Chapter 28 Legilimency
Chapter 28 Legilimency
It was a dark room with hundreds of glass bottles on the shelves, slimy specimens of animals and plants floating in colorful potions. The corner cabinet was filled with Snape's personal treasures.
If these were brought to the black market, Hera knew without guessing that they would be able to sell thousands of Galleons, but he could only drool over it, after all.
Snape's eyes were fixed on him.
"Ahem." Hera didn't know the extent of what Dumbledore and Snape had said, and she was worried that she would break Dumbledore's plan by rashly speaking about Voldemort, so she said carefully:
"Professor Dumbledore wants me to learn Occlumency from you, you are a well-known expert in this field!"
Hera thought that her flattery was just right, and she should be flattering her ass, but Snape's face turned colder in an instant.
"Hmph!" Snape turned his back to Hera, his black robe rolling.
"Professor Snape? When will we start learning?" Hera didn't know Snape's intentions, but it was obviously not a bad thing to be able to learn advanced magic, and Snape would definitely not be able to hold back Dumbledore.
Your boss has already spoken, so what else can you insist on?
"So," said Snape coldly, "have you ever heard of Occlumency?"
"Yes." Hera nodded confidently, isn't it just Occlumency?
Who doesn't know this kind of common sense! ?
"Occlumency is a magical art that resists external spiritual infiltration. It can seal the brain to resist magical invasion and influence. The opposite magic is Legilimency."
"And then?" Snape waited for about ten seconds, and was surprised to find that Hera's words ended like this. Even his usually indifferent tone was mixed with some surprise.
"Then it's learning!" Hera raised her head and said righteously. After all, Hogwarts does not teach Occlumency, and what I know is basically the most detailed description in the library.
But this can't be blamed on Hogwarts, after all, it has always advocated happy education and does not suppress the nature of students, so...
To put it bluntly, it is laborious and unflattering. Occlumency is an effective means to deal with Legilimency, but Legilimency is a forbidden spell. Once used, it will be locked in Azkaban.
If Hogwarts students were forced to learn Occlumency, the graduation rate would be exaggeratedly low.
"Hmph! Stupid guy, I don't know why you weren't assigned to Hufflepuff." Snape said icily.
"." Hera didn't know how to refute for a while, she clearly met the Slytherin's recruitment criteria!
Elegant and handsome enough, the only drawback may be that there are not enough Galleons, but the branch can't see who has more money, right?
But who made Snape the head of Slytherin?
Endure yourself first!
After learning Occlumency, give Snape a big slap in the face first!
"Occlumency is a prerequisite to defeating a Legilimensist's lie-detection abilities, using questionable practices such as avoiding face-to-face or eye contact in the process.
Basic Occlumency involves clearing the mind of thoughts and emotions so that the Legilimency cannot find any emotional connections to memories that the polygrapher intends to conceal.
In a more advanced form" Snape stopped suddenly when he said this in a greasy tone, and turned his head to look at Hera, the contemptuous gaze in him was almost substantive.
"What will happen in a more advanced form?" Hera asked a little confidently, he really didn't understand these things, but
Aren't professors just teaching people knowledge?
If you can do it yourself, why do you need Professor Snape?
Thinking of this, Hera regained her confidence in an instant, and even straightened her back.
"You want to run before you can walk?" Snape pulled an ugly smile on his face.
"Come on, let's see how Mr. Lestrange is?" Snape said calmly, pointing to the seat in front of his desk.
Hera found a chair and sat down, facing Snape across the table, her hands couldn't help sweating, God knows if Snape would give himself an Avada directly when he saw the thoughts in his head.
Who made him constantly fill his head with the ridiculous image of Snape in lace dresses, top hats, and a huge pink bracelet dangling from his hand?
If it were Dumbledore, it would probably be Avada.
"Lestrange, be serious!" said Snape. "The Headmaster told me to call you Occlumency. I just hope you've got less troll saliva in your head. At least you're a little smarter than you were in Potions class."
"Yes." Hera didn't dare to say much.
"This is no ordinary class." Snape's eyes narrowed sinisterly.
"Yes."
"The Dark Lord is extremely good at Legilimency, and he can even be called the strongest Legilimency master in the world. He can almost always see that others are lying to him. Only a person who is good at Occlumency can seal the feelings and memories that contradict lies, and not be discovered in front of him."
Snape paused for a moment, apparently waiting for Hera to show surprise before satisfying his wicked taste.
However, Hera's expression was as plain as water, which made him a little disappointed.
"People with Legilimency can study other people's minds in certain situations and make correct interpretations"
Snape continued to talk eloquently, and Hera had never seen Snape say such a long paragraph besides cursing, but his thoughts had already drifted far away.
'I seem to have lied to Voldemort once, but he didn't see it?Am I actually an Occlumency master without knowing it? '
"So, the headmaster asked me to teach you how to deal with the Dark Lord. Stand up and take out your wand, Lestrange." Snape's voice suddenly became louder, and Hera quickly took out her wand out of reflex.
Feeling the magic wave on Hera's wand, Snape showed a smile, unhurriedly took out his wand from his robe, and pointed it at Hera.
"Not bad, it looks a little bit better."
The momentum between the two became tense instantly, and the two confronted each other across the table.
Hera pursed her lips, although she didn't know what Snape said, but it didn't affect that he always wanted to teach Snape a lesson, to avenge himself for being beaten and ridiculed by him all these years in school!
"You can disarm me with your wand, or defend yourself in any way you can think of." Snape said the last two words in a particularly emphatic voice.
God knows if Hera would just throw him an 'Avada eating a big melon', what if Hera was an undercover agent photographed by the Dark Lord?
