Chapter 257 Mission - Attack
Chapter 257 Mission - Attack
Villagers in Little Hangleton still refer to the house as "Riddle House," even though the Riddles haven't lived here in years.
The house is situated on a hillside from which the whole village can be seen.Several windows of the house were sealed, the tiles on the roof were incomplete, and ivy crawled all over the house with its teeth and claws.
The Riddle Hall, which had been a large and handsome house, the largest and grandest building for miles around, was now damp, desolate, and perennially unoccupied.
The villagers of Little Hangleton agreed that this old house was "scary". Half a century ago, a bizarre and terrible thing happened here, but it had nothing to do with Hera. He came to find Voldemort.
Pushing open the dilapidated wooden door on the dilapidated courtyard, Hera walked in. The inside was dilapidated, perhaps because no one lived there for a long time.
"Alahoo hole!" Hera pointed the tip of her wand at a door that was almost covered by the ivy, and opened the door soundlessly.
Walking into the cave-like dark kitchen, the surroundings were pitch black. Hera waved his wand lightly, and a beam of light lit up at the tip of the wand. He groped forward and saw a door, which led to a long corridor.
A rotten smell rushed towards his face, and Hera pricked up his ears to catch every sound of footsteps or voices in the mansion. He came to the corridor, because there were large mullioned windows on both sides, which let in some light. He started to go upstairs. Thanks to the thick dust accumulated on the stone steps, the sound of his footsteps could not be heard.
On the landing, Hera turned to the right, trying to find out where Voldemort and Wormtail were. At the end of the corridor, a door was ajar, and a flickering light shot through the crack, casting an orange shadow on the dark floor.
dong dong dong~!
Hera knocked lightly on the door, but didn't rush in.
"It is a pleasure to see you, Hera," said Voldemort in a hoarse, icy voice. "You always bring me good news."
"It's just what I should do." Hera responded with a slight bow.
Voldemort's voice became high-pitched and as icy as the wind. "Damn Wormtail, he can't even take care of me. If it wasn't for the house-elf, I'd starve to death!"
"Master. I have tried my best, my faithful." Wormtail's condition has not improved at all, and he has even become worse. His already thin hair is almost falling out now, and his skin is dirty.
"Enough," Voldemort's voice was icy. "Where's Nagini?"
"I—I don't know, Master," said Wormtail nervously. "I suppose he's been looking around the house."
"Useless trash," said Voldemort angrily. "By the way, Hera, where is my faithful servant?"
"Reporting to the Dark Lord, he is currently in Black's old house, and I think he is waiting for your instructions." Hera took two steps closer to Voldemort, and he could see more clearly that Voldemort looked like a wrinkled, scalded baby, ugly and terrifying.
"Very well, Voldemort never disappoints his followers, tell him that I need him and bring him to me." Voldemort's voice was cold, but his attitude towards Wormtail was much better.
"Yes, Lord Dark Lord." Hera said obediently, "I don't know if Lord Dark Lord can satisfy my trivial and small request."
"Say!"
"I hope that my existence can be erased from Barty Crouch Jr.'s memory." Hera lowered her head very low, and his identity should be hidden as much as possible, preferably the kind that can turn into Dumbledore's undercover identity when Voldemort collapses.
"That's not a problem. We got the news from Bertha Jorkins when we were in Albania. It took a lot of work to extract the fragments we wanted from her fragmented memory, didn't you, Wormtail?" Voldemort's voice was calm as if discussing what to have for lunch, but it didn't affect Hera at all to imagine how miserable Bertha Jorkins' ending would be.
"Thank you, His Royal Highness the Dark Lord. Is there anything I can do for you?" Hera pretended to be very happy and said, in fact, he was really happy in his heart.
As long as one's identity is well hidden, there is still a chance to bounce back.
"Hera, I need you, Wormtail, and Barty Jr. to do something," said Voldemort.
Hera lowered her head and listened quietly.
"You use the Imperius Curse to control Barty Crouch and Mad-Eye Moody. There will be a Triwizard Tournament in the next school year. I need some chess pieces." Voldemort's voice was cold, but he continued methodically, "First of all, you need to make Harry Potter become"
As daunting as the task sounds, it is even more daunting to do.
Fortunately, Crouch said that the biggest problem is Mad-Eye Moody. He is a very famous Auror. It is said that half of the prisoners in Azkaban were captured by him, and he was never stingy in using the Unforgivable Curse. Thanks to this, he has so many enemies that he is a little too vigilant in his daily life.
It's really hard to start!
Hera helped Batty Jr. grab a wand from Knockturn Alley. It must not be as easy to use as his own wand, but after all, it was an extraordinary period, and Batty Jr. didn't care about anything. He just wanted to get revenge on Batty Batty. He licked the corner of his mouth with his tongue from time to time, looking extremely disgusting.
"I repeat, Wormtail sneaked into Moody's house first, and Barty Jr. and I knocked on the door from the front, and then Wormtail sneaked up from behind him." Hera repeated the strategy he had discussed earlier. This was the least possible plan he could think of to startle the enemy, and it would not attract anyone's attention.
"Okay, I see." Little Barty said impatiently, which caused the veins on Hera's forehead to pop again. Fortunately, Wormtail nodded, and he did not refuse such a difficult task.
"Then let's start to act now." Hera glanced at the sky, and the sun had just turned pale. It was around two or three o'clock in the morning, which happened to be the most sleepy time of the day.
Wormtail gradually loses his human form, becoming a mouse that remains nearly hairless.
"Little Barty, let's get ready." Hera whispered, and he turned out of the alley and stood at the door of Mad-Eye Moody's house.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, Hera guessed that Wormtail Peter had successfully sneaked in. Just when he was about to knock on Moody's door, an explosion suddenly rang in his ears.
Bang! ! !
