but because it is said that all the Buddhas in the past dynasties did not eat directly with their hands.
At that time, Tathagata abandoned everything, and there was not even a broken bowl around him.
The Tathagata happened to be hungry, and he wanted to eat but there was no one to eat, so embarrassing!
Just at this time, the four heavenly kings among the twenty gods who protect the Dharma came to show their courtesy and held a golden bowl for themselves.
The Tathagata is distressed again, why do you need four bowls for one mouth, but if you want someone's or not, it will cause subordinates to feel emotional.
You can't offend people just now. After thinking about it, the Tathagata used his supernatural powers to melt the rice bowls enshrined by the four heavenly kings into a super-large golden rice bowl. This is the origin of the Tathagata Buddha's golden bowl.
Although the golden bowl of the Tathagata Buddha is not an ancient artifact, it can be worshiped by supreme immortals for many years.
After a long time, it will naturally gather the aura of all things in the world and become a great magic weapon.
In terms of rank, the golden bowl of the Tathagata Buddha should be just an ordinary rice bowl. Through the long-term edification of the Buddha's nature and the worship of all living beings, the golden bowl of the Tathagata Buddha has jumped from an ordinary rice bowl to a yellow grade, a mysterious grade... Has it produced spiritual wisdom? , I am afraid that only the Tathagata Buddha himself knows!
After confirming each other's magic weapon and strength, the two finally left Songshan Mountain and went straight to Qingzhou.
When they set off to leave, Dahuang Langren and Qin Shushu had already fled early, and they were also heading towards Qingzhou.
Up to now, they still don't know what kind of treasure they stole from the Holy Book Hall, and Qin Shushu doesn't even know what kind of turbulent waves will usher in the supposedly comfortable junior year after today!
