Chapter 443 The Wonderful Experience of the Elixir of Felicity

Chapter 443 The Wonderful Experience of the Elixir of Felicity
As the sun set over the treetops of the Forbidden Forest, Harry judged it was time and sneaked into the boys' dormitory after seeing Neville, Dean and Seamus were all in the common room.

Harry took out the sock at the bottom of the suitcase, and pulled out a small shiny bottle.

"Found it." Harry lifted the vial and took a sip of it.

"How does it feel?" Hermione asked quietly.

Harry didn't answer for a moment, and then, slowly but surely, a sense of immense exhilaration flowed through him, as if the opportunities were endless. He felt that he could do anything and everything to get a memory from Slughorn and suddenly it was not only possible but easy.
He smiled and stood up, full of confidence.

"Brilliant, really fast. Well I'm going to Hagrid's."

"What?" Ron and Hermione were taken aback.

"Oh, Harry - you're going to see Professor Slughorn, remember?" said Hermione.

"No," said Harry confidently, "I'm going to Hagrid's, I feel pretty good about it."

"You feel good about burying a unicorn?" Ron asked in amazement.

"Yes," Harry opened the brown paper bag and pulled out the invisibility cloak Hera had given him back, "I feel like I should go there tonight, you know what I mean?"

"I don't understand," said Ron and Hermione together, both terrified now.

"Is this Felix Elixir?" asked Hermione worriedly, holding the bottle up to the light. "You don't have another - what -"

"Crazy prime?" Ron guessed, it was Harry who had already put the Invisibility Cloak on his shoulders, Harry laughed, and the two of them seemed to be even more frightened.

"Trust me, I know what I'm doing...or at least." He walked confidently toward the door. "Felix knows."

He pulled the cloak over his head and walked downstairs, followed by Ron and Hermione.Down the stairs, Harry slipped through the open door.

"What are you doing up there with him?" Lavender Brown screamed, looking past Harry at Ron and Hermione coming down from the boys' dormitory.Harry heard Ron's stammering excuses, and he hurried across the room, throwing them off.

As he crawled through the portrait hole, Harry caught something icy and startled him, and it slid down his arm and up his shoulder.

If anyone else is here, they will definitely be startled. A snake is floating in the air out of thin air, spitting out letters arrogantly.

"You want to follow me, don't you?" Harry hissed in Parseltongue. "You're Hera's pet, right? I remember you."

"That's right, student." Tom said hoarsely, he crawled down Harry's arm, got under his hem, and got inside the invisibility cloak. The cold, slippery touch made Harry shiver.

Harry said irritably, "You'd better leave me, I have things to do."

"No, let me follow you. That guy Hera is in the office. It's not interesting at all." Tom said, he gently hooked his tail around Harry's arm, and put the front half of his body on Harry's shoulder.

"Take me out to play, I promise I won't disturb you."

The voice and tone made Harry feel familiar, but he couldn't tell where it was.But he couldn't waste any more time, the Felix Felicia was only good for three or two hours, and it would be unwise for him to waste all his time on this snake, and he seemed to be quite communicative, so Harry would just leave it alone, as long as it didn't interfere with his memory from Slughorn.

The portrait spun up behind Harry, and it didn't surprise him at all that Harry strode across the castle without needing to tiptoe as he passed no one on the road.He was the luckiest man at Hogwarts tonight.

Why he was sure to go to Hagrid's, he didn't know, as if the potion could only illuminate a few steps at a time, he couldn't see where it would end up, and he couldn't see where Slughorn would come in from, but he knew he was on the right path to get the memory. But it caused Tom to say hello on his shoulder, wondering what Harry was going to do.

To watch a unicorn's funeral?
What does this have to do with Slughorn?
Could it be that Slughorn is actually a sympathetic guy who can't help but cry whenever he sees a unicorn, and then breaks down and confides everything?

This is too ridiculous!

And the unraveling scene almost shocked Tom's eyeballs.

In the foyer, Filch forgot to lock the door. Harry smiled and pushed the door open, breathing in the fresh air and the smell of green grass, and then went down the steps into the twilight.

Tom looked at the gate in astonishment. Even though Harry had already passed the gate, he couldn't help turning his head to check the gate. Is that the gate of Hogwarts Castle? It was handed over to someone as careless as Filch!
If there is a chance, he must be replaced, at least for a reliable guy.

At the bottom of the steps, to Tom's astonishment, Harry suddenly turned his direction. He walked in the direction of the vegetable garden, and he could still hear him muttering: "It would be nice to walk in the vegetable garden, although it's not on the way at all."

Tom really wanted to use his tail to slap the back of Harry's head hard, but he wanted too much to get out, didn't he still plan to go to Hagrid's place?
However, it was not up to Tom, the decision was in Harry's hands, and he walked quickly towards the vegetable garden.

Then, Tom opened his mouth wide again in surprise, even his tongue drooped crookedly at the corner of his mouth. Slughorn was really here. Not just him, but Professor Sprout, they're talking here.

Harry hid behind a low stone wall, listening to their conversation with peace of mind.

"Thank you very much for your trouble, Pomona," said Slughorn politely. "Most authorities agree that the drug works best when picked at dusk."

"What a disgraceful act, Hogwarts assets leaked. They are stealing at this time." Tom shouted loudly in Parseltongue, which made Harry quickly cover his mouth, but his worry was obviously unnecessary, not to mention that Tom's voice was not loud, even if they heard it, they would not understand what Tom was saying.

"Perhaps it was a misunderstanding," Harry whispered, poking his head out and sneaking a wary glance at them.

The conversation continued, "Oh, I agree," Sprout said enthusiastically, "Is that enough?"

"Enough, enough," thanked Slughorn repeatedly, and Tom saw him hugging a large handful of leaves. "My third-year students can get a few pieces each, and I can have some leftover in case someone overcooks. Well, good night, thanks again."

"Look, I said that Professor Sprout could not be like that." Harry patted Tom on the head several times. In his impression, Sprout was a professor with a good personality. How could she help Slughorn to get benefits together? ,

"Perhaps I'm mistaken," said Tom awkwardly, "but you must always be on your guard!"

"Okay okay," said Harry. As Professor Sprout walked towards the conservatory in the growing twilight, Slughorn strode towards Harry's hiding place.

Harry somehow snapped off the cloak, exposing Tom's entire snake to Slughorn.

"Good evening, Professor."

"My God, Harry, you startled me." Slughorn stopped abruptly and looked at Harry warily. "How did you come out of the castle?"

Fortunately, Slughorn's attention was on Harry, and he just glanced at Tom on Harry's shoulder.

"I think Filch forgot to lock the door," said Harry cheerfully, pleased to see Slughorn frowning.

"I'm going to expose that man, I think he cares more about rubbish than the safety of teachers and students but why are you here, Harry?"

"Oh, sir, it's Hagrid," Harry said matter-of-factly. "He's very upset. You know, he's always had a very good relationship with the animals in the Forbidden Forest, professor, don't you understand?"

Slughorn's curiosity was evidently piqued. "I know it," he said gruffly. "Everybody knows it. Thanks to his talent, he's on the verge of forming a friendship with every magical animal."

"Oh, yes, that's right," said Harry, "there was a unicorn that Hagrid saved a few years ago, from Quirrell's mouth, oh—you might not know, at the time—"

"I know." Slughorn interrupted Harry with a wave of his hand. He was afraid to hear a Voldemort's name from Harry's mouth, and he knew Harry would do so.

Harry would have said something: Voldemort was living on the back of Quirrell's head at that time.
"Poor Quirinus," Tom said quietly, which aroused Harry's curiosity, because logically it shouldn't know about Quirrell.Harry had no choice but to hold back his curiosity. He wanted to wait until he went to the dormitory and ask Tom how he knew.

"I also know that there are colonies of unicorns in the Forbidden Forest. I have always wanted to deal with them, but I have never been able to get along with them," Slughorn said softly, looking at the dark Forbidden Forest, "They only like virgins who are pure in body and mind, don't they?" After speaking, he smiled briefly.

"Yes," Harry said, "but this one is the one Hagrid has the deepest affection for. Hagrid saved it, otherwise it would be defiled by Quirrell."

"Touching, touching, Hagrid's fearless courage." Slughorn said absently, his big eyes with drooping lids staring at the light of Hagrid's cabin in the distance. "Unicorns are very precious. If it died without resentment, maybe I can get some. Of course, if Hagrid is unhappy, I don't want to be presumptuous, but if there is a way to get some. You know, it's not easy to get some materials from live unicorns. And I don't have permission from the Ministry of Magic."

Slughorn was more like talking to himself.

Tom couldn't help rolling his eyes at him, this old guy who valued money like his life, he would not let go of any opportunity to get valuable material!

".It seems like such a waste not to harvest it. Maybe I can get a hand with unicorn hides. To be honest, my salary is not very high."

Now Harry saw what to do.

But Tom kept complaining in his ear, which made him upset.

"Well," said Harry, pretending to be thankful for a moment, "Professor, if you want to go, Hagrid might be very happy. You can send that unicorn off more grandly."

"Yes, of course," said Slughorn, his eyes sparkling now, "well, Harry, I'll take a bottle or two down with you and you'll be with us for the poor birth--not the birthday--but after the burial, to see him off nicely. I'll go and change my tie, it's too fancy."

He hurried back to the castle.Harry quickened his pace towards Hagrid, evidently pleased with himself.

"How did you know he was in the garden?" Tom asked suspiciously.

Harry smiled and turned his head to look into Tom's shining yellow eyes and said, "I don't know, I didn't know until I got to the vegetable garden. By the way, what's your name?"

"Tom, my name is Tom, the same name as that damned Dark Lord." Tom said indifferently, his voice sounded hoarse, harsh, and contradictory as if he had been run over by a wheel.

But it just gave Harry a familiar feeling, just as Professor Slughorn left, so he asked curiously, "How did you know about Quirrell?"

"Haha, what's the point?" Tom laughed dryly. "That Lestrange mentioned in the office by chance that he doesn't seem to have anyone to talk to. As long as I show a little interest in his affairs, he will tell me all his troubles."

"Well, Quirrell is his trouble?" Harry asked suspiciously, "He has another face on his head! Wouldn't it be a good thing for Dumbledore and I to kill him?"

"Alas," Tom sighed, "they could have saved Quirinus until he started drinking unicorn blood, though it was risky, but... to be honest, Dumbledore did a disgraceful job."

"How can you, a snake, understand Dumbledore's intentions? Quirrell has gone astray when he chose to accept Voldemort on his head." Harry said angrily, one of the few people he hated so much.

Other people he hated probably: Wormtail, Barty Crouch Jr., Voldemort, and now his Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Snape.

"You don't understand the things in between." Tom said quietly, and it closed its mouth. It knew that he and Harry couldn't make sense. In Harry's eyes, the world was only black and white. As for those poor people who had no choice, they were almost all black in Harry's eyes.He can't understand their difficulties at all.

When Quirrell meets the legendary Dark Lord in the Albanian forest, what can he do?Do you expect a student who has not graduated long ago to be able to resist the Dark Lord's bewitching?
You know, even many famous and powerful adult wizards can't resist Voldemort.
