Chapter 36 Boggart
Chapter 36 Boggart
On the second day, Hera was waiting early in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. After a week of teaching life, he was able to get up early every day.
Of course, it was mainly due to Cowper's accurate timekeeping in the morning, which also included a breakfast.
In the past two years, it's not that Hera didn't want to get up early, it's just that if she gets up in the morning, she can just save breakfast and save some expenses. Only two meals a day are enough.
In the Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the first grade, Gryffindor and Slytherin took it together.
Thinking of this, Hera had been curious for a long time. Why did Dumbledore arrange for most of the classes of the two colleges to be held together when the relationship between the two colleges was clearly in dire straits?
Doesn't this make the already stiff relationship between the two colleges even more tense?
But it seems that this is only the case in the lower grades, and the two academies will separate in the upper grades.
Could it be that the fight between the two college seniors is not serious?
Forget it, this kind of problem is not within the scope of Hera's consideration. Anyway, I am just a substitute professor, and I don't have the leisure and elegance to mediate the centuries-old grievances between the two colleges.
Hera rubbed her palms excitedly, and patted the old wardrobe beside her. She had prepared a good toy for little Harry, and she would definitely bring a novel experience to the little wizard in the first grade.
Even if they are children of wizard families, few have seen this, have they?
Fortunately, the students didn't keep Hera waiting too long, at least Harry did, and he had that little Weasley follower by his side.
"Professor!" Harry waved his little hand excitedly, holding a book in his hand. Through the exposed corner, Hera could see its name - "Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense".
Hera curled her lips, not knowing what Quirrell and Dumbledore were thinking, but they actually used this book as a textbook. There were clearly dozens of common-sense mistakes in it, including but not limited to descriptions of werewolves and vampires.
"Harry, good morning." Hera narrowed her eyes and smiled gently. Anyone who looked at him would probably only regard him as a warm-hearted big brother.
Looking at the time before it was too late, he asked casually, "How are you doing recently? Can you adapt to life in Hogwarts?"
"Oh! It's really terrible." Harry had a bitter face, the corners of his mouth curled down, and then he seemed to remember something, and asked, "Professor, do you know what's hidden in the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor?"
"Huh? The corridor on the fourth floor?" Hera frowned slightly. What happened to the corridor on the fourth floor? What else could be hidden there?
Just as Harry was about to say something, Ron next to him tugged at his sleeve. He hesitated and said, "Didn't Professor Dumbledore say that the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor is forbidden to enter when school started? We guess there must be something hidden there, right?"
"Hmm." Hera dragged her chin and pondered. Did Dumbledore say that that day?
Oh, I was so absorbed in eating that day that I didn't even pay attention to what Dumbledore said.
"We'd better listen to what Professor Dumbledore said, he is the wisest person in the world." Hera nodded approvingly, talking about her own words.
"Okay, Professor." Harry nodded.
He stretched his hands on Harry's head and rubbed it, messing up the hair that he had managed to get down, and a piece of it was curled up at the back.
"Okay, those are not things you should consider, why don't you learn Defense Against the Dark Arts first." Hera blinked and joked, "I won't ask Professor Quirrell to give you a high score just because we have a good relationship."
"Yes, Hera." Harry drawled, not at all joyful.
Almost all the students in the classroom had arrived, and Hera returned to the podium to wait for the class.
The first-year little wizard has long heard from the seniors that the Defense Against the Dark Arts class has changed professors. The new professor Hera is cool and interesting. The only problem is that he is a little too handsome. The seniors are not serious about the lectures, and even start to question their own learning ability.
"Hi everyone, I believe you already know that I am Hera Lestrange, the substitute teacher of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Until Professor Quirrell comes back, I will take everyone to study the Defense Against the Dark Arts class."
The little wizard below blinked, but he was not teased by the students like he was listening to Quirrell in class before.
"Today is our first class, so it's a bit different." Hera smiled, "Practical class."
Hera caught a glimpse of the surprised expressions of the students in the audience. They must have never taken the practical class of Defense Against the Dark Arts, right?
Not to mention the first-year freshmen, Hera has studied at Hogwarts for seven years, and has never had a practical class.
"Yes, everyone heard it right, it's a practical class."
"Then." Hera patted the wardrobe next to her, and the wardrobe suddenly shook and hit the ground with a bang.
"Next is our first lesson. Do you know that there are dark and closed environments like those magical creatures?"
Hermione raised her hand, and Hera raised her eyebrows and nodded.
"The books mention ghouls, kabbas, and boggarts."
Hera waved Hermione to sit down, "It seems that Miss Granger has already read the whole book, but Kabbah is a kind of water monster, and Kabbah lives in not deep ponds and rivers, so obviously it won't be in the closet.
Ghouls, on the other hand, usually live in the attic or barn of the wizard's house, and they are always making noise, moaning constantly, and occasionally throwing things around.
So... in the closet is - Boggart! "
Hera patted on the closet again, and the Boggart inside shook it twice again, showing a satisfied smile.
This boggart is really giving face!
"This is the Boggart I found from the clock tower on purpose. I rashly brought it here as a practical teaching material for everyone. I also hope that everyone will not report to Professor Dumbledore." Hera said with a bright smile at the end.
He naturally greeted Dumbledore, and Dumbledore didn't object, and even agreed with it very much. He even suggested that it should be used for first-year little wizards to practice first.
Hera can assure you that Dumbledore just wanted to give Harry some experience.
Contacting what I said before asking Quirrell to find some magical creatures that can be dealt with in the first grade is obviously giving Harry a chance to exercise.
The students were a little panicked when they heard Hera's words, and several students even jumped up in fright.
"There's a Boggart inside," Hera emphasized again.
Suddenly found that the students looked at you a little strangely, even a little scared?
Shouldn't the students be very happy when they encounter such a fun thing?
This is different from what he imagined before!
