Chapter 340 Eavesdropping on Talking is Not a Gentleman
Chapter 340 Eavesdropping on Conversations Is Not a Gentleman
"I think you'll need this." Snape threw the vial to Hera with a cold face, and Hera almost missed catching it. He frantically tossed the vial in the air several times before it fell safely into his arms.
Hera picked up the small bottle and asked suspiciously, "What is this?"
"Something you will need." Snape said coldly, and then left the auditorium waving his black robe, the sound of pattering footsteps was particularly abrupt in the empty auditorium.
Hera picked up the small bottle and carefully looked at the liquid inside. It was a golden liquid, as if gold had been melted.Hera's breathing became heavy, "Is this... Felicity Elixir?"
"I will never admit my mistake!" Hera happily looked at the small bottle in her hand. Although it looked like it was only enough for one sip, it was precious enough. Every time Felicia Felicia appeared, it would set off a storm in Knockturn Alley. Its brewing method was very complicated, and if it was wrong, the consequences would be disastrous.
Probably only the top potion masters could brew it—Snape's potion strength is among the best in the entire wizarding world. But Hera had no doubt that this must have consumed a lot of his energy.
"Giving me a bottle of Felix Elixir?" Hera held the small bottle firmly in his hand, and he put it into his pocket almost immediately, "So Snape brewed a whole pot of Felix Elixir?"
Hera patted the small pocket and murmured, "He must have more in stock."
If Snape knew that Hera was thinking about his remaining Felicia, he would have regretted giving it to Hera - he shouldn't have let Hera know that he had brewed it.
Hera's mood suddenly improved a lot. Compared with the frustration that the dueling club was forced to close, he was even more happy with the bottle of Felicia.
Just as he was about to stand up from his seat and go back to the office, there were sudden bursts of noisy footsteps outside the auditorium.
Hera fixed her eyes on the door and held her wand tightly. Soon, the door of the auditorium was pushed open, and there were dozens of young wizards. Hera could tell from the bronzing pattern on their clothes that they belonged to the four houses—even Gryffindor accounted for the majority.
"Professor." Harry stood at the front, and his voice directly made Hera want to cry. "We all support you, we believe in you, not that toad."
"Children, you'd better go back to the dormitory." Hera waved her hand, not wanting them to see his slightly red eyes.
"We want to follow you to learn real self-defense magic, instead of sitting in a classroom and staring blankly." A fat man with buck teeth also stood up. Hera remembered him. It was Neville Longbottom, a Gryffindor who could only cause trouble, and a potion idiot who could only blow up cauldrons.
Hera wiped her eyes, "Children, I won't let the Dueling Club close like this, I will find a way."
"We trust you, Professor." The little wizards said in unison.
However, a disgusting voice suddenly sounded at the door of the auditorium, "Children, what are you doing? At this time, you should be lying in the dormitory, not in the auditorium."
Hera turned her gaze to a pink figure with a fat pig-like figure and a disgusting face—Umbridge.
He stood up quickly and walked over to the students, keeping them behind him so that Umbridge wouldn't yell at them.
"Umbridge, I don't think it's the curfew time yet. They can go about their activities in the castle, whether it's going to the library or wherever. This doesn't violate the school rules." Hera said very seriously, which made Umbridge stunned.
Immediately, Umbridge's expression became very subtle, and she said coyly, "Of course, this is not against the school rules, but the Ministry of Magic rules—"
"This is Hogwarts, and I don't think the Ministry of Magic stipulates that students have to go back to their dormitories after dinner?" Hera retorted, interrupting Umbridge roughly.
Umbridge's face became ugly, and her fingers were entangled fiercely, "Of course, this is not against the school rules, and the Ministry of Magic has no clear rules—"
"Then you have no right to let them go back to the dormitory now." Hera said loudly, and the little wizard behind him also retorted: "Why don't you let us out?"
"It's still early?"
"Is the Ministry going to imprison us? I'm going to tell my mother."
"I'll write to the Ministry of Magic, I'm going to complain to them!"
Umbridge seemed overwhelmed, and she took a step back, "Okay." But then she said viciously, "I better not find you breaking any rules, or I'll make sure you have an unforgettable experience."
"What could be more sad than this school year?" Harry said loudly, and everyone understood what he meant. With Umbridge, Hogwarts has indeed become a lot worse. She dragged down the teaching level of the entire Hogwarts by herself.
"You'd better keep your mouth shut, Mr. Potter. I don't mind your detention." Umbridge pointed her stubby turnip-like fingers at Harry.
Harry slacked his shoulders indifferently; Hera had taught him how to deal with Umbridge's constriction. "Although you put me in confinement, you can't stop my mouth."
"You—" Umbridge was shaking with anger.
Hella stopped Harry to prevent him from provoking Umbridge further, lest she target Harry, "I don't think there are any 'rule violation' students you are looking for, so, can you leave?"
"I can't wait!" Umbridge said viciously, turned around and left on his high heels.
Her leaving made the little wizards cheer. Hera sighed, turned around and patted Harry on the shoulder, looking at the little wizards seriously.
"Children, I understand your thoughts, but right now the Dueling Club obviously cannot be held publicly. I will think of a way. You'd better go back to the dormitory. When I think of a way, I will have a way to notify you."
"what"
"But I really want to learn!"
The little wizards complained one by one.
Hera pursed her lips and said with a straight face: "After Dumbledore comes back, I will definitely have a solution. Trust me, okay?"
"Okay." The little wizards drooped their heads, a little frustrated.
"Harry, take the students back to the dormitory, okay?" Hera said to Harry.
Harry looked at Hera worriedly. He felt as if he was causing her trouble, because he was the one who encouraged the students to come downstairs-of course, the Slytherin gang was not called by him, they were purely spontaneous.
"Yeah." Hera looked at Harry until he gave an affirmative answer.
The little wizards quickly left the auditorium. Looking at their backs, Hera sighed a little. It's really good to have the feeling that these little guys trust her!
This almost surpassed the happiness that Felicia Felicia brought him.
Of course, Felicia is more enjoyable.
After returning to the dormitory, Harry lay on the bed almost immediately, thinking about what happened recently.Harry couldn't sleep, he felt like he'd been causing Hera trouble, making everyone worry about him, not just Ron and Hermione.
"Maybe, I should do it myself instead of causing Hera more trouble." Harry murmured sideways.
Ron on the opposite bed closed his eyes, "Aren't you asleep, Harry?"
"I was thinking about something," said Harry.
"Forget it, we're just students." Ron pulled the quilt up to cover his chest.
Harry jumped up from the bed and exclaimed happily, "Ron, I figured it out, I figured it out."
"What did you think of?" Simon rubbed his eyes and looked up at Harry. He was Harry's roommate. This was a six-person dormitory. The other two were Neville and Dean.
"I figured it out, we can learn magic ourselves!" Harry yelled, his voice waking up all the roommates.
Neville sat up, barely sleepy, "But we're just students, my grandma said—"
"Don't talk about your grandma, she always won't let you do anything." Simon interrupted Neville, "Harry, go ahead, I'm a little interested."
"But No. 20 No. [-] Education Order," Dean said hesitantly.
"Better to be expelled in self-defense than to sit safely in school with a black eye," retorted Ron, who was firmly on Harry's side.
"I think you're right," Simon agreed.
The six little wizards kept talking very late, and they almost staggered down on the bed until sleepiness swept through their brains, but the result was very good, even the always timid Neville agreed with them.
Then, the next thing they need to consider is how to learn self-defense magic.
They soon got another piece of good news. The reorganization of the Quidditch team had passed. Although they needed to re-select the players and hand over the list to Umbridge, at least they could practice and prepare for the Quidditch game.
Hera had a pretty good life these days, and Umbridge unexpectedly didn't bother him, but he suspected that she just put more energy on the students, because he learned from Professor Flitwick that Umbridge had to face a lot of complaint letters from the Ministry of Magic every day, which were sent to the Ministry of Magic by the parents of the students - the students told their parents what happened in the school.
Obviously, the Ministry of Magic's move was not approved by the parents at all. They read the report in the "Daily Prophet" and thought it was a good policy, but when they received the letters from the children, they realized what a big mistake it was.
And Dumbledore hasn't come back these days, which has to be said to be frustrating news. Hera only hopes that when he comes back, he can bring back a Horcrux, or some clue.
The weekend soon arrived, and in the morning, Professor Flitwick excitedly chatted with Hera about going to Hogsmeade in the afternoon.
"I think we'd better go to the Hog's Head, where there are fewer people, so that our conversation won't be overheard," said Professor Flitwick, beaming.
Hera nodded, "Of course it's good. By the way, what did Professor Sprout and Professor McGonagall say, have they agreed?"
Almost the moment Hera finished speaking, Professor Sprout and Professor McGonagall turned their heads and nodded towards Hera and Flitwick with a smile.
"I think they're quite happy," said Professor Flitwick, winking at Hera. "Didn't you see that?"
Hera gave Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout a big smile back, "That's really great."
"We all hope this is a private reception, and I feel like I might say something surprising." Professor Flitwick lowered his voice, and he rolled his eyes at Umbridge angrily.
Hera also leaned down and said in a very low voice: "Believe me, I also don't have any good words to describe what happened recently."
Professor Flitwick laughed, and picked up his knife and fork again for breakfast.
On this day, the weather was clear but windy. After having breakfast, Hera headed to Hogsmeade first. He didn't want to see Umbridge's face again.
When Hera came to the school gate, she saw the students patted in a long line, waiting for Filch to check their names one by one, to make sure that they were really allowed to visit Hogsmeade by their families.
"Hera!"
Almost the moment Hera appeared, there was a huge cheer among the students. If someone else came, they would think they saw Dumbledore.
"Good morning, Hera." Filch greeted Hera while holding a long piece of parchment.
Hera nodded, and greeted the students and Filch, "Good morning, Argus, it seems that you are really busy."
"Who said it wasn't? But I like the job, even though the students are always disobedient." Filch said with a smile, much to the amazement of the students, who thought Filch had no idea what a smile was.
"Okay, kids, go and enjoy your weekend, remember not to drink." Hera joked with the students humorously, "If I see any of you secretly ordering alcohol at the Three Broomsticks, I must tell your dean."
"It's not good, Professor!" a Ravenclaw girl complained.
Hera smiled, letting everyone know he was joking, and walked briskly to Hogsmeade.
"Hera, are you planning to go to Hogsmeade?" Filch called out to Hera in a low voice. He waved at Hera, trying to let her come over quietly, but the students around all saw it. They stretched their necks one by one, hoping to hear what they said clearly.
Hera put on a straight face and said to the students, "Eavesdropping on other people's conversations is not something a gentleman or a lady should do."
"Hera, I heard a piece of news, and I overheard it by accident," Filch rubbed his hands, trying to prove that he didn't overhear the news on purpose, "I didn't mean to."
"Argus, I know who you are, and I don't think of you like most people in this castle." Hera said, these words gave Filch a lot of confidence.
